They are very creative! But nothing is simple about their content. It is staged and rehearsed. It is highly preproduced with lots of strategy. The husband is a professional videographer. The lighting, angles, storylines etc are mostly planned. They invest time into this. It’s not spontaneous. And there’s nothing wrong with that! They have honed and perfected the acting in short-form content…and make it look easy and relatable. That’s skill! Just want to make sure people don’t feel pressured to create high-level content like this and think it’s easy, natural…or real.
This comment is so insightful. I’ve always admired how Kristy and Dez make their posts look so spontaneous. It’s genius. After a while, you can tell all of their content is strategically planned - almost like how soap reality shows (‘The Hills’ & ‘Laguna Beach’, etc.) did it in early 00’s. It seems real, but is ultimately designed for entertainment.
We’ve followed Kristy since the quarantine days and it was truly an immediate follow at first sight. She and her husband are hilarious!
Kristy and Desmond are great friends, and JWs like myself. They are just great people all around.
Yea, I thought they were JWs! You can just tell by their content it’s so fresh and they do not have any raunchy videos, it’s all family friendly! I love them sm!

I was just talking to somebody about know what to post on each social media platform because they may not be the same. This was definitely helpful and I forgot how I found Kristy, but once I did it was awesome. I learned that content is two components aspirational and relatable so I will be focusing on that more. The reason Kristy’s content became popular is because of her husband Desmond’s reactions. Alot of people including myself would leave positive comments about how funny he is, so she listened to her audience and kept posting things that would lead to Desmond either laughing or saying something funny.

I did lifestyle , skincare, cooking
I realize that people love my skincare video and i decided to focus on it and give out more and more content
Gaming Foodie is another interesting one that started on IG first then quickly started to blow up on UA-cam shorts.
I’m already an over thinker and now it’s times 10 trying to become a content creator!

Generally speaking, I do think attractiveness helps. I’ll never be oblivious to that. But I would never solely attribute someone’s success to that! There are lots of “young and beautiful” people who wont see this type of success because looks will only get you so far. Thanks for your comment xx
