I recently did a Nationalist Spain playthrough with nothing but cavalry and i must say it actually went very great. Having fast units on the whole front meant that the whole enemy front was vulnerable to breakthroughs. Wherever I broke the enemy defences immediately my cavalry would rapidly funnel in through the gaps and take territory, while the enemy would have a hard time patching up the holes in its frontlines. Basically blitzkrieg with horses. Didn't even need to build a airforce.

Afghanistan is a pain to invade due to all the mountains and bad supply. And you do need some kind of artillery to boost the soft attack. Just like you add art to infantry likewise you need to add art to cavalry
@@PadaV4 Late game USSR Is really painful even trying to take ANY country in the first place, either france or the UK guarantees them and I have to end up using commands to remove their guarantee because its so annoying having to deal with the AI.

I’ve been trying to get the achievement with napoleon, and I’ve lost to Germany every time, like 20+ times. Alex goes ahead and beats them with ww1 equipment

Control Gibraltar, The Suez, and the Bosporus Strait by 1942
Rules:
Must play as a Minor nation, and Turkey does count but if you do play as Turkey, you cannot ever lose the Strait. If you do, your run ends.
To prevent silly paradrops and quick naval invasion wins, you must hold them all at the same time for at least a month in-game.
Ofc if you do see this, you can mess with these rules and add some as you see fit. I’m not a CC, so I have way less insight into how this challenge may be exciting to an audience.

This is not that hard with turkey going ottomans or just with germany
Your biggest issue to solve will be capitulating uk so u can take those in peace deal or somehow make spain join axis so u can invade through them and then ask for gibraltar
(If u do the achievement as otomans take paris rome london and tokyo then there is guide from bittersteel that guide guarantees succes in this challenge as well)
Also spain or portugal are good choices for this

All cavalry is actually quite strong, I used it to get many achievements such as taking out USA as Canada, it's easier with 60 fast units than 12 good but slow ones
Portable radio for soldiers was implemented in 1941 though, so no signal company for you.
Pretty sure he is using the equipment of capitulated countries. He forgot to only allow the ww1 equipment in the equipment button for the divisions.

I think perhaps they didn't have portable, two-way radios in WWI, but they did have radio technology and large transmitters in WWI. I think they probably relied more on telegraph and telephones than radios even if they did have the ability to deploy battlefield radios.
There was actually some paratroop action in WW1. Very little in the end of the war

WW1 Equipment Alex is the best Alex.
Also, they did have bombers. They even had zeppelin (airship) bombers. But they didn't have bombers at the start. I'm not sure they even had fighters at the start. At first, at least many/most pilots had to try to shoot at each other with handguns, and had to drop grenades and other small regular or improvised ordnance by hand to try to bomb people.

I wanted to suggest strategy, because I remember the vid of the USSR disaster save, only tank army.
But to make it more difficult, only tanks, no mobile infantry in the template or such, just tanks, and some support companies
I am curious at how bad or good it could go
i mean sssr could win with virtually any dumb strat, 2 w inf even probably, they are just that op
You could do this challenge with the The Great war mod and start at the 1936 scenario for more pain

So they didn't have radios but I believe the theory behind radios had been made but not yet proven. They used telegram wires sparingly because of the tendency for shells to sever the wires, or people would sneak back and cut the wires (although that happened sparingly) they most used messages by horse, and when it was necessary by foot.

They didnt have radio, just field telephones with long lines
Cavalry isn’t bad but they have not so much organization like infantry. They are faster but lesser organized. Bikers are king everything is like infantry but they have 6.4 speed. Camels are pros fast like bikers and have more Defence and organization. I use bikers but I will use camels.

The US did bomb Prague, though ostensibly by accident. Forty of the 500+ B-17s dropped their loads on Prague during the Dresden firebombing in Feb of '45.

Im new but a strategy is fo do the 4 years pland and justify on poland and Belgium as early as possible before the build up and in 1938 invade France and bomb the British fleet hope this helps just ask for more info
