So practice and observe everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. 4. They tie up heavy, burdensome loads and lay them on men’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them. 5. All their deeds are done for men to see. They broaden their phylacteries and lengthen their tassels. 6. They love the places of honor at banquets, the chief seats in the synagogues, 7. the greetings in the marketplaces, and the title of ‘Rabbi’ by which they are addressed. 8. But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers. 9. And do not call anyone on earth your father, for you have one Father, who is in heaven. 10. Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Christ. 11. The greatest among you shall be your servant. 12. For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted. 13. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let in those who wish to enter. 15. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You say, ‘If anyone swears by the temple, it means nothing; but if anyone swears by the gold of the temple, he is bound by his oath.’ 17. You blind fools! Which is greater: the gold, or the temple that makes it sacred? 18. And you say, ‘If anyone swears by the altar, it means nothing; but if anyone swears by the gift on it, he is bound by his oath.’ 19. You blind men! Which is greater: the gift, or the altar that makes it sacred? 20. So then, he who swears by the altar swears by it and by everything on it. 21. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You pay tithes of mint, dill, and cumin. But you have disregarded the weightier matters of the law: justice, mercy, and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former. 24. You blind guides! You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel. 25. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! I'm going to be that guy. First the devil quotes scriptures for his own purposes is Shakespeare, not the Bible. Second I don't know what Bible Charlie is reading from by Leviticus is nowhere close to Matthew. Also if you're a Christian, the New Testament is supposed to hold more weight than the Old Testament. Finally, as with any historical writing, you can not analyze it without historical context. Leviticus was written for an ancient people. Translations suggest these "anti-gay" passages have to do with either the ancient Greek tradition of men having sex with boys OR men raping men as a form of military strategy or torture. You cannot use your feels as actual fact when discussing historical text.
Charlie Kirk is a tool. He's not accurate about the book/verse Ms. Rachel was referring to (Mark 12:40-31 not Levitcus) she was talking about what Jesus said in the new testiment.
Both Ms. Rachel and her husband are genuinely good people that have actually contributed to their community. It's not the first time they try to drag her. They did the same when she hired a non-binary staffer. They're idiots trying to farm outrage.
"I get tired of people talking about 'Bad words' and 'bad language' BULLSHIT the words are completely neutral, it's the context that makes them good or bad" George Carlin
It's fun to think sometimes that Nr. 1: Pride is (From my understanding at least) the Highest ranking of the 7 deadly sins and when you add Greed, Wrath, and Envy to the list, you're pretty much GUARANTEED an Express ticket to hell, yet they don't seem to understand that the book they claim to worship so much is telling them that their behaviour is the EXACT thing. And 2. hateful people with a lot of money and influence were the exact cause that led to their (supposed) Idol being crucified, to begin with, so I don't think they are the right people to do the Preaching bit.
But Miss Rachel might not be quoting Leviticus, because Jesus is supposed to have said this. In all the differnt follower accounts as well as in two of Paul's letters - there is either a quote from Jesus or from a story told by Jesus where he was told or is telling the liseners directly to "Love thy neighbor as thyself, " or even more extreme, to love your enemies and do good things for them. Since the old testment is losely based on the Talmud (the primary Jewish holy text), it is possible that Jesus was supposed to be quoting the Talmud/Jewish law there, but that doesn't make this argument any more specious.
I didn't know what I was planning on doing today but after hearing Charlie Kirk butcher that Bible verse and start out by saying "thou shalt...lay with another man", I think I'm going to go home and make that a clip for a song
This is what Christopher Hitchens called “picking and choosing from the Bible, a la carte”. Christians just pull from the Bible whatever they want and interpret it however they want.
I love the Old Testament because it's so specific sometimes. Whoever wrote it filled it up with their personal likes and dislikes, as well as prescriptions for extremely specific situations that probably happened one time in some sheep herding camp in the Ancient Near East.
Jesus Christ didn't teach hate, so why do these people claim to be Christians aka followers of Christ? (Old testament and some other verses get into hate, but Jesus didnt give an eff about who you were as long as you tried to be a better person and or help others.)
I've said it before in other comments but my late Dad was a Vicar and a life long Communist, he sometimes had people walk out of his sermons grousing that "I don't come to Church to listen to this Marxist nonsense", he wasn't very good at hating people.
The part that is so funny about the fundies is about how they keep talking about Leviticus, and totally miss that Jesus, in his Sermon on the Mount, told everyone to basically disregard that Old Testament bullshit. This is why Christians don't have to keep kosher, among other things.
We're talking about what Leviticus says? I want to play too! Leviticus 11:10 - And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which [is] in the waters, they [shall be] an abomination unto you:
I love the drag these guys use. The cigars, the "manly" mannerisms. It's all dress-up and make-believe underneath it all. And also, shame on Michael Knowles for spreading the godlessness saying gay roles!
