God bless Rez and Glenn. Saw them in Carson City when I was a teen and blown away. Cornerstone magazine was amazing also. My questions were more answered here than at church. 40 years later, Broken Promises and across these fields are two of my favorites.
My first 'hard rock' Christian music cassette, loved the early ones, Awaiting Your Reply, and the first few that followed thereafter. I'm a vintage guy, grew up listening - played it over and over and over, now I check out the vintage tunes that I grew up with. Good to hear the behind the scenes interviews. Giving God the glory in so many unconventional ways. I can relate! I'm 54, still a young guy, but I have four kids (2 - 12 yrs) and my wife. They don't like Rez Band, but that's okay. Thanks - oh, I saw Rez live once in Phx, AZ, pretty cool memories.
@@vaekkriinhart4347 because many, MANY Christian artists do not receive the respect that they deserve by "other" musicians. I didn't used to, but now I listen to both Christian and secular music. To me Glenn's vocals are some of the best from both industries. Basically, I'm not saying that he is the best "Christian" vocalist, but the best vocalist....period. does that clear it up for you? Blessings!
My ex husband turned me on to Rez Band in 1981, and Broken Promises has turned my stubborn heart towards God, more than once. Absolutely a fantastic ministry through music.
Hello Glen I survived was greatly blessed by your band lLords band music saved snatched out of fire 🔥 about same time . I remember when you came to phx ax with bus . Also saw you multiple times in Orange County ca at Disneyland night of joy etc . Keep going my brother family of God ..
I remember Glen and Resurrection Band in the early days. GOD BLESS JPUSAland. Awesome Sunday morning church services at 4707 W. Malden in Chicago. I saw "Colors" at Lane Tech.
What a great opportunity to be in a pioneering acid rock Blues based Rock and roll band! I seen these guys at my high school in southern California and was an immediate fan! Thanks for the good tunes
I remember being a new Christian in 1978 and hearing Rez, said to a friend, "That cannot be Christian!" He explained the song, "Awaiting Your Reply." I saw them in concert several times. Great times!
Before Rez came along, a lot of so-called Christian rock were second rate Crosby, Stills and Nash imitators where everything was sunshine and rainbows. Rez kicked down the doors with a mighty thud from Marshall amps and hit people right where they really lived!
Glenn's grey goatee and long hair. He reminds me of Tom Arraya. I met him (and Stu) at a festival in Front Royal, VA around the time that "Live: Bootleg" was released. Glenn was signing autographs. Somebody handed him a pen that looked like a little torpedo. He gave it a small throw and it stuck in the ground, lol. Glenn said: "That's a trip." My two stand out favorites are Colours,, and Irish Garden
I saw them at Calvary Chap Costa Mesa Ca. in the late 70's and I could not believe it was for free; so PRO!!! Glenn's voice never gave up and boy did he RAWK! I SPOKE TO HIM AFTER THE CONCERT AND HE WAS THE SUCH A SWEETHEART OF OF A HUMAN.He delivered the intention a true Christanity.
I was into Christian rock; lived at JPUSA. Sincere but sincerely deceived like Rez, Petra, Darrell Mansfield, Randy Matthews, Phil Keaggy, Randy Stonehill, Sweet Comfort, Barnabas, 2nd Chapter, Love Song & Larry Norman. I had a band & tried to reach kids via their music. It's unBiblical. No flesh in ministry. Glen cites what kids were into for how he started; that his music was too mellow at first. That speaks volumes! Jesus calls us to preach the gospel, not set up a beer tent with dance music.
Glenn was wrong. I grew up on Rez Band. We even pooled our resources and got the church to sponsor a concert in 1979 during the Rainbow's End tour Jesus wants nothing to do with rock n roll, it can't be redeemed for God's glory it's about sex and rebellion and defiance of authority at its core. I have repented of the years I spent in rock music. I pray everyone who calls themselves a believer joins me.
Can't join you because you are wrong. There is nothing of rebellion or sex in the music of Rez Band or any other Christian rock band. Glenn Kaiser is one of the most sincerely Christian men I have ever seen, and he is no dummy. He has enough wisdom to know that what he does musically is not wrong.
The purpose of what Glenn and Rez was doing (as well as myself along with Armada) was focused on souls being redeemed and declaring the Gospel. It was never about redeeming music because that would not make sense.

Amazing! Grew up listening to rez.

Glenn has two mics, one for his voice and another to record his stomach groanings! Love Glenn. My first pastor!

How did I miss this. I'm in Lancaster PA and WJTL is my station that I listen to.
Absolutely love this band. Have almost all the old LP's. They are still my favorite Christian Rock Band...and Glenn is a blues legend as well.

I wishglenn and band would come to Australia
I saw Glenn (solo) at Black Stump in 1990 or 1991. I was a big Rez fan at the time.
Rez helped me very deeply in my youth.

Great ministry
Glenn Kaiser is awesome
Resurrection Band/ Rez Band are awesome
What more can u say?
Love you brother thank you 🙏
Man the memories.
To this day, American Dream is so to the point as is Broken Promises.. Saw them in Montclair N.J.
I was wanting to watch some history of where "Rez," came from, then, this morning, I turn the phone, on and data, and, voila!
TXFLman - I have become all thing to all people so that by all means I may reach a few. Was the Apostle Paul deceived too?
no worries - they accused Jesus of being a drunk and the Salvation Army of being worldly too. Blessings

TXFLman. Sounds good what you said but not true. People need Jesus not relegion
Nobody could care less. It doesn't matter how we preach the Gospel
That s why Jesus died to show us the way so that we could have eternal life
Show me the beer tent at a Rez Band concert. Straw man much?
I like beer and I like Rez Band.
Great pounds achieved, fat stomach = good food, good life. Ok, there goes your good 'real American christian'.

KD Wells Jesus told you that?
KD Wells Repented of years in rock music? Man that sound so idiotic and ignorant.
