Just discovered you guys - really great sound! I'm a 70 year old who's just trying to put together a solo Beatles' tribute, by recording my own backing tracks on Ableton Live! I see you couldn't resist speeding Twist & Shout up, but I do congratulate you in finding band members who really stick to the original sound and arrangements! Dave Horton, Reading, UK
Hi Dave, The tempo of that sure varies ( when we have a go at it)- from occasion to occasion . That one plus We Can Work it Out and Mean Mr Mustard - we seem to have particular difficulty being consistent in terms of "picking a tempo". All the best with your tribute- and let us know when you've got it.
Hi Bob. Twist & Shout does sound a bit dreary at the original Beatles tempo (although the Isley Bros is even slower). Just listened to your Abbey Road medley - brilliant. I think you guys are better for not trying to dress up as the Beatles...Is that a voice doubler you sometimes use? Thanks for replying so quickly! Dave.
Hi Dave - I understand we are in the same age bracket and have parallel aspirations: only I have too much respect for the Fab 4 and too little esteem for my personal musical skills to even think I could singlehandedly pay them a decent personal homage. But I will definitely include jewels such as Can't buy me love and Kansas City in the recordings I intend to make in the house I'm in the process of buying in a part of France where I will be competing with loud barking dogs and a symphony of tolling church bells. I will do rythm guitar, bass, lead and probably a few keyboard notes. And yes, I will handle the vocals as well. Still I have no idea what sort of an equipment I should use for my personal purposes. I looked up Ableton Live ! but my limited lawyer's tools where incredibly unhelpful when I attempted to understand what this whole concept is about. If you may spare a second to reply, I would be grateful for a word of advice, like: go for it, it's just what you need or don't bother it's a sorry disappointment. Many thanks in advance - John
You guys are obviously very talented - but the Beatles thrill does not come from skills only. T&S is essentially John's raw singing and the first three-part harmony where Paul comes up surreptitiously from behind everyone with a signature high note scream. A scream which in my view makes the record. Paul never sought to repeat this performance live which makes the recording even more treasurable. Should anyone try and emulate the only band posterity might be willing to carve into eternity's marble, they just may not ignore these meaningful details but rather focus on them and address these most demanding challenges. A price to pay for real success.
The cover most accurate at the original song, YOU ROCK GUYS!!
Appreciate your kind words. Thanks
Drummer looks like one of my high school teachers from the 70's! Go Mr. B!
Those vocal harmonies are sooo good!
Just a little more cry in the voice, and its damn near perfect!

Well, Dave, you can tell from looking at us that we would pretty unpossessing with Beatles wigs and Pepper outfits. Thought we'd play it safe!
Hi Bob, I managed to get myself a silver Beatles' wig rather than a black one - goes better with my skin tone! Dave
