This is Ryle Nugent so it was probably an Irish broadcaster that this is from. I'm nearly sure they did something similar at this world cup, virtually no crowd noise, we just had to believe people when they told us the atmosphere was amazing!

The bumper crowds are possible because of New Zealand’s relative success in combating Covid-19, having appeared to have stamped out community transmission of the coronavirus earlier this year following a tough nationwide lockdown.
Rewatching the game confirmed to me that Stander should have been red carded and OF yellow carded for the second half incident. OF was in the wrong, but Stander responded by trying to beat OF up. It should not matter whether the blow was with a closed fist or an open hand both are designed to inflict injury and should be eradicated from rugby
@Joseph13 I was taught many many years ago, by an international coach (and no I was not that good, he just happened to be the sports master at my school) that no matter what you do, you do not retaliate, you do not strike your opponent because you give the ref the opportunity to make it about you. Stander should have simply shaken his leg a bit and appealed to the ref with his arms wide out.
Justin Stephenson Stop talking rubbish. Stander used an open palm to try and get him off which was the only way. Itoje should’ve been yellow carded for deliberately holding down two Irish players and pulling ones shirt off.
@@eoinh3816 OK, get a real strong 18 stone guy and have him use an open hand with as much force as he can (and Stander was upright, OF was on the ground so that makes it worse) on your ribs - I am sure it will not cause you any hurt or injury! No matter how you try and spin it, Stander lost control, he committed a violent conduct offence repeatedly and was clearly retaliating...IMO that makes it a red card. Violent conduct on its own is a yellow, the combination of retaliation and repeated strikes to a player who was not fighting back upgrades it to a red. IMO the ref wimped out twice over by not red carding Stander and, probably as a consequence, not yellow carding OF.
It's now early 2024, this match was just a few years ago. How did Ireland ever get the notion that they were in fact so good? They look terrible here. Was this a quarter-final?
England didnt contest breakdown - Ireland didnt spot and pick and drive as they should. Left 3 Irish in ruck with 1 English man and 14 flying up in defence
What on earth was the referee looking at in the scrums? Ireland consistently put the ball in just in front of the back rows feet, it is never near the tunnel at all...

why is the game noise turned down in favour of the terrible commentary?
Idk

No game sounds / ref sounds really takes away from the match
Would have liked to hear the ref.
with the game sound being lower than commentary i feel like im watching a golf game…
:D

jack cooney definitely a card
Could you guys do some u20 matches also
There was no replay of any game last saturday!!
can anyone remember a try being awarded without a 5 minuted replay delay ?
A real advert for why the new interpretation of the tackle zone was needed.
In retrospect wrt the 2023 WC, where did this ordinary Irish team eventually originate from to become somewhat of competitors?

He can't speak in a normal voice. Everything is hyped up. It doesn't add to the excitement, it just becomes tedious.
