i respect you master :)
muy bueno pero yo no practico itf pero esta genial eres muy bueno
estaría muy bueno que alguien subtítulo en español.. me gustan los videos
Marcos Barragán mejor aprende ingles por tu propia cuenta. es mejor.
Can you post a tutorial for sparring drills that can be practiced without a partner especially drills that cut improve reflexes
Yeah. This would be really good Aaron! Dooo it :)
Fabian Gilson Maybe in the future but I have a few others planned first :)
Very nice tutorial. It will help me a lot with the training :)
Yo
I had to watch this one again its so clear and understanding and I think I really get the theory behind them great gnt. Also for every stance in tkd are the legs always shoulder width apart? it looks as such, just double checking:) None the less I truly love this stuff.
That's great and they are a comfortable distance apart for you so it varies slightly. I'm glad you do :)
The second one is a street fighter stance
As always, excellent teaching with clear explanations and demonstrations. Thanks!
I appreciate you saying that. Thank you :)
The switch and spinning jump kick you did was perfect. Its like you were a step ahead of him
I'm glad you liked it :)
This helped me so much, thank you.
What about the back stance? Where the front foot points towards the opponent?
Although my kung fu sparring is better at least they use hands for being ta kwon guys...we always whoop their ass in tournament because they have no hands and leave groin wide open for ball shots
i like your combos
general Choi wrote this? not misunderstand... is not misconduct... the tkd is brilliant...
the 2nd one is like ryu stance
Awesome. Thank you.
Repeat spin y movement;)
that's my preferred guard as well. Which kind of competition sparring do you do?
I used to do continuous points sparring mainly :)
Oops! The cute baby comment was supposed to go on your Martial Arts Tricking Sampler.
No worries :)
I feel havng your hands mid section of your body are always best like what you are doing. people who hold their hands up way high are setting themselves up for alot of open targets plus all you have to do is slap their arms down to get a headshot.
Any chances of getting some self-defense videos (e.g. Throws, Joint Locks, etc)?
Maybe in the future :)
Hey GNT,
Just wanted to clarify what if the rules of sparring in my area (WTF) is no punching to the head?
Is the stances then classified into Defence for front stance, attack for the angled arm stance, and spinning kicks for the Side Arm stance?
On a side note, when are ur advanced techniques coming out, looking forward to them :D
Excellent I like your videos, Gen Choi Hong hi would be proud to have an studend like you.
Could you explain to me how raising up onto the ball of the foot enhances movement? I always turn my back foot degrees outwards with 60% of my weight on it so i can quickly throw out kicks off the front leg.
Hey have you studied anything besides TKD?
Yes, a few different martial arts :)
wow
thanx buddy nice video! do u have a video on how to defend against a fighter that throws upper cuts?
This is my first sparring tutorial but I will be making more in the future so keep an eye out and good luck with your training :)
Hey I HOPE YOU REPLY! My name is Reynaldo. I am 15 and I am 5'8 and 215lbs. I love fighting and hopefully become a UFC fighter one day. Anyways I really have a problem. I feel like I'm too slow! I can never truly catch someone and once I do it's not effective because I just barley caught them with a punch, kick, etc. Is there anyway to get faster or catch someone? I have a real problem considering I want to be a UFC fighter and they will probably be a lot faster. please help!
That's great and good luck with your training :) I will make something on improving speed very soon :)
Practice slowly, deliberately, your techniques with weights on your forearms and ankles. This will help improve speed, just be careful not to over extend your joints or get too excited, or you could end up out of the game for awhile.
Alguien me podria decir la diferencia entre la segunda y tercera y para que sirven?
whats the name of the music in the beginning of the video? can anyone please tell me??
It's in the description :)
GingerNinjaTrickster Thank you
No problem :)
What is yours favor stance
Depends on the person i'm sparring and usually it varies and switches throughout so i'm not predictable :)
Cute baby!!!
Do you have any weapons tutorials? Bo staff or nun chucks?
Thanks....
Thank you and not at the moment but maybe one day :)
the best!!!!!!!
