  • Just me showing some random Perfect Dark footage of certain things you might not have known about.
Some are common knowledge, others not so much.
Keep in mind these are the ones I can think of at the top of my head.
Feel free to comment some interesting tidbits you found yourself.
Might make a part 2 if I find enough things to showcase.
Intro City: This is the city we get to see in the intro cutscene, there is almost no collision/ground to stand on except for that red metal railing. I see the level designers got a little bit cheeky when they plastered "Anal land" on one of the walls.
You can actually see it for a brief second during the cutscene.
Cutscene Guards: By getting into the foyer elevator fast enough, a special Shock trooper guard appears with a keycard to Cassandra's office.
This keycard also opens up most doors in the level, which is how I accessed the stored guards. Rare tends to do this to save up on
having to load in the guards. The key also opens up the lobby door, but you can't explore much of outside without falling to your demise.
Villa Windmill: Again the people at Rare used a shortcut, in order to animate the windmill, they actually implemented it as a turret.
Normally nobody would notice unless you're using the K7 Avenger's secondary mode thanks to the All guns cheat. Getting close up to it gets it to shoot ya. I thought this was pretty funny when I first found out.
Hidden Voicelines in Area 51: Just above the building lies 2 triggers for 2 different voicelines, which would make them inaccessible
during normal gameplay, I only managed to show off one due to Objective 1 not cooperating with me. After placing the explosives and
you head back up there it should trigger yet another unheard voiceline.
Hidden Cutscene Jonathan: Again Rare stores Jonathan and the guard he shoots way off screen. They are both unkillable.
Jonathan Ends Elvis' miserable life: By completing objective 2 before contacting Jonathan and then going to the room where you're supposed to leave Elvis causes Jonathan to become hostile towards Elvis, no idea why this happens.
Hidden Elvis: In the other operation room which is normally completely sealed off for player access you can find another copy of Elvis.
Rare stewardess and unused smoking animation?: This is a strange one, never once while playing back on the N64 back in the
day did I encounter this extra stewardess. Only seems to appear when I have some GS codes active. As for the smoking animation, I've never
seen it before but I might be wrong.
