I'm 75 now and have sewn a few items in my time. (That said, I'm sitting and knitting for a bit:). I have three boxes (no suitcases) from Ikea, full of old samples of material and patterns from days gone by. Because my granddaughter sews, she'll be acquiring them when I leave this world to higher dimensions. Thank you for bringing such joy in our current crazy world, Arne and Carlos. I chuckled all the way thru this.

OMG those laces are to die for! And the purple appliqued velvet is delicious! It looks like a silk velvet.What a wonderfully eclectic collection of stuff. This was so much fun to watch! I just went through all my fabrics/UFOs/Kits/patterns etc. It was a treasure trove and had totally forgotten about many things. Now it’s all organized! Enjoy your treasures and remembrances!

Oh my those laces and fabrics. You are lucky to have such beauties. I am trying to start an applique gnome quilt. Suddenly I had the idea of digging out my lace and trims to and to it. Especially for the lady gnomes on it. My scraps are not near as nice as yours but I do need to do some sorting of those boxes. I had such fun giggling as I watched this one. I need to get back to work on this springs crochet cushion. Thanks for sharing. I have one suitcase that are the fabrics and some precut blocks for a ufo quilt. I should get those out to see if enough are cut that could become a table runner,. I no longer want to do that whole quilt. Oh you have gotten my brain on a roll.
I had the best time seeing you find "treasures" in your suitcase. I am currently going through boxes that have been packed away since we moved to the current house. I too am finding treasures like the shoe brush.

It is always surprising what you may find in suitcases you have not used in years. In the second suitcase may have some of your knitted and crochet collections in years past. Your Dolly Parton angel was so funny. I thoroughly enjoy watching someone opening a treasure box that had not been opened in some time. You Guys are the greatest and your reactions to hidden items is priceless.

What a treasure trove of fun! I laughed the whole time. Maybe if you put some of those lavender scented drawer sachets into the suitcases it will help. Or real cedar blocks that have a strong bouquet of scent. Old items that close can have a smell that is difficult to remove. But how fun was that - the Dolly Parton Angel stole the show. haha. Been doing this for years… I figure when I pass on it’ll be easier for family to sort through or chuck as they see fit 😂😂😂….they are always labeled with a general list of contents ….and I don’t have to part with anything dear to me at least right now 😉 it all started when I moved and downsized and never needed to unpack certain things but really didn’t want to get rid of things…..The trick is finding more suitcases 😏 I said the same thing when I saw Kate opening hers…

Gosh I haven’t even watched the whole video yet but I have to say I found old knit samples I made the other day from Uni that I did nothing with too PLUS the exact same red knitting needle holder with red needles like you pulled out in the video. That I also have to match up with their pairs.

Been doing this for years… I figure when I pass on it’ll be easier for family to sort through or chuck as they see fit 😂😂😂….they are always labeled with a general list of contents ….and I don’t have to part with anything dear to me at least right now 😉 it all started when I moved and downsized and never needed to unpack certain things but really didn’t want to get rid of things…..The trick is finding more suitcases 😏 I said the same thing when I saw Kate opening hers…

Gosh I haven’t even watched the whole video yet but I have to say I found old knit samples I made the other day from Uni that I did nothing with too PLUS the exact same red knitting needle holder with red needles like you pulled out in the video. That I also have to match up with their pairs.
