The paper & designs are so beautiful
Thank you so much 😊
Beautiful!!!!
mind blown, amazing job!!
Thank you for the great video!
Just got my machine. Can’t wait to start making this. Your videos very helpful. Thank you
Let me know if I can help.
Love this! Thank you!
You are so welcome!
So pretty
Not sure if anyone gives a shit but if you are stoned like me atm then you can watch pretty much all the latest series on InstaFlixxer. Been binge watching with my girlfriend during the lockdown =)
@Khari Shepard Yea, been using instaflixxer for months myself :D
Love this 😍😍😍
Thank you! ❤
I love these! You make it look so easy :)
You can soooo do it! And I'm here for questions. I would try to do the cricut cutie in design space (but don't go to Make It). Then you can do any of them!
The Useless Crafter thank you :)
Great job… I also do the same type “large format” projects using the Cricut and foamcore. However, I prefer to apply vinyl then when complete… I razor cut out the shape keeping a 3/8” boarder.
What printer do you use?
@@gwendolynleonard4970 I usually just send my high Rez Art over to Office Max and let them print on 11x17 card stock. It’s better and less expensive than trying to buy ink for my home printer and coverage is better.
Wow 🤩 amazing video
Thank you! Glad you liked it. 🙂
I absolutely love it! I’m going to try Snow White, I may have some questions
They look great. Have you find a way to protect them to use outside? Thanks 😊
They'll last for a party, but I wouldn't keep them out overnight. I think you would lose the sparkly parts if we tried to laminate or cover it somehow. But keep me posted =)
I would buy this

Very creative and beautiful.. do you have video where you get your card stock from
Hi Me! Ground Up Creations and 12x12 Cardstock. Links to both are in the video description. Hope that helps! :)
I love it ! It’s so beautiful!! I just bought the cricut explore air 2 would I be able to do this piece with it ?
Tiffany Ruby if you have access to design space, you can do it ❤️
I have tried and gave up lol always get message that my project is too large. Don't understand what I'm doing wrong
Hi loved ur video but i do this on my center pieces but i trace with a white tip pencil n use a heat knife its easier just a tip but love ur big images great job
Ida Dejesus what is a heat knife! Thank you for taking the time to comment. I’m going on amazon right now. Any recs?

❤️
Stuck at home so trying to make something like this
Awesome! You'll love it. And I'm here for questions.
They are beautiful.
How to do you get them to stand alone?
The foam board from the Dollar Tree really makes it sturdy and can stand propped up against something. =)
Which Crichton have u used?
What cricut do you utilize Im planning on buying one I’m an event planner
I would recommend the Maker since all new tools will be for the Maker. But just to be totally honest, my first machine was the Maker. So it's all I know. =)
You make this look so easy. I have tried to make the Off-The-Mat and mine doesn't look that good (when I put everything together) I can see my glue that seeps out that I wipe off & the lines where I piece things together. But I keep trying, maybe its a practice makes perfect for me some day.
My pieces always don’t add up either and I can see glue but we keep trying
Do you mean the hot glue to put the foam board on the back? For the project itself have you tried tape?
Hello can I use my Cricut air explorer 2? If yes what blade do I use to cut the foamy please.
You can cut 2mm foam (but not 3mm foam) with the Air Explore 2 using the knife blade or the deep blade. Generally, a knife blade will result in extremely sharp edges, but takes a long time and requires you to supervise the cut to avoid unnecessary passes that can potentially damage the mat. A deep blade will be much faster and doesn’t need supervision, but will most likely result in lower quality work. Experiment with settings and blades to find what works best for your project. For the Cricut Maker I use the rotary blade using the flex foam setting and it cuts like a dream! :)
Hello, I was wondering if the Cricut Maker itself is capable of cutting the FoamCore Board?... or is it too thick for it to handle?
Sociolgy 200 I’ve never tried. But that would require cutting the board down to size first... which defeats the purpose of a strong backing so we can prop these up. But honestly the cricut knife makes it super easy to cut the foam board. 🧡🧡🧡
How did u do this pls
Please also where can I buy this exact SVG file ?
It's from the desiner LemonCutFiles. But it looks like they have changed names cause I"m unable to look it up. HOwever this is a very popular image and is available through other designers. I would search for Little Mermaid svg.
Where can I find the files you are using? And is it expensive? Thanks!! Xoxo
Most of the files are from Etsy and are about $1-$4. But it's hard to find the same designer as they swtich up their files quite a bit. However the image is so common that you should be able to find them. =)
I love them. How much do you sell them?
You can learn about my custom orders here: www.theuselesscrafter.com/custom-orders
Is there a video on how you made the Ariel??
I don't have the one that goes with this ... but I can do it. =) How big were you thinking?
Do you send these to customers with backings on them to stand?
I do have the foam board attached and they will stand propped up against a wall or table. Any additional support would need to be done separately. =)
Where did you find keroppi svg?
I generally get all my SVGs from Etsy.
What glue did you use to put them together
I've gone from using glue to using double-sided tape, xyron tape machine, and the glue gun. When all else fails, I will use Bearly Arts Glue or Glitter Art Glue.
What printer do you use to print them?
They are not printed. They are cut from cardstock using a Cricut machine.
Can you do a tutorial on little mermaid full body with the fishtail along with Sebastian, flounder, and her father King Triton. I am doing my niece birthday in May.
