Great video! Thank you for all the hard work that went into these. Seems like a good fit for my little home studio, to record guitars and pedals into my audio interface...without having to buy a good mic and cranking the amp.
Anyone try running acoustic electric guitars straight through the Sim Box for an overdrive edge??? My concern is artifacts when a processor can't handle the harmonic range of acoustics...
@@ShaighJosephson I’ve not tried an electric acoustic through it, but it should handle with no issues since there is no processor in the Sim Box, it is all solid state.
Hey! Thank you so much for such a detailed overview! I'm really curious to hear your thoughts on two setups: one featuring this pedal, and the other using a TC Electronic IR Loader paired with a dedicated preamp stompbox.
@@jiyukaze The tc electronic IR Loader paired with a good preamp pedal could also be an excellent solution. I guess if I had to compare or contrast the two, the Bloka Mugt Sim Box is all analog, so there is no latency. If the preamp pedal is digital, which will have some latency and the IR Loader will also have some latency. So, depending on all the components used with the Preamp and the IR loader, the latency could be a negative factor.
@Tone-Quest thanks a lot for the detailed reply! Your explanation about the latency differences and the benefits of an all-analog setup really helps clarify things. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts.
@@Len-cd1ou You are very welcome! No, I didn’t know of the Ly rock tone until you mentioned it. I would imagine it is very similar, if not the same in quality to the Bloka Mugt Amp Sim.
@@vitamin2845 It is very versatile, but just remember there is no real power amp in this device, so it can’t power a guitar cabinet. So you can run it directly into a sound card/PA or you could run into a powered FRFR cab.
@@marchettiguillaume come to think of it, no I don’t think I tried either of those on this device. Do you have a specific question about them that I can answer? Or are you just curious if they work properly?
@ thanks 😊 I’m looking for a solution to play with my headphone when my daughter sleeps and I use backing track every time so I think this pedal could be a THE solution 😃

@@brianhintze6440 My pleasure, yes… the more I use it, the more I enjoy it. Very handy indeed.

I have the red one 😁😁😁 I just found out that it sounds better when you run it with higher voltage 12-15v mine sounds thin with 9v
Thanks for the video. Have you tried the LY ROCK TONE MONTER-AMP DI.?
BLOKA MUGT YES. BOX is better, or is it equal in sound in sound quality..?

Where that thing can be connected by? Only to soundcard? Can i use it instead of combo amplifier?

Is it possible to produce good quality sound with only 9 volts of power supply?
@@ryutorres5619 Yes, I think so, but good quality sound is very subjective.
