Hello doctor. I have heard we shud not combine papaya with milk or curd as it's a opposite diet ( virudh nahar) in Ayurvedic... how far can we follow this?
Yes, ayurveda does not recommend mixing of food types and fruits should ideally be eaten alone but if the child does like shakes and smoothies then its a good way to introduce more nutrition and fruit eating habits (an alternative to junk foods) while taking care that its done in moderation.

Please ensure that every bite of food is nutrient and calorie dense food. You can include foods like potato, sweet potato, peas, avoocado, ragi, millets, sathumaavu, banana[not the hybrid variety], milk , eggs, paneer, tofu, fresh veggies and fruits etc
And if baby is eating less quantity then increase the number of meal times rather than portion of the food.
A proper sleep after a meal and night sleep is neccessary for appropriate weight gain.
what kind of milk did you use?
As it's for kids we have used cow milk but you can also use any vegan milk as well.

Hello Babita, you can feed foods which are rich are carbohydrates protein fats etc. It is best if you feed your child fresh homemade foods and for every 1.5-2 hours to have a small meal.
Some of the weight gaining foods are potatoes, sweet potatoes,dry fruits, nuts and seeds, banana, milk etc.
