- One of the more favored arcade mixes of DDR for its extensive song list with its revivals (especially licenses), so much that fans made a modified version of this mix called "DDR EXTREME PRO" which is basically this mix with EX score in normal gameplay.
This mix left quite a bang before they went into a four-year hiatus.
Green songs - New DDR EXTREME songs
Yellow songs - Bemani crossovers
Purple songs - DDR Solo, Club version and Home version songs
Blue songs - DDR 1st to DDRMAX2 songs
Red songs - Boss songs
DDR Extreme is the best DDR of all time

back when "live streaming" was just standing around this machine and watching people pop off in extreme mode at the arcade !
For this thought to be the last DDR made at its time of release, they really outdid themselves with the songlist and all the hard-hitters from previous games. A true swan song.
Have had this machine in my house since I was around ten. Was broken for years until I found someone who could repair it, and it still kicks just as much ass as I remember.

@@yourneighbor6152 to be honest I was so young I don't really remember how much we got it for, but to answer your question: yes! I still love playing it. DDRE is in my opinion the best DDR from that era. Thanks to this machine I've been able to become a much better player, able to do low high / mid level heavy songs. Also life's been challenging for me these past few years :/ but thank you for asking! It's cool someone saw this comment I made so long ago :D

There is an arcade near my house that has DDR extreme, it’s now my go to place to hang out.
Awesome! I always wanted that kind of experience during my youth, but alas, the nearest arcade that has DDR in my home requires commute; I can't walk from home to get there.

This is still the best home release of DDR ever made. It has a few less songs than the arcade release but all the good stuff is there.

Brought back so many awesome memories of my teen years going to the Playland USA local arcade every Friday/Saturday night and playing for hours. It no longer exists but a new arcade was built at the mall 2 years ago and I just went this weekend and found DDR extreme there and played 3 rounds. Definitely out of shape compared to teenage me but I remembered all the steps and continued to get all A’s! 💖💖

What I wouldn't give for this damn virus to be properly taken care of so I could play this masterpiece of a DDR game in the arcades again. Oh well, at least I have the following import games to keep me busy until then:

I live an hour away from a Video Game Store and they have a mini arcade there. Last time I went there was for one sole reason:

I heard Grand Century's Arcade in San Jose, CA, had one because that room is full of old games.
This definitely helped me find a lot of my favorite songs from back in the day-- playing at the arcade for hours on end.
I find it hard to believe that some of the Challenge remixed songs by Naoki from DDRMAX2 are actually Dancemania licensed songs and not Konami Originals. I'm pretty sure that all Naoki songs before MAX2 were always Konami Originals.
Those Dancemania challenge songs have a chance of being present in Random Dancemania. If one of the difficulties is Challenge, then it's a high chance it's one of them. I enountered Still in my Heart (Momo mix) in Stage 3.

I hear these few secends of every song and most of them I have heared on the arcade with a few of the DDR machines that wore in the rotation

For the console version, press start. But take note that unlike the arcade version, all 111 songs are already on the default list.

Just stick with the console versions. Or you could use beware's stepmania of DDR extreme

Desde mi humilde punto de vista cada juego del DDR superaba al anterior y para mi el mejor DDR de todos los tiempos es el DDR Extreme por supuesto hablando de la versión arcade japonesa (con 240 canciones) justo la que sale en este video
DDR Extreme JP tiene el record con 111 canciones para la consola (PS2) sin DLC, solo es superado por el DDR Ultramix 4 con 163 canciones (XBOX) pero con DLC
DDR Extreme USA (con 71 canciones) muy pero muy inferior a sus contrapartes japonesas, apartir de este DDR se utiliza una interfaz que para mi es la más fea de todas, esta interfaz se utiliza también en el DDR Festival
DDR Party Collection (con 47 canciones) tiene una interfaz muy parecida al DDR Extreme JP, pero con muy pocas canciones
DDR Extreme 2 (con 74 canciones) mucho mejor que el DDR Extreme USA por mucho, una de las cosas buenas que tiene el DDR Extreme 2 es que cada una de sus 74 canciones tiene su propia animación en las canciones, ninguna se repite en otra canción
Los DDR posteriores al DDR Extreme JP son relativamente buenos, pero no son mejores al DDR Extreme JP
Apartir del DDR SuperNova fueron perdiendo poco a poco la esencia de los DDR
No quiero decir que sean juegos malos porque no lo son, simplemente digo que poco a poco fue perdiendose lo que fue y lo que era en sus tiempos de gloria

En el DDR 4thMix de las 54 canciones que salen, talves unas 6 no me gusten y las demás si
En el DDR 5thMix de las 47 canciones que salen, talves 5 no me gusten y las demás si
Y justamente en los DDR mas actuales me pasa lo contrario de las tantas canciones que tenga el juego, talves unas 10 o 15 canciones me gusten y las demás no que son la mayoría
Y no he jugado los DDR mas actuales, pero si he visto el listado de canciones que tienen en youtube y hay algunas canciones que se ven bien, pero las demás si no es que la mayoría hasta flojera da no mas de ver el video, porque son canciones muy lentas de BPM y no son pegadizas
Los DDR de la PS1 y PS2 se caracterizaban porque sus canciones eran o son Eurodance y Techno
Los DDR mas actuales ya casi no tienen el Eurodance, son más de Pop
Insisto es solo mi punto de vista, solo una opinión

I sucked at few songs but love the soundtracks. Sadly, the machines are removed from the malls/theaters. Unless I wasn't aware if they were there.
In where I live, most arcade mixes from 1st to extreme are almost few to none when supernova came out

We have this cab here but it's still not in great condition. The left arrow on the right dance pad is broken.
There's one near me at a family fun center named "Magic Mountain", but it's always broken, giving some sort of "GD-ROM ERROR" every time I go there. Heck, even SuperNova is getting hard to find, last saw one of those in 2019 at Kings Island.

This is the arcade port of DDR Extreme. He likely has the original arcade board. It was ported to the PS2, but some of these songs are not on there.

there was this song with a girl singing and the picture was an anime lady with pink hair it was a fast paced song and I’m pretty sure it had reference to butterflies but it wasn’t the iconic butterfly song that we all know in love it was from a crappy DDR machine at an arcade i went to when I was like 8 and every 3 years on and off I’ll think about this song but I can’t remember of how it goes or the name/title so I’m looking and watching every DDR title select music video that I could find just to see if I could find this song
