Went to this show. I really wasn't a big Stones fan, and right before they went on, I had my first migraine, lucky me.
That said, I left with a much larger appreciation for the band, Bitch became my favorite song. ✌️

I was at this show, or maybe one the day before or after. I was a college student in Kansas at the time and could only afford the cheapest tickets up on the top row in the SE corner of the old Soldier Field. They turned out to be the best seats in the house. It was a beautiful night and the sprawling, illuminated Chicago skyline created a breathtaking backdrop. It was as if the spirit of Chicago accepted the band.
What I meant to say Keith is still the best man and it's still the coolest still the greatest
Can you think of any band that has been rockin and rollin as long as The Rolling Stones? Never got to see them live but been rockin to them since the 60's. STONES ROCK.

Keith Richards in 1997 was the coolest rock star on earth (not that he wasnt before!!) but this tour he just lit it up. And the band was just as tight as ever. As far as tours go this could be the best the ever sounded. Got to see them in Columbus and it was just incredible. Had 2 friends with me and they thought there was no way they could beat U2 that year. All it took was one song.....Hope we get to see the best in the business one more time!!!

Thanks for this, saw a couple of shows on this tour. Been going to Stones shows for over 20 years by now, but my soon to be wife had never seen them. The day I met her I was called in by her for an emergency dinner at Skywalker Ranch ( I was head chef at a catering co. she in charge of guests needs) when I got there she asked " what would you be doing tonight if you weren't here?" I told her I had stones tickets. She said " if I could see the stones I would be at the show." I asked have you ever seen the stones? She replied no, so I said to myself I have to take this woman to the stones. And the next time they toured I called up Mr. Ticket and burned a grand on tickets up front so she could get Micks perspiration on her. Took her to other tours after this great show, but this was the best. As I have just lost her to heart failure, Thank you for this memory.

Thank you to the cool female usher that hooked me and my buddy up with amazing 50 yard seats just above the field for this concert! We had the furthest away shitiest seats originally. I slipped her a $20 and we had our own row! The cool thing is she didn’t even want the 20 bucks. Being 21, running around in our own row of about 12 seats was epic! Why the row had no one in it I’ll never know but she walked us all the way over there and said here you go. Cheers to you!

I caught both FL shows (Miami/Orange Bowl and Orlando/Citrus Bowl) on that tour ('97) Bridges to Babylon; were my first 2 Stones shows ever ( I'm up to 5 now).

Usually opening night is a little nervous and tentative....I saw them later in the tour and there were several more new songs. Also really dug the 1999 No Security tour....

The first night was a classic, crappy autumn Chicago night--cold, windy, rainy.
The second night two days later, Sept 25 was a beautiful, warm night and the show (including first ever 'She's A Rainbow'!) was a hundred times better.

This Chicago show was the first show of their 97 tour. It was on a Tuesday. I was at their next show on Saturday September 27 in Columbus, OH. They played at OSU stadium (the Shoe) and rocked the house! They returned to Columbus in 2015 and played at the Shoe. I was at that show too.
Cool. Without a doubt my favorite show was a few years later in Memphis at the Pyramid. GREAT arena show!!!!

PLEASE don't kill me my fellow "stoners" but after the 2019 shows does anyone feel it might be time to bow out gracefully? I caught 3 myself on the latest tour and I've been to multiple RS concerts in my lifetime but like I said guys don't kill me just throwing it out there to perhaps to get a little feedback!! I know it's all about the $$$ but I would KILL for a tour that did NOTHING but theater gigs. "Arm and a leg" for a ticket but God I think it would be worth it!!
I enjoy them more now than I did when they started. I am same age as Keith. They were too wild for me. I would love to see a concert now and I would never had paid to see Mick totally drugged out in the 60s.
