I'm glad she accepted her feelings and understood that Taiga and Ryuuji were the best for one another. Same with Ami. Girl bros like that are definitely needed more IRL.
Side Note: If you didn't notice, the way Ryuji and Taiga fell in love and then ran away from their families is exactly the way Yasuko got with Ryuji's father (albeit more wholesome). She was young and in love, the same way he is now, and ended up cutting off her relationship with her own parents because she was living in the moment. She doesn't want the same thing that she did to her parents to happen to herself. But more importantly, she doesn't want her son to make the same mistakes she did.
Yasuko also hid her son from his grandparents and made him think that she was the only family he had. She also kept pushing him to do something he didn't want to do, probably because (like he said) it was what she wished she had done.
@@whenthedustfallsaway I think Yasuko really feels like she failed and she doesn't want her son to fail like she did. That's why she rather he study and she works for life expenses..
That’s was a really fun reaction series. I love Toradora back in high school I was so happy to rewatch along with you guys. I hope you try other series like Fruits Basket or Your lie in April.
This is without a doubt my favorite anime of all fucking time. Ryuuji's mom is such an MVP, she is the greatest parent ever to live in anime (not that the bar is that high honestly)
I feel like this anime would have easily been in My top 5 anime ever but unfortunately I think this show had one of the worst endings ever. Last 3 episodes were just not it imo.
Toradora is truly wonderful, one of my favorites to this day. Probably tied with Oregairu (My teen romantic comedy snafu). Both were psychological roller coasters for me
18:22 the birds on the window represent Ryuuji and Ami, now they go their separate ways 20:10 these birds are Ryuuji and Taiga, now and always they will be together, like in the 1st episode
I personally prefer the ending of the LN. Instead of leaving for the whole last school year she convices her Mom and step-dad to move closer to the old school and she can return to finish her last year with ryuji.
I don't always watch this channel, but I know that it's a dope channel. I fucks with y'all. It makes me so happy to see did you can acknowledge this masterpiece of an anime. I'm super glad you enjoyed it
I first watched this show in 2010 back in high school and it’s been in my top 5 ever since. I didn’t realize they had the last episode end credit scene until like 4 years after I watched it. It made this even better for me as it made one of my favs fully complete.
This is the second reaction I've ever watched of Toradora (as well as the ninth time watching the show altogether) and I truly had a great viewing experience from start to finish! Loved the insight on all the story/character complexities throughout the show, the nonstop innuendos and most importantly: all the hilarious comments on Inko (the bird). It's funny, of all the times I've watched Toradora, never once did I think this deeply about Inko... but after watching this reaction, I'll never be able to forget from here on out lol. Hyped for future reactions and ready to once again drift into my post-Toradora depression.
Taiga realises that she needs to confront her family first before asking them about their marriage. I think that was the better move coz their still young and had to finish school first. (this anime is way back from 2008 but the animation and graphics is like today 2022 anyone notices it?) one of the best romcom anime for me. It has more realistic situation to it and it captures young adult love.
I honestly thought it was a recent and show and was surprised the air date was in the single digits. But the style does track. It is just on a different level ^^
I love how I’m not the only one who was thinking that the way they were all giving them stuff for when they run away was like they were going off for some Pokémon journey type shit 😂
Loved rewatching along side you guys, I died laughing each time Roshi brought up that damn bird lol. I really like the fact that your channel has so many diverse anime not only shounen. Now we just need them to watch fruits basket 2019
Glad you guys got around to this series and ended up liking it. Was a childhood favorite but definitely remember it getting pretty extra with the drama at times which could be offputting to some. And yep, Inko finally saying its name has basically been the goal for its character since the start. Inko was first shown when Taiga broke into Ryuji's in ep 1 and Ryuji tried to get Inko to say its name for her, but it instead gave a different "I-" word in japanese (Inpo/Impotent). And it then continued to only say random, yet sometimes fitting, I- words until the very end where it finally was able to say its name. Was one of the oddest gags to keep around..
Toradora was the first anime I watched when I was in highschool. And It make me love anime until now. Toradora will always be the best anime in my heart.
Thanks for reacting to toradora. my first romcom show that I really loved ever since my childhood. I first watched it way back 2009. And since then I'm attached to it, even now. This one have special place in my heart.

I know I'm a month late but, thank you. I finally remembered that this was the anime I was looking for back in my highschool days but never did found or got a chance to watch it since life was busy. I found it by accident and suddenly remembered so, thank you.
premise: I'm not English and I could do grammar horrors, so forgive me in case. I love everything of this show: the story, the characters, the music ("Lost my pieces" is fantastic, I cry every time I listen to it). The best thing of this show are the characters and their growth through the story. Each one of them makes chooses that are coherent with their personality (and it's not so easy to do so) and even the side characters are well-done. Each character has a problem and he/she runs away from it (Taiga -> her parents, Kitamura -> student council, Taiga & Ryuji -> their parents' opinions...). It's a natural reaction but at the end each one of them have to face their problems, weaknesses and difficulties and grow. Kitamura understood that he couldn't run forever because his lover leaves him, so he became the student council president; Ryuji and Taiga understood that they wouldn't resolve anything by running away, so they went back; Taiga at the end goes back from her parents because living alone was her way to run away from the problem. Even the side characters have these elements (the teacher -> her single life -> she decides to buy an apartment, Yasuko -> the pressure of the opinions -of their parents and Ryuji's- -> she, with a little help, faced her parents...). They didn't face that problem by themselves, they needed help. Taiga and Ryuji would probably never be able to get engaged without Ami, Kawashima and Kitamura's help, Kitamura wouldn't become the student council president without his class' help or the president's speech, Yasuko understood her mistake when she saw his son running away from her like what she did in the past and so on. This is without doubts the best romantic anime I've ever watched!
Tbh college is a commitment you can't really go back on 💀 Regardless of what Yasuko wanted for Ryuji, treating someone who's about to go off to college like a kid is a bad idea. He could have been nicer in saying it, but he didn't say anything that didn't need to be said. She definitely can't pay his college fees working the small jobs she is and he's basically an adult at that point. His mother was definitely forcing the future she wanted on him. Ryuji would need to have a major in mind going into college or else he's better off not going at all
Y'all should watch Oregairu, its the best romance anime to have ever been made, BY FAR and its a lot more than that, like it deals with very adult/mature concepts; yall just needa watch it yourselves
