- I was able to locate the 1998 Polaris XC 700 that my Dad bought brand new when I was young! This was always my favorite sled and I hadn't seen it in 20 years!! Derek and Bradley from Vice Grip Garage came over and helped us get her running and then I had to follow up with a tractor burnout challenge.

Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

That polaris is a beaut! Thanks for havin' the boy and I out 👍!
Got both notifications at the same time, couldn't decide which to watch first.
Can you even imagine the burnout Derek could do with a John Deere after a guy got through soupin er up VGG style?
LOVE VGG !
Love both your channels. Keepem coming..
Lol. I have a 1997 700 rmk. With the 220 cyclinder jugs! Still runs!
Jims voice is one I just want to sit at deer camp and listen to stories.
No Smoke No Poke!!! I was a little scared when you went past the dryer sideways!!!! good job!!
Always been a big fan of Wes
Olf smoked his nothing here
@Dry Creek Cattle Co. don't forget about poor ol me!!! im still around doing the work..
Man did that El Tigre take me back! Dad had a 6000 El Tigre and I had a Yamaha SRX 440, that he and I used to race all over the Midwest. Used to ride Lake Okoboji every winter, eat Shrimp Cocktails at Tweeters off the lake.... just some real, genuine great family time and memories! Thanks for posting that!
VGG rocks! He can start everything after a cold snack.
Derek is absolutely brilliant. Started watching his channel only two months ago and here he is, walking into Zachs garage.
Vice Grip Garage
Same here!! This blew my mind!!
Who wants him to show the truck
I'm working on a plan for that!
@@MillennialFarmer Zach, would a tour of a GM truck plant this winter be something you would be interested in?
@@SlimFarmer Only if its full of Fords
Well I'll be dipped. So jazzed to see Derek here. A fellar is 106.719% impressed.
Yeah my two favorite UA-cam channels finally got together.
This is my favorite crossover youtube meet yet!..!
Guaranteed Wobble pops.
God Love and be with people like Jim, they are the Master Sargents in life, the ones who keep it all going.
Just watched your vintage snowmobile video. I grew up in the Red River Valley in Minnesota, and now am in my 70's so my wife and I have hung up our snowpants and boots. After owning 35 snowmobiles since 1972, and doing my own wrench work, like the vise grip garage (I'm subscribed to his channel as well), I truly had and drove the real vintage machines. All my wife's relatives live in Roseau, MN and some work at the plant, so am proud to say I never owned a Polaris, and have never been beaten by a Polaris in a race across the lake. Out side of owning 5 Skiroule snowmobiles ('72 - '76), all my machines have been Arctic Cats. Long live the CATS!!!
Don’t let him near any of the equipment with his 1 grit sanding skills 😂
Hey that'll clean the dust right off that cowl for a feller.....
Lol. Oddly, I was thinking the exact same thing when I saw Zach standing next to Derek on VGG. I was scanning for that single grit sander in the back ground.
"We Got Brake Lights, But We really Don't Have Brakes" Ends up in downtown Fargo. Very cool that you took the time to rescue those old sleds.
My worlds have collided....my two favorite people to watch.... ironically both from the great state of MN...thanks for the entertainment!
YES! I HAD A FEELING YOU WOULD TAKE PART IN THE BURNOUT CHALLENGE
What a great Minnesota combo! Vice Grip Garage and Millennial Farmer!
That Polaris brings back memories, had one bought less than 100 miles, rode lots of trails in Michigan Hart Lake. really enjoyed it. Evict them mices!
My ribs hurt from laughing. The look your son gave you when you told him 6 race cars where stored in there. Priceless
This combination of people makes me happy. Good people.
The sled cleaned up nice. Awesome you could find it again
LIBERTY 700!! Best Polaris engine. I had mine (04 sks700) to the PIN (120mph) and hit a trough buried under the snow. Tore one ski clean out of the frame and wedged it between the track and tunnel. I flew superman style for over 70 feet. We've both cheated death, my friend!! (I walked away though....needed a collar later.. ;))
That sure brought back some memories. A couple of friends bought the XC700's in 98. Good times!!