Do you have a file that you can share? Let me know and I will try to help =)
@@TheUselessCrafter hello, I purchased off of Etsy? I have to read the creators policy with that and I will get back to you
Do you ship the finished props? If so can I ask how you do that/what you use?
I do! But it's a pain in the butt. =) I will sandwich the character between foam boards. Then I flattened out a big amazon delivery box and wrap it around, finishing up with packing tape. Send it through USPS for about $15-20. Lmk if you have a better method. =)
@@TheUselessCrafter Hey! ^_^ I've been trying to find jumbo shipping mailers to ship things like this in but they're all uber expensive. I remembered you said that you re-use shipping boxes to ship your cut outs. I'm not sure how you do everything but you asked to share if I find something that might work better.
Well I did some research and found this site that might help. It's a box design template editor you can edit the dimensions on and then follow to make your own custom boxes! :o
www.templatemaker.nl/en/mailer/
I figured since you're making your own anyway that a template though might work better to make your own mailers. I was thinking of using this site and maybe finding bulk bundles of regular corrugated cardboard sheets to make them out of.
Or sandwich the corrugated sheets together with the cutout and foam boards in the middle to somehow make a sturdy enough shipment.
Or maybe these boxes from Staples.
www.staples.com/36-L-x-5-W-x-30-H-Side-Loading-Boxes-32-ECT-Brown-20-Bundle-BS360530FOL/product_426440
It's an investment up front but divide the cost by the 20 boxes in the bundle it's $3.62 a box and it's already put together. It's a bit thick but if people order more than one cutout they'd fit and you can use more foam board or something as a filler to keep the cutouts protected. I think I saw in a comment somewhere that you charge $50 a cut out, so one sale will almost pay for all 20 boxes.
The Pumpkin Patch thank you for this!!!!! I try to avoid sending it because I’m worried of damage in transit. Ugh... this just makes me want to do it less and less. Lol. But seriously thank you for this!!! 💕❤️🥰
@@TheUselessCrafter No problem! ^_^ I hope it works out for you! I plan to test out the boxes from Staples as soon as I can get them :P
@@TheUselessCrafter I think I found a better solution than the Staples boxes because they're heavier and more than likely cost more to ship because of weight. I found these mailers on Amazon. They don't have the extra weight of the Staples boxes and the depth/height can but customized up to 6" I believe so one box can hold 1 or multiple off the mat projects.
Instead of the staples boxes I'm going to get these. I hope they'll do well in shipping but reinforcing the corners with packing tape and such I think they'll be fine.
They are an investment up front like the Staples boxes, and do cost more, but I think it might save on shipping prices over all.
www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KFK4SIA/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza
- $5.06 per mailer box - There are 20 in the bundle
And I'm thinking about getting these poly mailers to go over those so that they have a water/dirt/dust protection.
www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071RY6K9F/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A19R3BN6ZSO9A1&th=1
$1.80 per poly mailer - There are 25 in the bundle. There are options to buy bigger bundles to save more per poly mailer but they're not in stock yet.
What blade do you use?
Sorry for the delayed response! It's the regular blade for the Cricut Maker.
Hi, What printer do you use?
Hi! No printer used in this project. Its all cardstock!
What is the starting price for the different sizes
You can send me an email to info@bewellwithin.com for pricing info.
Thank you for this tutorial, I can't wait to start making them! For Ariel's hair did you buy multiple packs to get enough red for her hair (the pack I saw only came with two sheets) or did you find a whole pack of the red glitter cardstock somewhere. Also, what blue did you use for Smurfette? Thanks in advance
Heather Lee I can look later to see how many sheets but you should buy a pack of red for sure lol.
I don’t have smurfette anymore. But I think it’s the lighter blue from Cricut.
@@TheUselessCrafter Does it come in a pack of just red? I looked and all I could find was the glitter pack that just offered two colors of each, that would be pretty spendy if I had to buy that many packs to get the number of reds I needed for her hair.
Yes! Cricut right now has a pack of 10 sheets for $5. I would stock up on all colors. They’re great for this and for cake toppers. Plus if you follow along with my projects, I’m always using glitter cardstock. And you can use them for gift tags!!!
@@TheUselessCrafter Oh great! Thank you, I'll do that!
My foam board cutting needs some work. I get so much rough cuts.
You can always cut it a little smaller than the project. It doesn't have to go flush to the edge to support it enough to be propped up against a wall or on a cake table.
Is that an exacto knife?
Fran Seen it’s Cricut’a true knife blade (their version of an exacto knife) - I love this tool!!! ❤️
Have you done a barbie face?
I have not! I can't find a good svg to do this. My daughter watches Barbie and I think she would love it. If you find one, let me know. =)
You can make a super MARIO Pleaseeeee
Sorry I see the video 😅
I'd love to see it if you end up making it!
amazing videos, can you teach us how to make a stand for them? I am planning to make Paw Patrol themed birthday and would live to make them stand!!
None of mine stand on their own. I attach them to rigid foam board and prop them against a wall or on a party table...
How do you charge for this
Well, I charge $100 (free shipping) for a 24-30 inch character.
Have instagram????
Golden Star yes!!!! Www.instagram.com/theuselesscrafter ❤️❤️❤️
Can you do baby Minnie mouse please
Hi Jose! I will add her to the request list! :)
