The power of dog takes away a lot of the challenge that would've been there for a lot of the enemies, but you also have to know how they work to avoid a lot of losses, and i don't think Mr. Binyot has the memory, or the patience, to do that.

I remember when I saw engulfed castle, my jaw actually dropped before I even entered the level. When the water wraith first spawned, I was so genuinely terrified I just left the level without getting all the treasures. I regret that now since the water wraith didnt respawn, but there was raw panic in that moment because i didnt realize you could squeeze by him, and I was cornered. The voyage log about pure fear clouding memories and judgement was so true, I completly forgot Oatchi had scorch/zap guard and could have disabled the hazards for me. The funniest part is, the more pikmin experienc you have, the scarier the wraith is.
I remember first entering that level and being like “oh hey I get this reference!” I didn’t know if they’d go that actual extra mile though by bringing back the whole water wraith 10 seconds later, the game switches to a cutscene. And those familiar, _godforsaken_ metal rollers drop from the cave ceiling…
The amount of times Vinny has allowed those pufferfish to kill his Pikmin in the exact same way (because he won't recall them before it attacks) is honestly baffling.
I love watching noobs who didn't get traumatized by Pikmin 2 into cautiously investigating how to fight bosses I had no idea how bad getting your entire party sprayed by the disco spider was because I was so worried about what it was gonna be that I only brought like 10 pikmin into the arena until I'd seen all 3 phases and went to get more lol

To his credit, hearing every individual pikmin's bodies get crunched and swallowed in excruciating aural detail is very distressing

What I heard is that Waterwraith spawns after you spent 5 minutes in a sublevel (minus the last one) so you were speeding thru most likely lol