Love Derek, VCG, has an awesome sense of humour. Great looking Polaris. Sounds mean. 👍👍👍🇬🇧🇺🇸
Nothing better than Polaris 2 stroke cold smoke in your man space, loved the vid👍👍👍👍👍
AWESOME my two favorite UA-camrs doing a collaboration.
I have the exact same sled. It runs like a dream. I love it.
Nice great to see old stuff run again. Nice to see a tractor burn out.
Man this brings back memories! My first snowmobile was a '96 Polaris XLT600 that I bought in 2001! Making me feel old....
Of course I know Derek and Bradley from VGG just another one of my favorite YT channels glad to see you guys linked up that's awesome!
When my grandpa passed on he left me a Polaris Indy 700 just like that! Sparked my love for Polaris sleds, I’m so happy to see a sled just like my old one still pushing on and making people happy and still making memories.
“Rubbers expensive. I wouldn’t be that irresponsible” 😆😆😆
Sorry, I just had to laugh at that one 😉
The XC 700 Polaris was one of my last and best sleds, I also see in your storage shed a 1992 Trail boss 4 by 4 Quad. Still have mine. Your dad had good taste. I'm now in my mid 70's and retired, all but memories. Daryl from Vis Grip Garage in one of my favorites also. Keep up the good work you guys.
Ron Henderson - Morden, Manitoba
I just watched this over on VGG, glad to see to fellas I watch make a video together. God bless, and stay safe.
Got a love them older sleds. Thanks for sharing, just random stuff, that's Farm life.
I never would of imagined this kind of crossover! I absolutely love VGG! Together with MF, damn. I wish he had more in the video of his repair. Non the less, it was good.
That was fun! Surprised it started. Thanks for sharing.
So awesome to see you and Derrik collaborating!! I absolutely love both of your channels. Keep up the awesome work!
Snowmobiles and Dad Juice (beer). Good times!
I know Zach is loving this!
My two favorite UA-cam channels at once!!!! Awesome
Possibly one of my favorite YT collabs to date.
I love old Eltigre's.....Always wanted one!!!!! Have never ridden a snow mobile in my life which is on my list.
I discovered your Millennial Farmer channel on UA-cam about six weeks ago. I have been binge watching your videos, and have been enjoying them very much ! It is great to see a young family decide to go into the farming business. Keep up the great work; most people today really don’t understand how our food is produced.
Zach, I really enjoy the humor you put into your videos, but then to be a farmer now days you have to have a sense of humor. Seems like your always having to deal with some sort of issue.
I grew up in a farming community in Wisconsin, 8 miles north of Winona, MN. If you were going to Green Bay to watch the Packers play this weekend, ( sorry I had to go there ha ha … My humor ) you would pass 53 miles north of where I grew up.
Keep the videos coming !
Thanks for the video Zach on the snowmobiles. Was interesting. I had them for many years and really enjoyed the sport. That Polaris of your dad’s is a older hot machine. It sounded wonderful. Will look good cleaned up. You kitties on the tractor I will leave alone. Oh my. Thanks. Love the old snowmobile machines. Iowa farm boy from years ago.
Glad u could reunite and get her running
This is the collaboration we've all been waiting for. I'll be dipped, it actually happened!
Oh man, awesome video. Nothing like getting an old sled going again. Loved it, thanks.
My dad owned one of the XC 700 red hood that EPI used at Hay days for a as long as they would let t hem race it. Thing was a beast.
You can see in your face how stoked you are. Congrats on finding it and being able to buy it back.....
I had 2 of those 700's, a "99 and "00, they really ripped, loved those sleds...
"We could have one and think about it" must be the official phrase of Minnesota. That's what my old bricklaying buddy from Harmony used to say.
Derek is soooo funny! Everyone’s got to check out his channel!
I love Vice Grip Garage! Good neighbor to have.
Derek is such a awesome dude lucky to get to hang out!! Both of you are great guys!!
