Bob Canida, Jonathan Greene and Dobree Adams at Payne Hollow June 2024

Bob Canida is a longtime friend of the Hubbards, collected much of his art, He and his wife Charlotte allowed Harland to hospice at their home in Madison at the end of his life. Paul Hassfurder, the second owner of Payne Hollow, cared for Harland during that time. Paul was the second owner of Payne Hollow,, given to him by Harlan. Bob is well associated with Payne Hollow on the Ohio, the new owners, and has been over there many time in recent years. Husband and wife, Jonathan and Dobree, were dear friends as well, and published the 2nd and 3rd edition of Payne Hollow as well a the Oyo series of river themed literature that had illustrations by Harlan. They had not been to Payne Hollow since the late 80s when both Harlan and Anna passed.
