Thank you for this video. I just took apart my 1973 350 four and had exactly the same issue with the cam chain tensioner. And successfully applied the exact same remedy
Good to hear! It seems to be the only thing that really mechanically went wrong in these.
Great video, well detailed and explained. I'm about to re-assemble mine, cheers.
Enjoy it! I love my cb350/400F
Great video!!!
Thank you!!
Awesome video, helped me restore mine and won a local bike show with it! I made a quick ride video of it as well. Thanks so much!!!
Thanks! I'll check it out. I have been really enjoying mine this fall. Just picked up a 1971 cb350 also I need to film. Seems something went horribly wrong in the electric starter gear train
i just bought one in a parts box feller was going to rering it 15 years ago thanks for video
Good luck! I have some spares if some little part is missing that you cant find. Let me know.
Good video.waiting for part. 2-3-..................
Thank you, I have most of the filming done, and just need to do some editing. I hope to have an episode up midweek.
Wow a 350cc inline 4??? Are those things rare? That's soo cool and I bet it makes an amazing sound!
Yep, tiny pistons. I would not say they are rare exactly as much as just uncommon anymore. Mine or the ones i built are generally the only i see in my area. The 400f which is the same engine but with bigger bore and a 6 speed transmissions are significantly more rare though. Yes, i love how they sound, lots of fun around town and on back roads.
I wanna attempt trying this on my own with ALL Genuine parts but was wondering how much would you charge if I shipped my '74 to you? Excellent video ALL Parts ! I'm Rob from North Carolina.
Unfortunately right now i am not doing any outside work, right now we have about a 2 year back log.
hey thanks for your reply man! no problem. your videos are detailed enough that ill try it . just have to get the parts ordered through honda if they haven't been discontinued.
@@cartoonist1975 many of them have, but 4into1 .com is a great resource i use a lot.
Perfect ! I didn't wanna keep flooding you with questions.
@@cartoonist1975 No worries! sorry i missed your first post.

@@DeWoodysShop thanks appreciate that . keep up the good work on your channel
Nice work. Earlier this year, I completed a full restoration on a '74 CB350F (ua-cam.com/video/K4c2eWrPo10/v-deo.html) myself. I didn't have to get into the bottom end, but I did snag a shot of one of the pistons with a quarter (coin) centered on top just to show how tiny these cylinders really are. Since you were down to the bare cases, I was wondering if you thought about checking the crank bearing clearances using plastiguage? Just curious.
I actually did check them, it was just not on camera. And i think i showed checking bearings in one of my other videos. Also like most cb350f it had almost no miles on it anyway and the bearings pretty much looked new.
