Excellent job Phillips. I wonder why the sacrificial anode on the transom bracket looks so new and the bottom of the bracket too oxidized for the age of that engine. Unless that white stuff is paint.
Some have different ways of doing things and that is okay I have done it this way for 20 years and not had one issue with putting the impeller in dry. How ever I do use 2-4-c on all the bolts shafts and keys when assembling. Thanks for the input!

That grease gets ejected almost immediately anyway. Good water flow is the most important thing to not trashing an impeller.
dont run this motor on a hose you will damage exhaust hoses
