Beautiful video. How brave each of you are…I am awed to meet you & I celebrate your joy with you.
What a beautiful and inspiring video! Thank you, Debi and all you beautiful ladies! I hope to someday attend a workshop! 💖💖💖
Thank you for this video and for everyone who was in it and especially Michelle for your courage. 😊 This was such an uplifting video and I can relate to the stories in one way or another. ❤
I lost my career in education this year. At 50 I'm thinking "well what now? " Im not passionate enough to retrain for anything else. Education was my passion since I was 5 years old. I have just recently found glass art. So I now source vintage glass pieces and reimage the into another useful purpose. My latest creative process has me designing and creating pet bowls for fancy pets. I use cut crystal glass, coloured glass bowls, trays etc to form these gorgeous pieces that fit into your decor. I also make bird baths, bird feeders, trinket dishes, candle sticks etc. A new passion is a wonderful thing.
A passion for something is everything 💗💗
Thsts cool 😎
How about tutoring on the side.
Tutoring and storytelling are still possibilities.
Glad you found a new passion
I keep watching this (4th time) and tear up every time. I also notice something or hear something different each time. It is still a beautiful story told in such a lovely way.
I love Ellie and her magic personality. Y'all are so much alike. I look forward to each of your videos, but still go back and watch to learn.
Thank you both 🎉
thank you so much for watching. :)
I love to see women supporting women, absolutely beautiful and such a strong community and connection. The creative component is so important, the resilience and adaptability of women never ceases to amaze me.
We women go through so much in our lives, but when we come together for each other we can create miracles and help each other heal and grow and eventually thrive. So happy that Michelle shared her story and that you shared her story. A great way to end the year. Many blessings for a joyful and inspiring 2025!
Omg Michelle’s Painted furniture is absolutely beautiful 😊
thank you so very much
Oh how God works these women are so strong !!!! Debi what wonderful thing you have done ❤❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
Still crying. Crafting has always been so vital in my life. Currently being homeless, I can't really craft right now but hoping for a miracle to get back on my feet. I love your videos Debbie! You and your team are awesome! 💞
So sorry you’re in that predicament😞May the lord help you. I pray things change for you soon🤗
This was so uplifting. There is a nightstand next to the dumpster where i live. I have wanted to go get it and make it beautiful but have been reluctant for many reasons. I hope it is still there in the morning!
If not there will be another. And what's the worst that could happen? You might hate it and start over. Whatever happens you will learn from it.
I’m not crying, you’re crying 😭 ❤! Debi, Elle and Michelle!! You did it! I’m honored to know you all and incredibly grateful for all of the time we get to spend together.💓💓 Thank you!! I love you and cannot wait to see you again in Edgerton, WI next June!!
What a wonderful workshop it was Dionne . Thank you for all you do for DIY Paint and thank you for making this video so special.❤❤❤
@ Love you🤗
Debi, one of your best videos! I’m a binge watcher of all of your videos, I wait impatiently for your next one! This was an amazing share, thank you ❤ you and your community really are uplifting
Debi you’re the best storyteller! I have been watching you since your first UA-cam video. I use DIY paint and hope to someday come to a workshop. Thank You so much for your inspiration and just being you 💕
And you all have me crying now!! 😢😢 I just sent Debbie my story in an email., this video couldn't of came out at a more perfect time. 😊 the products and DIY videos help create much more than beautiful artwork. It creates a reason to smile again😊
I want to personally thank Michelle for sharing part of her story. The thing that holds me back the most from attending one of your workshops is the grief that has surrounded me. I don’t want to come to a joyous event and cry. I also don’t want to come and pretend that I’m not hurting. I have lost my parents and siblings, my sister and I were the last of the family, she passed away after a long horrible battle (just before Christmas last year). She was my best friend, my best cheerleader for my artwork & my life. When she passed it felt like losing my whole family all at once, I guess because as long as I had her I had a part of them. I am blessed to have my husband and 3 grown kids and grandchildren….. but the ache for my lost family doesn’t go away.
My artwork is so tied to who I am, next to God, artwork is the absolute best therapy. I appreciate how REAL this video was. And really how real you & Dionne always seem to be.
Maybe I shouldn’t share all of this here- but I bet I’m not the only one… Michelle has proven that!
Thank you Michelle for sharing your heart! ❤
Hanna, you are not alone❤ every time I travel to a workshop the thing I bring back with me are the stories from the women who have overcomes so many hard things and how important it is to have a community. I hope you consider coming. I would love to meet you and I am praying for you. I’m praying that God will hold you in the palm of his hand and comfort you in a way that only he can. ❤❤❤
@ Thank You Debi! That means more than you could ever know! I don’t know what I’d do without Jesus! He is with me in so many ways that I can see each day! His mercies are new every morning… and we need them!!!
I really do want to attend a workshop in the future. 🥰
@@hannahcrumley3103 indeed Jesus is everything❤ when I lost my mom. She told me that God said he was gonna take care of me. After she died I was amazed at how right she was. When she said that I was thinking that I would somehow become a stronger person to deal with the loss. I did not become a stronger person. God just became bigger.❤
@ that’s an excellent way to describe it… God got bigger!!! 💕
I discovered you in the 2020 lockdown. My hubby of 42 years would always tell me, "Your friend Debi is on!" He would watch you with me. He died suddenly 3 years later, leaving our ministry w/o a pastor/leader. Though I was his partner in the ministry, I had not done any of the running of it. Suddenly my feet had to hit the ground running in 'shoes' I had never worn; running a ministry. The creative side of my life, went into a closet as I had no time to do such things again. Fast forward to 2024, I needed a typewriter desk, ( I hate computers and 'word', so decided to get my typewriter out to type out my Sunday AM teachings. I went to thrift store, found a typewriter desk, in Ugly Store, came home, got my DIY paints out & painted the old brown ugly finish away. My hubby's grandfather name is Poppy. I love Poppies & therefore painted Poppies on the desk & birds, his other fav. I still hv little time for painting, but did again get my DIY & bought the new Painertly, to paint a big painting for my bedroom. I had not painted in almost 4 years, other than the typewriter desk, & hated what my painting was looking like. But through watching you & many others in DIY family, I persevered and it's now 1 of my favorites. Creation truly is therapeutic for shattered hearts. TY again Debi ❤
Oh my goodness! 💗😭💞 I’m crying over here! Love you gals! 💞💗💖
You are precious. Thank you for watching

