Brother Tourvashu, I am an Indian Zoroastrian from Gujarat. Thank you so much for showing us our ancestral place & explaining all stuff, all info so correctly 😊🙏🏻. Lots of love & Respect to you from me & on behalf of our community. Wish you a very great & amazing life ahead. There is one more interesting thing I would like to tell you is, the city I live in is "Navsari" city in Gujarat. According to the Parsi tradition, in 1142 A.D., when Parsis first came to Navsari, the city was named Nag Mandal. The Parsis found the city's atmosphere similar to that of the Sari (Mazandaran Province) region of Iran. In the Persian language, "now" means new, and "Sari" refers to the region in Iran, hence the name Naoo Sari (Navsari). Two families of Parsi Zoroastrian priests settled in Navsari in the early 13th century, and the town soon emerged as the major center of the Parsi priesthood and religious authority. It is the home of the Bhagarsath Atash Behram (Atash Behram = Fire Temple) established in 1765, which is now a World Heritage Site. Notable Parsi (Zoroastrian) people Born in Navsari are : Dadabhai Naoroji, known as the "Grand Old Man of India. Homai Vyarawalla, first woman photojournalist of India. Jamsetji Tata, founder of what would later become the Tata Group of companies, regarded as the "father of Indian industry". Kurush Deboo, Indian film actor, famous for Munnabhai M.B.B.S. as Dr. Rustom Pavri, was born in Navsari. Navsari is also famous for Dandi beach where Mahatma Gandhi ji did Dandi March for salt Satyagraha.
I am a Hindu Indian and i feel Parsi Indians are a great asset to India . I personally feel they should flourish and grow in India and increase there population .
@Rol Va you would be surprised to know that Vedic religion has existed since last more than 10000 years and was a way life for almost half of the world even before christanity and Islam came
Eastern Iran was practically part of Vedic civilization and at the time Afghanistan was completely Vedic. They say Zoroaster was born in Afghanistan and traveled to Persia and spread his teachings. Zoroaster was most likely a Brahmin or a Rishi/sage from Afghanistan during the late Vedic era. Even the Avesta has the word Dahman which comes from the word Dharma. Hence why Sanskrit and Avesta are sister languages and Avesta is another dialect of Sanskrit.
Religions in Iran is divided into three phases- 1) Pre Zorastrian, 2) Zoroastian and 3) Islamic. Pre Zoroastrian was very similar to Hinduism of Vedic period. Mitra, Varuna, Agni etc. used to be widely worshiped in Pre Zoroastrian time. Parsis of India generally hesitate in accepting this. However western and Iranian scholars widely speak this Vedic similarities of Pre Zoroastrian era. One interesting thing I learned from an Iranian lady that some sculptures show Hindu warriors used to be part of Cyrus the great's army.
Cyrus' real non westernized name is 'Kurush' 'Cyrus' name was given by Greeks to ancient Persian king Kurush of HakshaManish Dynasty (Greek name : Achaemenis Dynasty)
Not only Cyrus, Darius and xerses also has Indians in their army, in fact battle of thermopyle which is depicted in movie 300, in Persian army there are many indians and Indian generals fought. It's recorded by both Persian and Greek historians.

Your Videos of Iran has changed my perception about it. This is very beautiful country with very very friendly local people. Culturally very rich country. 👍👍
@@proudindian4312 Iranians are intelligent people. There is a reason why they accepted Islam. Salman Al Farisi the son of the Zoroastrian head priest was the first Zoroastrian who accepted Islam. When he heard of a Prophet in Mecca he travelled all the way from Persia to meet him. He studied him and later became his staunch follower. The Prophet Muhamed said "Whoever believes in God and the Hereafter, he should honour his guest. Whoever believes in God and the Hereafter, he should talk well or remain silent.” (Narrated by Bukhari) This is the reason why the Iranians are honouring the Indian tourist.
Worth-watching, informative and knowledge sharing video. All love and respect for your host and his family, who are symbol of sympathy and generosity of Iranian hospitality.
This brilliant video is a must watch to all in the Parsee community not only in India but from all over the world. Initially, the Parsees were into farming. When the British East India Company took over Bombay (now Mumbai) they began to be involved in the business especially related to trading, imports & exports of various goods since the 17th century. No wonder this graceful community are now a business leader in India.🙏
Parsees are only those Zrorastrians who migrated to India before 14th century from Iran. Those Zrorastrians from Iran who migrated from 17th century onwards are not Parsees. They call themselves Iranis. Aruna Irani, Bomman Irani, Sayana are Iranis and are Zrorastrians. Parsee panchayat does everything in their power to destroy the community, by imposing all possible restrictions. It is high time they loosened up a bit without diluting their identity much. May be it is too late now.
Probably people of Iran offer the best hospitality in the world. The richness in their art, culture & architecture explains a lot about their thousands of years old rich persian history. Respect to Iranian people!!
PERSIS HAD A RICH CULTURAL HERITAGE..STILL THEY LIVE IN KOLKATA VERY VERY PEACEFULLY..& THEY R LOVING PEOPLE WITH HUMANITY ... WE LOVE THEM FROM THE CORE OF OUR HEART.. thanks a lot for sharing this video..
Fantastic cover of original Zoroastrian place of worship in Iran. That was very scientific and pure religion. In India they migrated and today those Parsees are everywhere. Tata,Godrej,Palkhiwala,Feield Marshall Manekshaw and many Iranians have contributed lots even with Gandhiji during freedom struggle. Thank you for showing us first hand Darshan of Chum Chum cave from where this religion began and first Dokuma to dispose dead body. In Mumbai and,Pune they are slowly known as Bawajis.. Great work. Thanks show us if you can first Place of Fire Atash Behram in chumchum caves. That will be great for all my Parsee and Irani friends. Regards.

