I can´t understand how these very young men (Jay Kay 26 and Stuart Zender 21)could create and perform these masterpieces at his age...they are really virtuous musicians.

Yeah Stuart was amazing at putting catchy basslines together, reminded me of Bernard Edwards, John Taylor and Mick Karn. Underrated bassist.

Jay Kay writen; composed; arranged and produced this track on studio; hes got some natural talent to music who is very above the general musicians; because this whole album his a milestone on Jazz-Funk history; a very tecnical and hard to reproduce genre

I will listen to this live until the day I die. It's been ten years now rewatching this live, it will never cease to make me feel like I am 15 or 16 again, in my room all alone, jamming to their music, imagining my future as a young adult. Today, I have everything I've ever imagined and I always end up tearing up or smiling like crazy when I listen to it now that I am 28. My heart is full every damn time.
    Favorite song ever, forever.
    Everything is good, thank god.

I was in university when this came out. I was starting to learn bass then, and thought it would take me a life time to master Zender’s lines. 30 years later, I am still learning new stuff from listening to Zender’s work.

These guys explored and mixed a lot of genres, really captured this vibe and took all the coolneSs from the jazz bass, disco, dance, pop and even hip hop, that with a melodic singing and very clever lyrics..now that is Jamiroquai a one in a lifetime band, this is the kind of artist that younger people should look up too, this is the real inspiration but music industry is really going so low..it s a shame .

I’m 17, I found this song on vacation a few months ago. I never really listened to any pop music, but this song is just different. The beat is crazy, I love how in the original song it has that weird little sound that just goes on throughout the song, and it just complete switches at the end of the song. I’m not sure if any of you know what sound I’m talking about but it wasn’t in the live version. But this song is beautiful. The demo version of this song was good, but he changed it into something completely different. This song will always have a special place In my heart.

It’s so crazy because their big break in the U.S. was Virtual Insanity because of the video with the moving room, won them an award for best music video that year ( which was the first time most people in the U.S. heard of them). By the time that album (Traveling Without Moving) came out that year, ~’96 ‘97, they had already gained a crazy fan base. It just took that video being played on repeat to give them major access to the U.S.
Also there’s Seven Days in Sunny June for the movie Devil in a Blue Dress, Deeper Underground for Godzilla, and of course Canned Heat for Napoleon Dynamite.

I can be in full panic attack mode but hearing Jkays smooth voice and Zenders bass guitar slapping rifts has me on cloud 9 again. Wish the band would reform and get back to this. As others have said this is a masterpiece. The weed political statement too, just right to plea for the legalisation of cannabis. 25 years on and we are still waiting......I dont even smoke it but I see others who rely on it to keep them calm. My addiction is just Jamiroquai!!

    Space Cowboy
    Everything is good ans brown
    I’m here again
With a sunshine smile upon my face
My friends are close at hand
And all my inhibitions have disappeared without a trace
I’m glad oh that I found
Somebody who I can rely on
This is the return of the space cowboy
    Inter-planetary good vibe zone
    At the speed of Cheeba
    You and I go deeper
Maybe I’ll gonna have to get high just to get by
Mmh now you now I’ve got that
    I got that cheeba cheeba
    Kind of space cowboy vibe
    Ah ah ah yeah yeah
Everything is good oh and green
    Say I’m red again
    And I don’t suppose I’m coming down
I can see clearly so high in the sky
A man with psychedelic picture frames
Of happiness to shade his eyes
He’s glad oh that he found
Somebody who he can rely on
This is the return of the space cowboy
    Inter-planetary good vibe zone
    At the speed of Cheeba
    And we’lI go deeper
You and I, You and I, You and I, Hey, Oh
Now this is the return of the space cowboy
He’s got the, he’s got the inter-planetary good, good vibe zone
Good times hard times, good vibes, hey
Oh, I like what you’re doing out there yeah
    This time
Oh now, now this is the return of the space cowboy
Interplanetary mmh interplanetary good vibe zone
    At the speed of Cheeba
Oh you and I, you and I go deeper hey
Maybe I’m gonna have to get high this time
This is the return of the space cowboy
    Inter-planetary good vibe zone
Say at the speed of Cheeba
    And we’lI go deeper
    You and I (x9) Hey
    We’re going deeper yeah (x3)
Now this is the return of the space cowboy
Good times, hard times, good vibes, oh
    Interplanetary good vibe zone
Ha ha ha ha oh you run
Oh mmh I know where it’s comin’ from
Now we’ve got people at the speed of Cheeba
    You and I go deeper
I’ll stay with you on this
    On this interplanetary level
    Mmh
This is the return of the space cowboy
Inter-planetary hey, a good vibe zone
Speed, speed at the speed of Cheeba
Oh you and I, you and I, oh you and I go
Hey hey hey and I go deeper deeper
    Okay I wanna go
I wanna go deeper with you
    You know you got that
You got the space cowboy vibe
Interplanetary good vibes, good vibes, good times
