  • Did not notice a big improvement in breaking, but it likely gave a little extra bite. Make sure you have HH pads first (EBC better than OEM) then if you have farkle money left over go for the braided lines. But don't expect a huge performance bang for the buck.
    Edit: I've found the single biggest braking upgrade available is to add 4-piston calipers. In hindsight I would do this before changing lines or pads. See SVracingparts.com for adapter brackets and a list of calipers that fit. And also buy a used early-model V-Strom master cylinder to go with the calipers. The early models (both 650 and 1000) had a 5/8" master cylinder instead of the 14mm one that comes on the newer bikes.