Far from the best but thank you for your support :)
When are you up for your 3rd Dan?
I will be taking it sometime this year :)
Can you explain the "shoulders shrugged" bit? Does that mean lifted or relaxed? Thanks.
That's to protect your neck from being kicked.
Nice video. Probably also helpful for WTF style TKD :)
One question: What does the black belt with the white stripe mean?
Thank you and yes it is :)
It's an assistant's belt.
Wow, I didn't know sparring was such a science :P
lol
Hoi. Do you have any drills to help cover distance more efficiently/quickly?
Yes, most of the advice is already in some of the kicking tutorials when I explain skipping with the kick.
Hello Aaron….I greatly admire what you´re doing. I´ts very impressed and instructive.
Unfortunately so far from me …otherwise it would be a honor for me to learn in your school. Keep it up and have patience with our questions…Best regards from germany.
Thank you and i'm glad you think so :) That's a shame and I will do my best :)
hey buddy! tks for the tuto. would you have some real fight/championship from you? i will be glad to watch it! greetings from brazil. tks and keep it up!
I used to compete but the video footage was lost on my old laptop. I'll see if I can contact someone and get the footage somehow :)
What techniques can I do to loosen up my knees for kicking?
I do Knee circles mainly and a few others. Check out my stretching tutorials below and good luck :)

Thank you GingerNinjaTrickster ! That's what i was waiting for ;)
No problem and I hope you enjoyed the video :)
While this is good, as a black belt in Taekwon Do, I disagree that there need to be specific stances. Your stance should be comfortable for you, and fit your style of fighting.
These are the 3 main stances. I did not say that they were all of them. This video is made for people who want guidance on efficient stances for sparring. Obviously with experience you adapt and change things to make them more efficient for you. I don't disagree with that, I encourage it.
this is really helpful
I'm glad you thought so :)
Nice tutorial i hope this will help me a lot with sparring, i suggest you to do a kicking and pounching speed training video, also for sparring, my brother and I was doing sparring and he told me he could predict my kicks because i was a bit slow
Thank you and I will be making them videos in the future :)
Nice video sir, great speed and control! thanks
I appreciate you saying that. Thank you :)
Great video again Aaron, keep them coming 👍👊
I appreciate you saying that and I will do my best to :)
Basic stuff but nice and in depth, good job!
Thank you and that was the idea, to start with the basics :)
Hey Mr. GNT, what is your opinion on light contact point fighting? I cannot seem to see it as a effective style of fighting and quite frankly i see it as a embarassment.
It's a game, a show of skill and should not be compared to outside fighting :)
Thank you for your input sir.
No problem :)
Can you make a tutorial on how to do jumping spin kick
Already up :)
I like the 2nd stance. It's Ryu's stance from Street Fighter.
:)
Believe or not everytime I think of doing a martial art stance, that's the one I go to. The only martial art I've taken was Tang Soo Do and that was all the way in 2002-2004. I had to leave because of monetary concerns. I really miss doing that. I wish it wouldn't cost so much. Especially when I am trying to save money for school, a car, down payment on a place to live, and to visit my girlfriend in Australia. Wish I hadn't slacked off in school. I would have been a more successful adult by now. Anyways, now that I know that the Ansatsuken stance is real, I will used that from now on.
lol That's a shame but we all have those to deal with. Good luck :)
If martial arts training was affordable or someone was nice enough to allow me free lessons, I'd be much happier.
Thank a lot sir!! This tutorial help me so much !
No problem and i'm glad it helps :)
could you do a video for sparring combinations?
I will do in the future yes :)
Sweet!
Could you make a tutorial how to do patterns?
I won't be making video on patterns unfortunately.
Are you Irish?
GingerNinjaTrickster
Nah, I'm Welsh :)
:D GingerNinjaTrickster
More sparring
Will make more in the future :)
Mr P is looking good with his BB - Congrats!
What? lol How have you been?
