Thanks Darren for sharing a great video! Lots of good tips on restoration and your logic on decisions as to how to proceed. I have a HT-40 and SX-140 that was given to me years ago. I have gone thru the 140 with repairs even tho I didnt clean up as well as you did. The receiver is like you said, not a stellar performer but I can see how a novice could have enjoyed it back in the day. Next up for me is the HT-40, Im looking forward to finishing this series along with Part 3 with ur HT-140. Thanks again for taking the time to share ur expertise and knowledge with restoring these old gems! Take Care-Larry W4PJP
Great commentary on the restore process. I've just acquired a SX-140 and will be opening it up but my skill level is nowhere high enough to do a restoration. If it looks as promising inside as it does outside I may find someone to take care of it for me. Again well done!
Dear Mr.Darren, health and peace! I need the 2 FI L2 and L3 coils (1650Khz) of this SX-140 model, as one of these appeared for repair with them completely damaged in the ferrites and missing the internal caps. Even if you can't help me, I'm still grateful! Warm regards from PY2SNN.

I like the additional challenge of the radio spinning around on the lazysusan as you work on it. 👍