GOD'S PERFECT LAW? 18 The [Mosaic law] is set aside because it was weak and useless 19 (for the law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God. Heb 7:11-28 IS CLEAR: CHRISTIANS ARE NOT UNDER THE MOSAIC OR ADAMIC OR ANY OTHER LAW. You cannot love Jesus and dismiss the whole reason He died for us.
Going off what he said about Eunichs (what we today would call intersex and trans people) he was very much an ally to them especially. He also never spoke about being with another of the same sex, especially not to condemn it, but he did speak clearly about harming children.
Mentioning the previous part of the same bible verse is irrelevant, Jesus himself clarified that it was more important to love thy neighbour in the next bit. That’s all you need to know.

I have no love for religion but she has to be the tamest, sweetest, best interpretation of it.
2 things: (1) Ms. Rachel didn't quote the old testament, she quoted the new. (2) old testament doesn't count for xtrians. Bonus (3) CK is a tool.
Love seeing a panel of white, similar aged "straight" males saying we dont look at color, we look at qualifications but it happens, bizarrely, that only 4 identical people are qualified to give different positions on an idea.
Charlie Kirk has the audacity to call his show "Thought Crime" when he's ragging on someone for committing one of his ultimate thought crimes?
What's more, the verses Ms. Rachel cites come from the story of the rich young man in Mt 19:16-22, whom Jesus told to sell all his possessions and give to the poor. He went away weeping because he valued his possessions more than people. No wonder Charlie Kirk has a problem with it.
Imagine hating someone because of some fantasy book. Unbelievable.
Thats how religion works for the past few millenniums
To be fair, Charlie Kirk is the head of Turn Point USA, whose merch exhorting people to 'drink raw milk' has the picture of a very tumescent bull.
Not the brightest of bulbs over there at TP-USA.
Thank you for telling me about this. I feel so petty for rejoicing at the sight of that little blue bull, gettin’ it up for Charlie.
MS. rachael is amazing. Especially for autistic kids.
4:43 talking pigs and snakes aren’t that unusual. Just head to your nearest police station and you’ll find plenty
We’re even watching a talking snake freak out over Ms. Rachel
Wow, so she actually follows the teaching as opposed to right wingers that just wear "Christian" as a title to feel good about theirselves
I find it so funny how the basis is “Don’t be a jerk”
And then it’s ultra religious people who are the biggest hypocrites of this
when it comes down to that level... Wicca is exactly the same (harm none do what you will) ... only there's more freedom in the belief systems and many practice solitary
edit: and most of those of alternative spiritualities don't try to force their beliefs upon anyone else... especially the way Christians do
FOX News had the same problem with Mister Rogers.
Thank you Charlie Kirk the truth !!
when someone doesn't just talk the talk but also walks the walk of christianity and acts in a christlike way, it makes the rest of them all look awful. It's so beautiful.
"You will know them by their fruits."
I notice they always avoid what Jesus thought about highly religious people like themselves. He pulled no punches.
Matthew 23:1-33
Woes to Scribes and Pharisees
1 Then Jesus spoke to the crowds and to His disciples: 2. “The scribes and Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. 3.
You traverse land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of helld as you are.
16. Woe to you, blind guides! 21. And he who swears by the temple swears by it and by the One who dwells in it. 22. And he who swears by heaven swears by God’s throne and by the One who sits on it.
You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. 26. Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, so that the outside may become clean as well.
27. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside, but on the inside are full of dead men’s bones and every kind of impurity. 28. In the same way, on the outside you appear to be righteous, but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.
29. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You build tombs for the prophets and decorate the monuments of the righteous. 30. And you say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partners with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’ 31. So you testify against yourselves that you are the sons of those who murdered the prophets. 32. Fill up, then, the measure of the sin of your fathers. 33. You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape the sentence of hell?”
All these religious zealots care about is "The Cross" -- They don't give a #%&* about anything Jesus said _before_ he "died for our sins."
Thank you for saying this! ❤
Charlie Kirk is a tool. He's not accurate about the book/verse Ms. Rachel was referring to (Mark 12:40-31 not Levitcus) she was talking about what Jesus said in the new testiment.
Isnt the "reinforcement of standards and norms" that cancel culture they hate so much? Except its social instead of governmental.
Charlie Kirk is a Dark Age person
Jesus did not pander. Jesus Christ is not a panderer. One must change if one wants salvation. If one does not change one does not want salvation.
You’re right, if a bigoted a**hole doesn’t change, than he doesn’t want salvation
Charlie showing he has nothing but hatred in his heart and despite its size he makes sure he has no room for new ideas in his head.
Haha
I just don't get people who say bs like this and think they are in the right.
Theres no hate like christian love
Kirk is so fuckin obnoxious.