Wonderfully meaningful! Bravely sharing and helping others to come to purpose in their lives! The video was well done and delightfully colorful! Blessed days!
Debi is a master of her craft. She had very little to work with as far as the interview goes. I cried most of it. She is a great editor. I love my Debi!! Thank you for watching Alice.
I really love your videos, you have such a ❤genuine heart in all that I see you do. What a beautiful thing to highlight these incredible women from the workshop! I live pretty close to your shop in SD county and want to come and see it and purchase some products. I have been out of crafting/art for quite awhile and that part of my soul is pushing its way to the front again💖
Thank you for watching
Thank you Debi for giving voice to all these talented women, you are a light worker through your art and you spread creativity to all those who watch your videos. Women lifting one another up is such a very good thing! Many blessings to you and your family in the coming New Year!!
What a great video. I was a foster mom for 18 years. Loved teaching
My kids painting. Started with watercolors....eventually to acrylic,
Oils. Most grown now and come back and they go through my decoupage papers, mounds, ect.
Thank you for watching.. Your foster children were lucky they had you. Thank you for being a foster mom
This story is so very special. I personally left the event encouraged and gained new friends with more stories to come. So many live but are not living-so beautiful that our purpose is people-not things! This video showcases real women helping other women! Powerful!
I love you, Debra, it was such a pleasure to meet you and I’m so happy to have you on the DIY paint team. Thank you so much for contributing to this video. ❤ and thank you for attending the workshop.
Are you the lady from Branson? Do you have a shop? I am about 35 mins south of Branson
@ I live in Branson have a booth in Springfield Ozark Treasures! I was in Harrison today at a couple of flea markets. Perhaps we will be able to meet for coffee!

Inspiring. Art heals. 🙏🏼😘🎨👨🎨🖌️🖼️
Went to Mexico some years back to get away from some stalking/bullying stuff…painted a lot & walked by the sea. Painted on driftwood. It was such an empowering & healing time.
Debi, Ellie,Michelle and to all others who attended the workshop- what a special event. Sometimes things are meant to be. I totally enjoyed this story and video. We can so relate to all the stories in more than one way. So thank you. Personally I needed the inspiration. So ladies congrats to creativity and community. Love Terri
I’m taking care of my amazing 98 year old mother right now and creating, crafting, my booths, antiquing, estate sales and painting furniture is all on the back burner. But this is so inspiring.
Thank you for watching!

