I just started listening to them a week ago. It’s crazy how long I’ve gone without hearing them.
The whole album of A Thousand Suns was a real polarising moment for the fandom, and there were more than a few die-hards who jumped ship at this point because they thought they'd strayed TOO FAR from the "classic" sound. Which is a shame because as far as I'm concerned it's one of their very best records, definitely something really special. The Catalyst is undeniably the absolute standout track on that album, and one which really NEEDS to be experienced, it's among their very best ever songs.

The album this song if from, A Thousand Suns, is very different, but I actually think it's, to me, their best work. I've LOVED Hybrid Theory and Meteora, I think they're amazing albums and the nostalgia for them is off the charts as well, but there's just something about A Thousand Suns that's just grown and grown and grown on me. I'd definitely recommend listening to more off that album, but ideally listen to the album in it's entirety, because it's definitely meant for that, it's a whole journey.

A thousand suns is probably their best album, really seems to grow on people.

Love the whole album
I grew up with A Thousand Suns and Living Things--later grew to love their older works, and then loved the Hunting Party (even saw them in concert during the Carnivores Tour). It's taken me a few years since Chester's passing, but I'm finally getting back into LP's music again.
Such a trip to see my by far favorite reactor check out one of my childhood favorites. Thanks man ❤️

If you want to hear a different side to Chester's voice then react to Rolling in the Deep by Adele. In 2011 Chester did a cover of Adele's song with just Mike on the keyboard. It shows just how high Chester could go with his voice. Chester could literally sing anything he wanted to.
In 2002 Chester recorded the song System for the Queen of the Damned soundtrack. Jonathan Davis (Korn front man) wrote the song but couldn't record it for the soundtrack because of his record label. Chester sounded just like Jonathan Davis in part of the song.
If you want to react to a song with clean vocals from Chester from Hybrid Theory time frame then react to My December live Projekt Revolution tour 2002. It is a soft song that doesn't sound like a Linkin Park song at all. In the performance Dave Farrell (Phoenix)plays the cello instead of the bass guitar.
I'm guessing you know the song Crawling but if you would like to see an awesome but extremely emotional version of this song I would suggest you watch the official Crawling, One More Light music video. Chester always sang with his heart out on his sleeve. You could always feel his pain.

LP got too much flak for going off script and it’s a shame bc some of their best work is done in the latest albums. ATS is an incredibly underrated album and an absolute masterpiece. I love all their work but ATS has a special place in my heart and WFTE in particular!! ❤❤❤❤. RIP Chester 🕊️🥰🫶🏻
