I actually did this walk in the morning on a weekday (~8am) when a lot of businesses here were probably closed, so I'm guessing on the weekends or at nights this area would probably be busier. But yes, it was very different from those other cities where there would've been a lot of people commuting to work in the morning.
I believe I did this walk at ~8am on a weekday, so a lot of the businesses were probably closed. The week I was there also had some really rough air quality because of nearby wildfires, so that may be another reason why folks were staying home. I was only in town for one day since I was on a road trip, and did this quick walking tour while I was getting breakfast downtown. I feel like on the weekends, the downtown area should be a lot busier than it was when I did this walk.
So many of American cities except for the places like NYC or Chicago, Boston-- are soo empty!