I remember my dad having that sled, he loved that sled, and that el tigre reminds me of a mint sno jet that I rode a while ago
As he cuts off the "dangerous" hoodie strings with a commando knife 2 inches from his neck......LOL.
nice that you and the guys and your kids had a fun time
Hi Zach, The 98 XC-700 / XC-700 are GREAT sleds. I had a 600. It is the best sled I have ever owned! I sold it a couple of years ago with almost 10000 miles on it. Now that you have this sled back, hold on to it. It's a keeper! Ride safe!
Fun video! Hope you enjoy your winter! Keep on keeping on and God Bless ❤️!
Great to hear a shout out to Wess first farm youtuber I found and still watching.
My last sled was a 92 Polaris 650 triple. That was an awesome ride.
Damn, I remember when my Dad got a '98 SKS 700, those 700s were somethin else. Take care and enjoy what little snow you do have
Just got rid of my 1998 600XC with 4000 miles on the clock this last summer. Sold it to my co-worker and he got it running in short order. Of course the brakes don't work on that one either but he said it fired right up. It had been sitting for 10-12 years in my garage. One of the fastest sleds owned. Prior to that I had a 96 600 XLT(loved the sound of those Polaris triples) before that and it could pull away from that sled.
I just found VGG garage about 2 weeks ago, very entertaining and informative!
Thats awesome you found your dads old sled. love watching the videos keep up the good work!
There it is!!!
Keep this type of stuff coming! Patiently waiting for videos on between the rows!
Hi Zach and Family, love the palais snowmobile, I use to have a 74 yamaha 440 all aluminum body and had it board out to a 500 triple carb. Talk about a sick ass ride I loved it. It had cleeted track with 2" spicks, top speed 143 mpr she was fast loved that machine. Enjoy every video, thank you.
Seeing that old Polaris brings back so many memories, I used to take my dads 1990 Indy 500 out with the boys, that needle may of been pinned a time or 5 lol also might of seen a jump or 2
great to see you two gents together!
I'm rocking a 98 polaris xcr 700 gotta love the sound of the tripple pipes. Really love the wedge chassis though.
Oh boy, the crossover we have been waiting for!!!
Came over here after VGG dropped the name and link. Look forward to more vids. We do Polaris here in Fl, but in jet skis on the water:)
You guys will should do indoor Go carting in the Cities. Great to see you guys got together.
Two favorite MN tubers in one video? I would have never guessed!
Two favorite people in the world. Don’t tell my wife.
Love Jim and Vice Grip garage
Holy Crap @Vice grip garage is there!!! 2 of my favorite UA-camrs! Good job guys!
Nothing like watching old equipment come back to life! Brings back good memories. Although, I can’t believe with all that grime we didn’t get one “EwwWwWWWw”
Nice to see crew chief Derek again
I love the trophies right above the door when you walk out. Kinda of a feel good when you walk out of the shop
Me and Dad still have an old eltigre and 2 jag 340's, very fun sleds!
Glad I'm not the only 1 that doesn't like the string in my hoody lol workn on them old sleds is so much fun
I had a 98 XC 600 by far my favorite sled !!! Good for you
Nice to see you have some Colorado water around 😉
Just love that sound .it makes me getty. I want it
Spectacular tractor play at the end.
I’ve got shed envy, what a lovely play shop you have.
Cheers Zach and Onyx
Onyx reminds me so much of Nate. Have fun guys!
Now I know how VGG showed up in my feed...love his stuff
Zack and Derek collab? Oh heck yes!
Glad you guys did a video together! Vice Grip Garage is a great channel!
My first ever sled was a Artic Cat Lynx 294-Wankle engine and a grozer bar track. Next sleds were Ski-Doo 440 T-NT and a Blizzard 5500. Next sled was a 1986 Polaris Indy Trail with Hooker studded track. That was one fun sled. Last sled was a Polaris Classic Touring-2 up machine. Tore up my knee and had to give sledding up. Still miss it. Always rode in Eagle River WI area. I'm a FIB-Fab IL Boy I think is what it means!
My two favorite channels come together! Good job boys!
Great burn out !! Awesome video
i grew up in that era with that year of sled and they were hard to kill.
I had that same sled... It's still in the family, back of Dad's shed for a few years now
I loved my 98 xc700 getting it back would be awesome
'95 Polaris XLT 600 was my ride...great sled!
