I like Dynamax. I think when you compare to other super Cs in this specification I think they do a better job. However, I prefer their Europa. I walked through one of those last year, so nice. Congratulations on your new RV.
Thank you. I originally had the Europa as the 1st spot because I wanted a shorter RV but couldn't get over the base level freightliner. They have the better M2-106 compared to the S2RV like the competitors but at the end of the day the dash and the steering wheel had no current controls, no cruise on the steering wheel, no adaptive cruise, no lane keeping assist, etc and most importantly for me no 4x4. Also the front suspension is not air suspension. They need the air seats to compensate. I forgot to mention that I did not like the weight to HP ratio. If it had the larger ISL or Detroit in it, I may have opted for it and forget about the 4x4. Again just my opinion.
Yes it does. I think it would be best on the cabinet above the sink and have the same storage behind the TV. It can be done. That's how they have it on their Europa 31ss model so not sure why they have it like this in the isata 5.
Great review, thanks, hope you do a driving video with talking/opinion about comfort level, noise levels, power levels. I’m considering this same unit but no dealer writhing 2000 kilometres in Canada to test :( . Thanks for your vids, ( New subscriber)
Yes good idea. I have it partially done, but don't have time to complete it right now. I'm hoping to get it up within the next couple of weeks if my schedule allows. I really wanted to get it done sooner for other people researching because I look for the same thing. You can email me with any specific questions if you need some answers for your research. Email address is in the about section.
Great overview and comments on issues. Since you introduced us to your new rig a few weeks ago, I have been looking closer at the Dynamax line. I will be following your video with great interest to find out all I can about Dynamax RV's. As I said before, this is one of the only manufacturers I'd even consider that are coming out of Elkhart county Indiana. But I was concerned to find out that they are now owned by Forest River though. Do you think that the construction, fit and finish, is better than Winnebago? For us, the 28SS with the Xplorer package would be a better fit though, since it just the two of us. These are definitely a step up from the Winnie N/V rigs both in capability and cost. But from what I'm finding out, the cost is more than offset by the capability. I hope. As I said, I will be following your videos with great interest.
Hi Mark, the overall construction is much stronger than the Winnebago as well as much better insulation. The fit and finish is about the same, maybe slightly better, but definitely uses better/heavier duty construction material. In my opinion, you get more value than the Winnebago either though the cost is higher. I wouldn't worry about it being owned by FR. Newmar was bought by Winnebago several years ago but run independently. Dynamax runs as an independent as well. Almost all the RV manufacturers are owned by larger companies. The 28ss would have been my preference if the living area was larger. Hope that helps.
Forgot to mention if you do like the Ford Chassis better, you can look at the Renegade Veracruz. They didn't have the right floorplans for me, so they didn't make the short list.
@@rvlifediy Thanks, I'll check them out. I've also looked at the Nexus line and Thor Magnitude super C's but I still think the Dynamax would be better for us. BTW, I only considered the Thor because it's a higher end product and am hoping it would be better than their lower end stuff.
@volofly2011 the build quality on the Thor was a disappointment for me. Overall everything in the Thor seemed lesser quality to me. Just my opnionion. Their roofs are even thinner. Same opinion on the Nexus. The Dynamax does needs some improvements for sure as well.
Man please do videos on the drive quality, and maybe how it is for passengers in the rear while driving. It would help everyone a lot I’m sure, as well as get you views if your looking for that. A lot of ppl get one, do a video at the camp ground but don’t show anything on the way there or the drive quality which is the whole point of the motorhome. If not you would get a rv.
Yes I agree, and that is a great suggestion. I feel the same when I'm researching. I'll have to get motivated to do that soon and get some type of camera mount.
Yes it would and that's definitely a free quick solution and good suggestion. You would still have to scoot the cushion towards the head side and flip up the mattress. Prior to being in the slide. Might be a little struggle to do without 2 people. I will likely come up with an automatic solution sometime in the future but lower on my priority. Thanks for the suggestion.
MSRP is 298,000 for this one with all the options. They have less expensive options as well. Also pretty good discounts from MSRP if you can find one in stock.
Is this another RV with no A/C or heat in the bathroom? Not sure why manufacturers believe we all camp in 70 degree weather all the time. It's either and ice box or a sauna in our outings. Makes no sense to me.
Funny you mention that. This one does have AC and heat in the bathroom, but the the propane heat works terrible (un-usable the way it is from the factory). I have a video of the cause and how I repaired it set for next Sunday. In the video, I do mention that they can get away with it because many people use them for a short time/aka camping and rough it out.
Already had a huge diesel pusher for 11 years, and not interested in going back to one at this time. Maybe in the future. Not sure how a Tiffin would make it better.
Wow, beautiful and spacious! I am so envious of the bathroom 😍
Yes loving the bathroom. You can do jumping jacks in there.
@@rvlifediy 😂😂
Yes, I see where you are going with this - fuse the 2 together, and it would be the perfect RV. The perfect name, " Fuse " or "Unite". Great videos.
👍
Thank you so much
Congratulations !
Thank you
A good thorough review! ☺
Thank you.

@@rvlifediy you make a valid point on the Europa - no cruise control or air suspension is definitely a must!
The tv looks like an afterthought. Like most everything else.
Yes it does. I think it would be best on the cabinet above the sink and have the same storage behind the TV. It can be done. That's how they have it on their Europa 31ss model so not sure why they have it like this in the isata 5.

@@rvlifediy Thanks for response and look forward to the video, then I may ask questions, your vids are very informative and you have honest opinions.
@Kingswood97 I'll work on that video. It will likely be 2-3 weeks.

Until they change the TV placement I would probably put a projector screen above the sink
That would be a quick solution

If you flip the mattress around will it give you more ability to use the bed in transit?

I'm actually considering this unit but this is my concern... I need a shorter unit with a bed I can use while in motion
@c.gar.5314 the 28ss floorplan has a permanent bed that is always accessible. The sacrifice is the smaller living area and smaller bathroom
What’s the price for this? Thanks

Why did you buy it if you are complaining so much, get a huge tiffin!