I loved this video Debi!! All of the stories touched my heart and you did an amazing job putting this video together!! Thank you so much for sharing!! ❤❤❤
thank you for watching
Thank you Michelle for sharing your story. I am able to draw strength from the stories. I am in the same place as many are, except it is with my daughter. June of 2023, Katie lost both feet, due to diabetes. She was 34 at the time. They have 2 young boys, so her husband would stay with them, so it wouldn't leave them without a parent, while Katie was in the hospital. I would stay with her at night, then go from there to my job. Since May of 2024, she has been in the hospital 13 times. I attended the workshop and met some incredible people. Some only live an hour from me, i live in Joplin Mo. Thank you everyone for being open and had introduced yourself to me. I am very excited to say sometime next year, I am going to quit my job and do my business full time.
Sandy sweet Sandy.. I had no idea .. You and your family have been through alot. Your sweet daughter. What a rough time for her. I am so happy you shared and so happy you are going to open your business soon. I cant wait
@@LifesasandybeachSandyOetzel that’s absolutely awesome! I will pray now for your family and your daughter’s health!🩷
There was once a television show, many moons ago, which had the theme that everyone has a story. The host, would throw a dart at a map, then go to that place, find a phone book (yes, that long ago) and put his finger on someones nme. He would call them and ask for them to tell their story. Every single person said the same thing, "I don't have a story". But each one of them did! That's how I feel about people. We all have stories, losses, loves, adventures and experiences. All of these stories are so important to share. Not only that, we all want to belong and without putting ourselves out there, we wont have anyone. It's frightening to introduce yourself, open up, ask someone we don't know to coffee, or take the first step. We all need to , and this is one way to do that. Thank you for sharing!
Oh that sounds like a wonderful show! Yes, indeed, everybody has a story to share
Reminds me of the TV show Dr Who. His famous quote "We’re all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?”
Wow beautiful DIY furniture, booth looks awesome, very inspiring story. Thank you for sharing. Have a blessed, favored life!
Thank you for watching.
❤What a gift to be surrounded by women who are encouraging and uplifting one another! Your friend was very brave sharing her testimony… I’m sure it will touch many lives and encourage others helping them to feel like there is hope. May God continue to bless you all!❤
Always make sure to use your child within. Wonderful things happen when you let that child take over. I’m 77 n still trying to learn n my child within helps me

This video made me cry. Thank you for this video Debi you Elle , Dionne and all the ladies are so strong and beautiful and resilient. This video is full of hope. I commend you Debi, may our Lord and Savior Shower you with Health and His Blessing this year. That is my prayer for you and your family and all the amazing ladies in this video.❤🙏
When the Lord places a gifting in your spirit then whether you are tired, going thru stressful things, running on empty you still overflow with joyful inspiration to share with others!!!!❤💜🧡This beauty cannot be faked. The Lord will always fill you up to overflowing so that people's lives are touched in mighty ways. Debi, you have touched and will continue to touch so many people's lives and you will build a solid core of like minded sisters that carry on that same gifting, like Ellie and Dionne. 😊❤❤❤

I’m bawling my eyes out. 💝
I lost my sister to suicide a decade ago. Seems like yesterday and also a lifetime ago, however that makes sense. We were both artists and shared that with one another. When she “left” me, my artistic motivation left with her. Although I still watch others create on YT and IG, I haven’t created in a decade. One day, maybe. TY for sharing these stories. Blessings to all❣️
Please create again ... the world needs your light . ✨️

This video is the beginning of a revival in the world of the creative community!!! It seems that things have been pretty status quo in the way of the redo , updo , trash to cash , yadah yadah vlogs…. This video has broken a new something’ somethin’…. God is brewing something!!!!
I’m super proud of you Debi.

What a sweet thing to do, paint a chair and dedicate it to someone who affected your life and the little not under, I think thats sweet! ❤ Congrats to all
thank you for watching.
God Bless you Debi and all the women that overcomes their fear to share their story. I can relate and struggle with messy life stuff myself. I used to live in Oklahoma but live in NC now. I hope to visit your shop when I go visit family in California soon. Thanks for sharing. ❤❤❤
Thank you for doing this show. I cried all the way through it. I too have been living through hell, and all I want to do is learn to paint furniture. I was in an abusive relationship for 42 years, I divorced, and became homeless to remove myself from the situation . Got my life together, and rekindled a beautiful relationship with my true love. I was engaged for 21 days, then he passed away leaving me all alone. I was just diagnosed with cancer, and I was a advocate for Social Change for a couple of decades, working with the marginalized (poor) in my county.
I just want to know how do I really learn this? I have watched you for years now! Your the best Deb. Thanks for doing this show it gave me hope that someday I can fulfill this dream on my bucket list. I live in Northern California, and can’t seem to find your products! Thanks for making the world a better place with paint❤❤❤❤❤❤
