मुनव्वर फारूकी श्रीराम के ऊपर अभद्र टिप्पणी करता है, घटिया जोक्स मारता है और बदले में उसे LockUp नाम के रिएलिटी शो में जानें का मौका मिलता है जहां वह जीत भी जाता है।
अकबरूद्दीन ओवैसी नें हिंदू देवी-देवताओं को मनहूस कहा था, श्रीराम के विषय में अपशब्द कहा था और माता कौशल्या के विषय में यह कहा था कि वह कहां कहां गईं थीं राम को पैदा करवानें के लिए।
और इन दोनों ही मामलों में पूरा मुस्लिम समुदाय इनके साथ खड़ा रहा। मुनव्वर फारूकी के खिलाफ कार्रवाई होनें पर विक्टिम कार्ड खेल रहे थे कि मुसलमान है इसलिए उसे परेशान किया जा रहा है, यहां तक कह रहे थे कि मुनव्वर नें जो कुछ कहा उसमें कुछ आपत्तिजनक नहीं था। वहीं अकबरूद्दीन ओवैसी के मामले पर कहते थे कि वह तो कोर्ट निर्णय करेगा कि उन्होनें जो कहा वह गलत था या नहीं। क्या इन्हें नहीं समझ आ रहा था कि जिस तरह की भाषा का प्रयोग अकबरूद्दीन नें किया है वह दूसरे की धार्मिक भावना आहत करती है या नहीं? मतलब दूसरे धर्म के खिलाफ घटिया से घटिया शब्दों का प्रयोग करनें पर भी इन्हें उसमें कुछ भी आपत्तिजनक नहीं लग रहा था, तब यह अचानक से बहुत "खुले दिमाग" वाले हो जाएंगे और सामनें वाले को नसीहत देते हुए कहेंगे कि विवाद न करे और मज़ाक को मजाक की तरह ले, तब यह अचानक से बहुत संविधान के प्रति वफादार बन जाएंगे कि कोर्ट को फैसला करनें दो।
इसके विपरीत भाजपा प्रवक्ता नुपुर शर्मा जो सिर्फ तस्लीम रहमानी द्वारा शिवलिंग के अपमान के जवाब में इस्लामिक किताबों की ही लिखी बातों को रख रहीं थीं और सिर्फ इतना कहा था कि क्या *मैं भी इन बातों का मज़ाक उड़ाऊं*, ध्यान रहे नुपुर नें मज़ाक उड़ाया नहीं था न ही आयशा से शादी को लेकर पैगंबर मोहम्मद के खिलाफ कोई अपशब्द कहा था सिर्फ चेतावनी दिया था कि क्या मैं भी मज़ाक उड़ाना शुरू करूं और यह चेतावनी इसलिए थी ताकि तस्लीम रहमानी हिंदुओं की आस्था का उपहास न करे। बस इतनी सी बात पर पूरा मुस्लिम समुदाय उबल पड़ा है। जिन्हें अकबरूद्दीन के मामले में नहीं समझ आ रहा था कि उसकी भाषा भावनाओं को आहत करनें वाली है या नहीं, जो लोग अकबरूद्दीन को कोर्ट से बेल मिलनें पर उसे बधाई दे रहे थे उन्हीं लोगों के अपनें मजहब पर बात आई,अपनें पैगंबर पर बात आई वहां तुरंत समझ आ गया कि यह गुस्ताखी की गई है। अब कोर्ट के ऊपर क्यों नहीं छोड़ देते मामला? अब क्यों नहीं कोर्ट को तय करने देते की यह भड़काऊ भाषा थी या नहीं? नुपुर शर्मा को भाजपा नें सस्पेंड कर दिया है और अब उन्हें और उनके परिवार को रेप और जान से मारने की धमकी दी जा रही है।
यह दोहरा रवैया इस कौम के दोगलेपन को अच्छे से उजागर करता है। यह दिखाता है कि इनके अंदर मजहबी घृणा कूट-कूटकर भरी हुई है और साथ ही साथ इस फर्जी सेकुलरिज्म के दावे की पोल भी खोल देता है कि आजतक भाईचारे के नामपर कितना बड़ा धोखा हो रहा था हिंदुओं के साथ। हिंदुओं के आराध्य का अपमान करके भी मुनव्वर को रिएलिटी शो में बुलाया जाता है, हिंदू देवी देवताओं को गाली देकर भी अकबरूद्दीन ओवैसी विधायक और उसका बड़ा भाई सांसद बना रहता है वहीं नुपुर शर्मा को सिर्फ जो इस्लामिक धर्मग्रंथ में लिखा है उसे सामनें रखनें के कारण बिना कोई अपशब्द या उपहास किए बिना भी सस्पेंड कर दिया और मामले का अंतरराष्ट्रीय करण हो गया। इन सबके बाद भी दुनियाभर में नैरेटिव यह कि मुसलमान डरा हुआ है, मुसलमान के अधिकारों का हन हो रहा है और देश में हिंदू फासिवाद हावी हो गया है। इससे बड़ा दुर्भाग्य और क्या ही होगा
