  • Seth Denton’s family business is up in the air. A second-generation pesticide application pilot, he has spent his life with one eye on the windsock, waiting for the right moment to take off. In an industry buffeted by politics and plagued by popular condemnation, the role of the spray pilot is a demanding and often misunderstood job. Denton’s aerial perspective gives him a unique outlook on what it takes to, in his own words, “feed the world.”

That Ag-Cat, (N8974H) is spraying in California now. This is my Son’s first year cropdusting and that is his plane now. So awesome to see this video and a little of the planes history . ❤

Great video! My uncle use to run an Ariel application business in Osceola Arkansas in the 70-80s and had radial engine ag-cats. I worked a few summers for him and this brings back a lot of memories. In the pre-GPS days, he would put me in a field with flags.....getting pelted with corn or soybean seed ;)

Thank you for your video. I am looking into becoming an aerial applicator. You are the first to talk about the divorce rate 😬 which is something important to know or be aware about. I have never heard that before till now. I am getting married this October 2020. Thank you for being honest and sharing.