GingerNinjaTrickster Translating from Liverpudlian.. Mr Pupic looks great in his Black belt - Congratulations to him! I'm not too bad thanks, not training regularly enough though! Hopefully i'll find some time to come and train with you guys!
lol I'll tell him you said that. Thank you :) That's great and sure, just drop us a message and hopefully we will be free :)
Good video ;)
I appreciate you saying that. Thank you :)
You're awesome Aaron! I'd like if you make a "one leg back flip tutorial" Greetings from Romania.
I appreciate you saying that. Thank you :) I will do in the future :)
It's ok. Good luck!
very good!!
I appreciate you saying that. Thank you :)
I see that you are one of the few people who answer the questions in the comments.
I have a problem, I'm Polish, and I do not know the English language perfectly, I have a problem with the mastery of Tornado Kick/360 and Kip Up.
I know that you have the videos, but if you could explain to me in more detail, eg, 'in a private message, or under my comment :)
Really I care, I love Taekwondo.
Thanks :)
I do reply but to give every single pointer and for you to understand it through a comment would be very difficult. The main advice is on timing of takeoff and turning the non kicking legs knee out to release the hips of the kicking leg so you can make a clean round kick. Use the tutorial on it as a visual reference to help learn the move and good luck :)
GingerNinjaTrickster
Really. Many thanks for your reply!
It was easier to me to master by reading this :)
And what you could say about Kip Up (Hands)?
I have this evening MMA, and try to perform a few times a this kick :)
I'm really happy, that is someone who recording tutorials HowToKicking :)
Really Thanks :)
I repeat the question, if you like this answer.
Could you explain exactly, more or less as before, as do the Kip Up (Hands)?
Where can i get your globes?
They are ones sold at my gym.
Love you
Thank you for your support :)
What type of sparring pads are they? I use Top Ten for my international competitions! x
They are RDX 12 oz gloves. Cool :)
Okay thanks! :)
good
Thank you :)
a great tutorial but, can you do a tutorial on what to do during sparing such as: footwork, counter attacks, evading attacks and what kicks to use in different situations (when your cornered or when your at the side line getting rapidly attacked) thank you
I will be making more sparring videos in the future :)
awesome! i'll appreciate that thank you :)
you've participated in any competition?
+haider HHH kagalwala Yes :)
+GingerNinjaTrickster cool bro
Hey GNT, I got a problem with bending my foot outwards and downwards instead of keeping my foot out and loose, so it's flat, any tips on how to fix that? I was told it was a problem dunno if that's true or not though.
Is there any particular reason why? A previous injury?
No not really, I think it's because of my previous surgery I had. No clue.
Try and strengthen around it to protect it and stretch it gently to increase mobility. Advise your doctor first though if it was a serious injury. Good luck :)
Have you taken some boxing? Some TKD guys don't have good punches but yours were pretty good
+Too Future I do kickboxing too but that's it :)
Ah ok thats cool. Will you add wrestling or judo training in the future?
Too Future Maybe.
If you feel it's right for you go for it :). It's also an unstoppable combination of styles because you have takedown defence and submissions :p
hola! muy bueno el video! por favor podrias poner subtitulos en español? muchas gracias.
Thank you and I wish I could but I can't translate them efficiently at this moment in time.
ok. Thank you.
hey about the 2nd stance...does it have a name? If not I guess I can just refer it as the Ansatsuken stance since that is the name of the fictionalized martial art that Ryu and Ken practice. Which is your favorite stance?
It's usually referred to as an angled stance :)
Oh okay. I thought it had a specific name. :) Which is your most preferred stance?
Depends what situation i'm in. Front stance is best for outside fighting, side stance is my favorite for sparring as there are no leg kick but I still bob between them :)
oh I see...can any of these be done in any occasion? if so I guess I can stick with the folded arm stance.
No, your position or guard changes depending on your distance from an opponent too.
This is awesome :)
I'm glad you liked it :)
You are so good
I appreciate you saying that. Thank you :)
AMazing!
I appreciate you saying that. Thank you :)
Super :)
I'm glad you liked it :)