And we,Parsees thk our dear Indian brothers for accepting us so wholeheartedly by giving us refuge n allowing us to flourish here.We will Never forget! Jai Bharat!❣️
Parsee or zoroastrian religion is a symbol of one of the greatest religion of its time which slowly got annihilated but there is something in them that they are responsible for major changes and positive upliftment wherever they have been -India as a nation owes to these fantastic people who inhabited it and made it rich with their efforts acumen in every field

Parsis were actually Hindus who migrated or were part of vedic civilization and belong to parshwa clan as mentioned in the rigveda . Their avesta has many sanskrit shlolas and many in distorted form of the vedas. Zoroaster was a preacher whose teaching were more into practice but they were the first to get converted to Islam
Well yes but they were not Hindus but influenced by Vedic Dharma. Not only them folk religions of China, Japan, Vietnam, Korea and so on also Pagan religions of Arabia, Hellenism of ancient Greece, Norse religion and many more. Hinduism was the major religion in All sauth asian and sauth east asian countries. Buddhism is also highly influenced by Hinduism.

@@jeroounwalla79you welcome brother❤❤❤❤..are u from iran???
Your Videos of Iran has changed my perception about it. This is very beautiful country with very very friendly local people. Culturally very rich country. 👍👍
Absolutely
Only until you are a tourist. Start living there. It's hell for non muslims.
It is because apostasy rate is very high in Iran compare to other Islamic countries.
Whoever believes in God and the Hereafter, he should talk well or remain silent.” (Narrated by Bukhari)
This is the reason why the Iranians are honouring the Indian tourist.
Worth-watching, informative and knowledge sharing video. All love and respect for your host and his family, who are symbol of sympathy and generosity of Iranian hospitality.
There's a zorastrian temple in Kozhikode, Kerala, India. It's now abandoned. Parsis and the Govt should take steps to protect it.
🤝❤🙏🏾
PERSIS HAD A RICH CULTURAL HERITAGE..STILL THEY LIVE IN KOLKATA VERY VERY PEACEFULLY..& THEY R LOVING PEOPLE WITH HUMANITY ... WE LOVE THEM FROM THE CORE OF OUR HEART..
thanks a lot for sharing this video..
🙏🙏🙏We Hindu from India hope that Iran people will again become zorastian 🤗🤗and live with happyness 👍👍🤗
Why do u hope so???
Regards.
Our Ratan Tata is also belongs to a Persian(Zoroastrian) family. ❤❤❤❤😊😊😊🥰
This is one of the best video on history of Parsi or Zoroastrian community . Thanks & keep it up
Thank you
Persia's precious community became World's precious community feel sad for them. Wish they could reclaimed their lost legacies. Persia was ruling the world when Zoroastrians were in majority.

The way you discribe the whole history of Persia and it's religion is awesome 👍👍💐💐
Thank you
Good video. Also do visit the Zorastrian Fire Temple in the heart of Yazd City
Ok sure
@@NomadicTour :
You should also visit Persepolis at Fars Province.
You can also visit Zoroastrian Museum at Kerman province.
There is also a fire temple in Tehran.
You can also have a look at Tehran's oldest school built by a Zoroastrian named "Bahramji Bhikaji" in 1932. School name is "Firooz Bahram High School" & it's still in operation.

We are fortunate to know n see this ancient and historical place tru you, May God bless you. There is just one Dhamka left in Mumbai. My special blessings to Mohammad n his family for their kindness to bring you to this holy shrine n show you. Zoroastrians were very strong, disciplined, well armed n ruled a v large area. Their population is decreasing like the Yazidis of Iraq. The way to live life , attitude n beliefs Zoroastrians have taught to mankind is a lesson. My special thanks to your hosts. May Almighty bless them. It wouldn't have been possible or difficult for you to come to this place. The desert landscape is beautiful in its way. The mountains, dripping of water, death well is a marvel on it's own. Thank you v much....💐✌️

You are parsi right?
It is very sad that a great religion is declining. Barbarism of islam has destroyed many great civilisation and beliefs. It is high time we should resist the barbarism of a cult which is curse on mankind
The Parsi community, Yazidis, and Kurdish community are all threatened in this part of West Asia by Islamic forces. They need special protection from UN, and various governments in this regions.

Hat's off to you, for your nice coverage of so many difficult places which we would not have been able to know. We understand you have taken lots of pain while going to desserts , difficult terrain and your depiction also gives us a clear picture of that land, which I love to see more. Thanks.
There was a country named Persia.
Zorastrains or Parsis lived in majority in their own country.
Around 1200 years ago they allowed 4000 to live there.
Today parsis are kicked out from their own country and there is an Islamic nation named "Iran" .
I am so much proud of India now after listening that Zoroastrian were saved and preserved by Indians. Only place in world where we believe in preservation rather then eliminations.
Absolutely incredible place this is! So much history! I'm beyond amazed knowing about Iran, it's people, culture, history. An absolute gem! And, Tourvashu, your outstanding historical information! @@jyotsna8805 😀 Ya, the thought was good, but practically difficult to implement. Although I also like to travel the way Tourvashu does, but such travels can only be experienced alone. When you travel with someone, things would obviously be a little different. Not impossible though, but very difficult.

Zorastrian are totally different from Hindu religion
😂😂
Well yes but they were not Hindus but influenced by Vedic Dharma. Not only them folk religions of China, Japan, Vietnam, Korea and so on also Pagan religions of Arabia, Hellenism of ancient Greece, Norse religion and many more. Hinduism was the major religion in All sauth asian and sauth east asian countries. Buddhism is also highly influenced by Hinduism.
