Alcohol Ink Mug Tutorial - Part 1!

- I recently started making alcohol ink mugs and I love it!! Here is how I made this purple and gold custom request! There is no sound but I did type out some points to know!

Things I used:
91% isopropyl alcohol
Tim Holtz Ranger Ink - Boysenberry
Pinata Inks - Brass and Passion Purple
Needle Tip Bottle (filled with isopropyl alcohol)
Heat Gun

How long do you sand for? I'm starting my first time and being it's ine of the first steps I don't want to mess it up in the beginning.

What would the washing instructions be? Hand wash, dishwasher?
I’ve tried To make 2 mugs and both wipe off after drying. I didn’t think to sand them. Do you think this is why??

I absolutely love this so so much!! Is there a reason why you didn’t do the color the whole way to the top?
I like the look of it mostly 😆 But with the Brite Tone you could do the inks all the way up if you wanted to!

Hot liquid yes! Not microwave safe though!

@@mommamoecreations8511 Just wanted to make sure. Another question, how do you spray paint it evenly. I tried one yesterday and I got drips 😞 And the lip of the cup has paint on it now too? 🙃
@@nikisnoggin8784 spray farther back and light coats! That should help with drips 🤗 You can wipe the lip down with acetone - that will take the spray paint off no problem ☺️
What is the name of its color? For example is it acrylic color or oil color or any others types of color please reply me
It’s alcohol inks!
After washing will the color go away? Please someone tell me
If you just rinse with water or soap solution the colors won't go however don't scrub them.
Can you tell me what kind of ink you are using ? Asking for my wife
I use Ranger and Pinata brand Alcohol Inks!
