Marco Hietala, one of the most versatile and talented singers in the industry, oh and not the lead singer of the band he's in. Delain are truly a great band, the tight group of Epica, Delain, Nightwish and Within Temptation, all from around the same region, all during the same period, could so easily by tense and instead its respectful. Lessons for life, it's not competition, it's inspiration.
And the female singer are all dutch.
This was in days before Charlotte really started with those big belts. These fests are basically a big networking events and time to meet friends. Marco was with Delain from the beginnig as he provided bass tracks and vocals for the album. For the tour, the bass guitarist was Epica´s current bassist. For the studio album, drums were played by Epica´s current drummer and a guitar by their previous guitarist. Other two featured singers were Sharon from Within Temptation and Liv Kristine from Leaves´ Eyes. So yes, there are many connections. :-) Have a good night or a day.

Here in Finland... We have this metal festival called Tuska, and it is most peaceful festival in this country.. 0-1 times police is needed there. Once even the cops said "why are we here, nothing bad happened" 😂

I think there is video out there of Marco and After Forever Era Floor on stage together somewhere, pretty much the first time they sang together. If I recall properly, it was just before After Forever went on tour with Nightwishin in '03....
There's also video of Marco and Revamp Era Floor with Delain, and Marco featured in an After Forever song in '05...

The level of camaraderie among many of the bands is really heart-warming, yeah. Kamelot is another band that seems to have a lot of friends.
How good does Marco have it?? Sings with Floor and duets with all the women of this metal scene and sounds great with each and everyone of them. Love Charlotte (another of those Dutch singing goddesses) and Delain. They are a great band who need more exposure and love here on YT. The metal community, at least the symphonic one is very tight and they often are involved in each others studio work and often jump in LIVE especially at these open air festivals and they are always welcomed and sound great when they do!! Great reaction as always and this tune will roll around in your head for a while as it is that catchy!!!
Marko has featured Delain many times. Love this one. They really have a lot of fan. "Nothing left" is a nice one too. I recommended Gathering to a reactor pair just before I noticed this reation. The female guitarist is cute!

She left Delain not long after this festival. But they did part on good terms. Mostly because she had too many projects going on with her own music and the band MaYaN that she was also in. Still is as far as I know but they have a lot of commitments since most of them are from other bands as well so they have to work around their schedules.
Love Delain!!! ❤ Seen them three times and next year will be the 4th time. This band is live very awesome! Of course this super great band is also Dutch like Epica 🇳🇱🤘🏻

You should check out Hevisaurus (metal band for children). They did a song called "100" with some special guests from bands like "Nightwish" "Megadeth" "Stratovarius" "Wintersun" "Sonata Arctica" "Children of Bodom" "Arion" just to name a few.
Kids need metal music too, not just traditional childrens songs. 🤘🦖🇫🇮🤘
While mentioning children, also a Nightwish cover of "Walking in the Air " from a animated childrens movie "Snowman" (1982) is aslo worth checking out.

Speaking of singer, I noticed the stage name as Ronnie James Dio when Marko and Delain singing on.....RJD epitomized singing of Metal from his days of Black Sabbath when he replaced Ozzy and his own band, Dio before his death in 2010. RJD has been singing since the days of Doo Wop (50's) to current music in 2010 before his death. Heaven & Hell with Black Sabbath plus Last in Line with his band, Dio. RJD was in another band called Rainbow with Deep Purple's Ritchie Blackmore.

So glad you did this song guys. Was gonna suggest it myself a little while ago. I found the song thru UA-cam suggestions a few weeks ago and loved the vocal harmonies during the chorus and the backing keyboard effects. In fact, I recommended this song to your buddy Sonny von Cleveland during a Livestream a while back and he played it and they too enjoyed it very much.
On a side note, did ya notice the female guitarist? I understand she came into the band fairly recent as a permanent additional guitar. (Single to dual guitars) She had apparently started her own band prior to that and had put out one album, but then had to dissolve the band because of her new gig with Delain.
I find it funny, but she reminds me of my cousin a bit. Facial feature wise, but not so much the hair, although I think my cousin did have similar hair before. I used to joke that everytime I'd see her she'd have a different hair style and color. 😆
Guitarist Merel Bechtold left again in 2019 and has started a new band called "Dear Mother". They have an album coming out in the near future.

This song is like a big party! When you see them in a live show and this song begins, it drives audience absolute crazy in just one second. It has this kind of energy that you inmediatly need to start jumping!

I met Delain a few years ago. They were performing as a four piece since their keyboardist was having issues with his visa. They hadn't added the female guitarist yet (and she has since left the band). Delain was playing with Eklipse and headliners Kamelot. It was a great show. When I met Charlotte, she was in a hoody and sweats. I apologized if I was sweaty and stinky, but she laughed and put her arm around me for a photo. The guys in the band were really cool, too, and I talked with the bass player about playing a five-string bass. I'd happily see Delain again.