It's a very powerful book.
I dunno how you watch all this and not lose it. I had trouble finishing this video hearing all the bs the haters spew…
ayo the bible says "thou shalt lay with another man" ?
Ok Charlie, got it.
Well TBF it used to say 'a grown man should not lay with a boy,' thanks to the lovely 16th century Catholic king who changed it to 'man'.
@@sophiepooks2174 You mean King James? Of the infamous King James Bible who also removed all mentions of the word "tyranny"?
What Charlie Kirk knows about Jesus, or the Bible, could very nearly fill an entire side of a PostIt.
Bible also says, stone people who work on the sabbath. Lots o stoning's in that book
Christians: Don't you DARE go loving people!
Jesus: WTF!?
Taking bets
What’s the chance that he is gay, I am willing to bet 100
Yeah, Ms. Rachel! You're only supposed to use your religion to justify hate and bigotry!!
Dang it, I didn't get the memo!
went off-script and challenged the hive-mind

@@satyestruhow else are we to know what God's perfect message says? 😜
Attacking Ms. Rachel is about as low as you can get.
His face keeps getting smaller
GIVE AWAY YOUR POSSESSIONS CHARLIE.....
I love the Old Testament because it's so specific sometimes. Whoever wrote it filled it up with their personal likes and dislikes, as well as prescriptions for extremely specific situations that probably happened one time in some sheep herding camp in the Ancient Near East.
Imagine if someone did that today: Thou shalt not put pineapple on pizza. And then in 2000 years, people are still taking that seriously.
Its so funny to see conservatives freak out over a true christians thoughts.
Another true Christian the right have always hated: Mister Rogers. (Coincidentally, also a children's host.)
BTW, would Charlie Kirk consider Mister Rogers' sweaters a "uniform"?
If we followed everything in the bible literally there would be no one left on the planet..
Charlie: it is good to hate people, actually, just like Jesus taught.
I doubt Charlie Kirk has ever read Christ's teachings. Not following Christ's teachings is the conservative ideaology.
Charile Kirk and his Christians showing their Christian love but is really hate and anger.
Why would I not hate and be angry towards evil?
@@jimbob498 What's evil about two consenting adults loving one another? And why are there no passages about how evil it is to sexually harm children?
The part that is so funny about the fundies is about how they keep talking about Leviticus, and totally miss that Jesus, in his Sermon on the Mount, told everyone to basically disregard that Old Testament bullshit. This is why Christians don't have to keep kosher, among other things.
Enforcing standards? Like blonde hair and blue eyes? Slippery slope that one.
We're talking about what Leviticus says? I want to play too!
Leviticus 11:10 - And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which [is] in the waters, they [shall be] an abomination unto you:
How insane you have to be to get angry about what she says? Bad shit insane….
I love the drag these guys use. The cigars, the "manly" mannerisms. It's all dress-up and make-believe underneath it all. And also, shame on Michael Knowles for spreading the godlessness saying gay roles!
Ms. Rachel believes in human rights and the fact that people are throwing a tantrum for that is honestly unhinged
7:56 THAT was flawless 😨 ain't no way that's "just for jokes, bruh."
The group of four white guys. Are they a Village People tribute group?
This song at the end bud, omg, so funny. Keep up the good work cutie ❤
If you quote Harry Potter it makes just as much sense.
i dont think the bible said to pay for transportation to storm the capitol either but here we are
Jesus was all about compassion.
Until it was hijacked by church and twisted his life and trachings and all and boom
You got a European based White Racist and Xenophobic Jesus

That outro is hilarious
GOD'S PERFECT LAW?
18 The [Mosaic law] is set aside because it was weak and useless 19 (for the law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.
Heb 7:11-28 IS CLEAR:
CHRISTIANS ARE NOT UNDER THE MOSAIC OR ADAMIC OR ANY OTHER LAW.
You cannot love Jesus and dismiss the whole reason He died for us.
The Jeebus of the New Testament would probably be an ally.
Going off what he said about Eunichs (what we today would call intersex and trans people) he was very much an ally to them especially. He also never spoke about being with another of the same sex, especially not to condemn it, but he did speak clearly about harming children.
Baby face Charlie has never known love 😢
"Only the unloved and the unnatural hate" Charlie Chaplin, The Great Dictator.
Oh I called this as soon as Trump announced but I was prevented from being able to have a platform so... I watched them become this.
Mentioning the previous part of the same bible verse is irrelevant, Jesus himself clarified that it was more important to love thy neighbour in the next bit. That’s all you need to know.
Why is Charlie Kirk watching Ms. Rachel? A grown man.... is watching shows for.. toddlers... for content.... Seriously?
Kirk tries to argue that you can't love god if you don't follow all his rules.
We've seen Kirk eat shrimp. That's a direct violation of god's laws.
