I'm looking for a stone house in central Portugal, a place i can renovate and have a little vacation house for my self.
In the first few days, Francine will accompany me, she is a good friend and also have a lot of knowledge and experience of renovating houses.

WOW! had no idea you could purchase a house that cheap in one the best places in Europe
When i discovered the prices there i was like 😮🤠
So meney abandoned places with great potential
Come and buy houses in central Portugal
Be careful and make sure you get a habitation permit. This is because many buildings are not houses but were used for livestock and people are selling these buildings as old houses when they never were.

@@MyPortugalDream no problem, I'm in California and heading for Porto in November with my two daughters looking to move there, we'll be there 3 weeks or so. None of us have ever been there so we will be on a fact-finding mission, so to speak and will arrive about November 10 and looking for property north of Lisbon. I'm retired on a pension and the girls are educated professionals making good money here so I don't really see a big problem. If the vibe is right I will probably be the first one there. I did something similar when I was a young man before my daughters came along and it was literally one of the most intelligent decisions of my life, I only need to make sure it will be a smooth transition for the kids. We already have people here at home telling us about all the reasons why it won't work LOL Here's to Hope!👍

Problem is most of this shown in the video arent even legal houses.
They lack permit, and even some terrains migth not be alowed to build.
These kind of houses as already said were built as a place to keep the animals in the past, and werent legal but back in the days there werent auditors visiting them.
10k for some ruins in hope of rebuilding it even in Portugal its just a dream, you would spent 10x to 20x that amount or even more to build a proper living house with all the permits, if its possible to build a house in that terrain, before buying you must check with the city hall if that even allows it, some terrains are cheap because of that.
Search a Portuguese who can help you find a terrain or a house in ok conditions if thats what you search in wich they have licence to build or just find a good property of land an do a house from scratch its always a better deal.

I do know that some of the places are only have a storage permit and i also saying that in the video about the first three property.
But i did find places with habitation license, and even though, just like you said, its a MUST to check all the papers in the official places.

What about building a house? What are the implications in the financial, procedural, and duration aspects?
Hi Amir, I will explain it later on when I will actually start to build the house.
As for now, the duration is depends in your budget, I'm my case I wanna do it by myself, so it will take much longer than usual

Yes but a deposit of 6k and proving that you have at list 15k for renovation... No Airbnb and many more things you must apply.
Also not in all Italy, it's only in specific places.
Definitely can work if this is where you want to live.
Its 1€ but you´ll have to spend 5k to reserve it for you,plus 6k for licenses,and you must spend at least 12k to renovate it!So its far away of they cost just 1€

They never get it right ha ha 😂🤣They say I have a Russian accent , a Polish accent , an Eastern European accent …… I always tell them I’m Portuguese because I’m very proud of being Portuguese. But you have the right not to say where you come from . My husband who is English always gets accents right but I’m useless trying to guess where a person is from . I don’t care where anyone is from. If you buy that kind a house,you will go bankrupt soon. As far as it is in deep suberbian lands and it needs huge reconstruction,it will take huge time and expenses to do that and still it won’t be attractive for anybody because of the place,so the liquidity will keep on a low level, to my personal opinion.

This is way I choose my place in the mountains, so if I will want to rent it later as rbnb people will find it nice to be isolated with a nice view.
