    I had to watch this one again its so clear and understanding and I think I really get the theory behind them great gnt. Also for every stance in tkd are the legs always shoulder width apart? it looks as such, just double checking:) None the less I truly love this stuff.

      That's great and they are a comfortable distance apart for you so it varies slightly. I'm glad you do :)

    I feel havng your hands mid section of your body are always best like what you are doing. people who hold their hands up way high are setting themselves up for alot of open targets plus all you have to do is slap their arms down to get a headshot.

    Hey GNT,
    Just wanted to clarify what if the rules of sparring in my area (WTF) is no punching to the head?
    Is the stances then classified into Defence for front stance, attack for the angled arm stance, and spinning kicks for the Side Arm stance?
    On a side note, when are ur advanced techniques coming out, looking forward to them :D

    Hey I HOPE YOU REPLY! My name is Reynaldo. I am 15 and I am 5'8 and 215lbs. I love fighting and hopefully become a UFC fighter one day. Anyways I really have a problem. I feel like I'm too slow! I can never truly catch someone and once I do it's not effective because I just barley caught them with a punch, kick, etc. Is there anyway to get faster or catch someone? I have a real problem considering I want to be a UFC fighter and they will probably be a lot faster. please help!

      Practice slowly, deliberately, your techniques with weights on your forearms and ankles. This will help improve speed, just be careful not to over extend your joints or get too excited, or you could end up out of the game for awhile.

    While this is good, as a black belt in Taekwon Do, I disagree that there need to be specific stances. Your stance should be comfortable for you, and fit your style of fighting.

    • @GingerNinjaTrickster
      @GingerNinjaTrickster  10 років тому +4

      These are the 3 main stances. I did not say that they were all of them. This video is made for people who want guidance on efficient stances for sparring. Obviously with experience you adapt and change things to make them more efficient for you. I don't disagree with that, I encourage it.

      Believe or not everytime I think of doing a martial art stance, that's the one I go to. The only martial art I've taken was Tang Soo Do and that was all the way in 2002-2004. I had to leave because of monetary concerns. I really miss doing that. I wish it wouldn't cost so much. Especially when I am trying to save money for school, a car, down payment on a place to live, and to visit my girlfriend in Australia. Wish I hadn't slacked off in school. I would have been a more successful adult by now. Anyways, now that I know that the Ansatsuken stance is real, I will used that from now on.

    I see that you are one of the few people who answer the questions in the comments.
    I have a problem, I'm Polish, and I do not know the English language perfectly, I have a problem with the mastery of Tornado Kick/360 and Kip Up.
    I know that you have the videos, but if you could explain to me in more detail, eg, 'in a private message, or under my comment :)
    Really I care, I love Taekwondo.
    Thanks :)

    • @GingerNinjaTrickster
      @GingerNinjaTrickster  10 років тому

      I do reply but to give every single pointer and for you to understand it through a comment would be very difficult. The main advice is on timing of takeoff and turning the non kicking legs knee out to release the hips of the kicking leg so you can make a clean round kick. Use the tutorial on it as a visual reference to help learn the move and good luck :)

    hey about the 2nd stance...does it have a name? If not I guess I can just refer it as the Ansatsuken stance since that is the name of the fictionalized martial art that Ryu and Ken practice. Which is your favorite stance?
