When I bought my scanncut a few years ago, the promised lessons never happened. I found your channel and have never looked back. You literally taught me everything I know. I love being able to go into canvasworkspace to design pretty much anything I need. Thank you for all the knowledge that you share.

Hi Ashley I think it's been closer to ten years that you have been my mentor on everything Scan n Cut. I mastered it well enough over the years but 3 years ago I had a brain haemorrhage so I had to go back relying on your vids in order to recapture my capabilities so Thankyou again for making a difference to my life

You are incredible at working the tools available on Canvas Workspace. My mind is swirling just taking in what you can create with a single shape. Thank you for taking your time to explain and educate us how to manipulate and create in this program. it's going to take me awhile, but I'm confident with your guidance I will be able to start creating some things on my own. We appreciate your skills and knowledge very much.

On Windows I think we have to hold down the Alt key to do the slight duplicate/rotate

just subscribed. You are an excellent instructor. You have showed me how to do all the stuff that I have been wanting to do with shapes, combining, subtracting and offsets. I really thought Canvas Workspace wasnt a good program until your lessons. Now I realize that it is a great program for a designer. You are providing me with the knowledge to be able to design my ideas, instead of using the same time to figure out how to do it. Thanks you!

Thank you! This machine and the tech is new to me and this helps a lot. Your instructions are easy to follow and I was able to duplicate the process. I have been able to use the ALT key on my windows laptop to duplicate as the option key does on my Mac. 8-)

@@applelover53 i use to all the time but i stopped when i got rid of my mac, I’m currently moving and plan on starting again with a new mac, I’m going to use Inkscape as its free and works on mac, illustrator is to expensive and Inkscape is like a mirror of it so ill take the file into canvas and turn them in to embroidery cut files and appliqué designs, there is loads on Inkscape on UA-cam about making your own patterns.
When i worked in clothing design we used very expensive software, but now most software can do repeat designs. Jason

I forgot to say I’m looking at the software you use as it is far more intuitive unlike PE Design by brother and again loads cheaper

Hi, i used to use inkscape all the time many years ago for making cut files, I think i still have a playlist on my channel, but it kept crashing my Mac and eventually it crashed and died, so when i bought my new Mac several years ago i decided not to install inkscape and not to use it at all.

@@applelover53 hi Ashley, ill try it out and see as its free but if all fails ill go down another vector rout. I’m going to do more stuff when I’m settled and I’m going to see Lorna Knight to talk about embroidery to get more from my machine and my scan & cut next year. Jason
