Why do grown people on this show have so little sense? First Bridget and Ridge stand at the planned wedding in a house full of people and talk about their kiss and their most intimate feelings, now they stand in Big Bear's cabin and kiss again, even though they know that Eric is out there somewhere. 🙈
“He’s my dad too” yet you call yourself in love with your “brother”? Just a few episodes ago ridge was telling Eric he’ll always be his father…but once again he’s kissing his “fathers” daughter like it’s normal?
"I'm very lucky." If _this_ is Macy being lucky, I don't even want to know what it's like when she is _unlucky._ (On this show, Macy is lucky anytime she is not currently dead or dying. She can't ever hope for more than that.)
Of all the characters on this show, Macy was the only one who seemed like an actual human being today. Bobbie Eakes balanced Macy’s warmth and concern and genuine happiness for Darla with understandable wistfulness for her own missed maternity chances. If only she wasn’t about to get punished so very badly for her humanity.
Macy and Sally are the only two characters on the show who still act and feel like real people, and whose characters are still worth rooting for. Even CJ lost me in today's episode (and I usually love CJ) when he was all of a sudden, and completely inexplicably, in favor of Ridge and Bridget.
Like I mentioned yesterday, the situation with Darla/Thorne/Macy mirrors not only Ridge's paternity storyline, but also the Morgan/Ridge/Taylor storyline, where Morgan, Taylor's supposed best friend, got pregnant by Ridge although he never intended to betray his wife. However this current storyline works better than the Morgan storyline because the friendship between Darla and Macy is actually _believable_ in a way that Morgan and Taylor's friendship never was. Morgan and Taylor were supposedly best friends even though they had only known each other for a few months, whereas Macy and Darla have a decade-long on screen friendship. And the interactions between Morgan and Taylor never seemed naturaI or friendly. For example, once she found out that Morgan was pregnant, Taylor kept asking who the father was, acting as if it was her right as Morgan's best friend to find out this very personal information from Morgan. By contrast, Macy _never once_ asks about the identity of the father of Darla's baby, instead asking questions related to Darla's situation and showing concern for her well-being. And, of course, Darla is feeling genuinely guiIty about what she did, as opposed to Morgan who had no regrets. However, even though Darla does feel bad about what she did, Macy's kindness to her is making Darla look more guiIty by comparison. Just like when Macy was sympathetic to Sheila right before Sheila put alcohol in her drink and made her fall off the wagon (in 1993), Macy's genuine happiness for Darla (even though she also envies her - subtly shown by how Macy touches her own beIIy when she comments on how easy it was for Darla to get pregnant) and her sincere offer of being there for her and the baby is ironic because again, Macy is being kind to someone who doesn't deserve it and who will, in fact, hurt her.
That's so true about the Morgan/Taylor comparison. About the only good thing you can say about this storyline is that at least it's using already established relationships and characters (even if it's ruining them). LOVE the callback to Sheila spiking Macy's drink!
@@NewYorkNick0607 I remember your comment about that moment when Macy reached out and literally took Sheila's hand, and Sheila _almost_ (but not quite) changed her mind about what she was about to do. In Darla's case, Darla _does_ change her mind about telling Macy the terrible truth.
It’s so obvious we’re supposed to be on Brooke’s side since they have HER of all people talking about how inappropriate ridget is but I’m not buying it. For one, she’s once again putting all the blame on Mass for putting ideas in Bridget’s head but he’s just a part of the problem. Brooke’s been blurring the lines of what’s appropriate and what’s not since the kids were born. This is the same woman that was hoping off one of her kids brother onto their dad, back to the brother and then on the other brother and had no problem with being her own kids sister in law. This is the same woman that had a child with father and son and had no shame that her son was his sisters uncle. Brooke never cared about her dysfunctional household or how her kids felt about it as long as she had ridge, but now she’s shocked that Bridget would catch inappropriate feelings for a family member?
Well said! 👏 One of the craziest things was when Brooke was pregnant with Bridget and _hoping_ she'd turn out to be Ridge's daughter even though she already had a child with Eric! Think about how twisted that is. Anyone in that situation would desperately want both kids to have the same father to spare them a lifetime of scandal and shame. But no not Brooke. She never cared about poisoning the family tree or humiliating her children as long as she could have Ridge. It's not really that Bridget was Ridge's sister that's bothering her now - it's that Bridget is _competition_ for Ridge.
@@NewYorkNick0607 exactly. And given Brooke was the same one who went ahead and married the love of _her_ mother's own life (who at one point she also looked upon as a father figure and soon stepdad/father in law) ...I can't see her being so upset over Bridgit's behaviour. Bc it's just the thing Brooke would do. I wonder what she would have told bridgit if she had found her at her apt.
Exactly! Brooke created this entire situation by letting Bridget grow up in such a confusing family situation. And she has witnessed her mother's ob ses sion with Ridge since she was born. Of course Ridge would be the ideal man to her, because that's what Brooke taught her that he is.
The writers had to make Bridget Taylor-like for Ridge to be attracted to her. Notice her integrity and her doc-ness. Oh, she has integrity allright, while feeling guilty for kissing her mother's lover, while her mom slept with her husband and even got pregnant by him.
😂😂 So true! And you know @Trish made a good point that Thorne would be more believable as Massimo's son since Thorne works in shipping in the basement and Massimo is a shipping magnate.

I really wanted 11 year old CJ back to ask Brooke who Ridge really was to bridgit all her life thanks to Brooke's infatuation with Ridge ... Her father? Her brother? Her grandma??
Brooke keeps bothering CJ with her drama. Poor CJ really tried to give Brooke and her (Esi) coitus trophy a 'wake up call' regarding her dysfunctional family in season 8, but Brooke wouldn't listen.
Well, Bridget didn't choose the name herself, but her mother, who, as always, had her delusions about her relationship with Ridge. None of Taylor's children have any reference to Ridge in their names, even though they are all Ridge's biological children. For Brooke it had to be two.
And once again Brooke provides the prime example of a narcissist. She immediately turns the argument with CJ about Bridget back into the direction that everything only happened because Massimo wanted to destroy her relationship with Ridge. So she's back at the center of everything. This woman never manages to question herself. Whether Bridget may have suffered lasting psychological damage from Brooke's actions with Deacon.
Bridget and her crying around and doing the opposite is just like🤮. For me this horrible and sick Bridget & Ridge storyline destroyed her character totally. Is the writer totally crazy to punish the viewers with such trash?
Eric's just jealous that another Logan wants Ridge and not him.
