Here is my visit to the construction renovation site of the Salt Lake Temple in Utah. It is in the midst of a 4 year renovation including earthquake isolators to strengthen the foundation. Other renovations include refurbishing exteriors of the temple.
The Salt Lake Temple is a temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) on Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. At 253,015 square feet (23,505.9 m2), it is the largest LDS temple by floor area. Dedicated in 1893, it is the sixth temple completed by the church, requiring 40 years to complete, and the fourth temple built since the Mormon exodus from Nauvoo, Illinois, in 1846. On April 19, 2019 the LDS Church announced that the temple would close on December 29, 2019 for a general remodel and seismic renovations that are anticipated to take approximately four years.

wow . do you suppose they had equipment like this to build original structure in late 1800's? i would love to see them do all this work with horse and carts like they claim.
so if they ( the mormons ) want me to believe the history of this building , repair it using period tools. this story is just like the moon landing farse . the( nasa) claim they could go to the moon and back in 1969 with less tech than a 1990s cell phone computing power and safely back but today ," NOOOO we can't replicate the tech we had back then and we deliberately destroyed it to make room for junk after the apollo missions. " do the repairs like it was originally constructed or stand like the liars you are. you found that building you didn't build it.

How many levels are there underground? Looks like a flood buried the building at one time.

Most old world construction was based off of angelic intelligence design, beyond our understanding today, is still standing and probably better that today's construction.
Definitely a mudflood building. Look at that door and block 30 fe under the surface.

Are you still in Utah? If so, you missed the earthquake early this morning in L.A. Even the t.v. news anchors felt it while on air.
As the Temple is being renovated to remove old debris, I must remove evil things in my life to qualify for exaltation.

I really hope you are still alive living in Salt Lake City whenever a big massive earthquake hits you will see buildings crumble all around this great magnificent building. The Lord's House will not fall, I will promise you that! Again I really hope you're in Salt Lake when this happens! Then prepare yourself for another devastating plague. I hope your alive but if not, too bad so sad. I can tell you have no faith, that's scary!

I think it's made of granite. I thought I heard there was a quarry somewhere in proximity. It's unusually large for a temple. I've only visited temple square. But it's an unusually large edifice. F.W.I.W.

This Magnificent structure was built by the pioneers of the time that laid the Stone for all to enjoy one day. A lot of this Stone come in the wagons and the ox pulled from the Rock Quarry. Then later train cars without a modern day crane. You can only build something like this with perfection in mine with a lot of hard work, tears, sweat and few blood stains just like the pyramids. Then these humble Souls put there Touch of Beauty inside and out. The inside of the Lord's House it's breathtaking. I hope everyone that will see this building as a eye sore, may get to walk inside before it is dedicated to the Lord. I will promise you if you are brave enough to go inside this building, you will know with no doubt it is the Lord's House! You will feel tears of joy!

I have been wondering how things were going on the Salt Lake Temple. It is certainly amazing what they are doing. It took them 40 years to build it. It's going to have to withstand one of the great earthquakes in the days to come in Utah and the surrounding states. Great job guys. It must stand when our Lord Jesus Christ comes in his glory so he can enter the holy temple. Who knows except for a few , the Lord could be entering the Temple Daily.

Moroni was on the one spire, but didn't the other 5 spires have huge, ornate light fixtures with 8 large light bulbs each?

Ironically an earthquake dislocated the trumpet from Moroni. So are all the temples having Moroni removed?

The trumpet has been sounding for over 100 years. Just like it talks about in Revelation. My question is, if you have not been hearing the trumpets sound for a lot of years, what's the problem in your life. One day when you see the trumpet at Moroni's feet, then you can expect the Lord's arrival at any time.

It's going to take another 3 years from what I've heard. Better than the 40 years it originally took. I wonder what the 40 costs would be in today's dollars. I'm guessing from what I know about construction it will probably cost at least 50m to Finnish. I'm happy to make contributions to that.

The Mormon church has over $ 100 billion in cash ... it has already spent $ 1.5 billion to build a luxury mall, the City Creek Center. Mormon Church profits more than 5 billion dollars a year ..... they have a lot of money, they are able to drain the financial resources of families in different countries, including poor countries, from poor families.
Humanitarian aid is only a few tens of millions of dollars a year, just to maintain tax-exempt status.

my pioneer ancestors knew what they were doing when they built it now todays crews are making it stronger so it can last another 150 years or longer.

Abraham paid tithes in the Old Testament to Melkizedek (the King of Salem). A portion of his riches, increase, flocks, or whatever the Lord blessed him with. The Lord does not change. He says that repeatedly. Those who love him and his word chose to live by his commands. All of them. It’s a part of our faith. The Lord prospers those who obey him. The temple in Salt Lake City was built by the Saints who sacrificed greatly and its a magnificent edifice considering it was done by hand and beasts of burden. It took 40 years. The Lord commanded it and his people did it. It’s unbelievable what they accomplished from nothing. Another point I would like to make. Why would you be getting upset about a religion (or church) you don’t believe in or belong to practicing any particular thing? Because it happens to involve money? All of the money and everything that exists on this earth belongs to the Lord. We wouldn’t be here or have breath without him. So what right do any of us have to covet or judge anybody else or their right to worship a way that they believe in that brings them joy, makes them a better person and close to God?
@@aprilgriffin7126 I have studied the real bible where Jesus is savior and I have tried to read the book of mormon where Jesus is just a prophet but its all lies. You cant change my mind. Trust me I do NOT covet any mormon garbage. It involves stealing money by using fear as the means. I am upset with mormonism because like I said before my whole family is mormon and tithed/ billed to poorness and I know they are all poor. Smart hard working people too. but poor. The bible says many will come in his name to deceive. Mormonism is based off the first lie recorded in the bible "you too can be like God". And mormons don't even know their origin, weather the tablets came from moroni or the white salamander. You see Jesus offers salvation through belief in him and him alone, That to me is a no brainer.
@calubenstein I am sorry that you are disturbed by the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. It has has brought joy, hope and solace to millions and all of them gladly give at least 10% to the building up of His kingdom on the earth. It has never caused anyone to become poor, although many of the early Saints did give ‘all’. Even their lives. They did it happily, just as Stephen, and the early apostles and our Savior did for us. The Book of Mormon is another Testament of Jesus Christ and if you were to read it you would see that it has the voice and teachings of the same Jesus as in the Holy Bible. I would never try to change your mind. Only Christ can change us. But I testify that he loves us and he died for us, he lives and his church is on the earth today.

Wasn't this building supposed to last through the millennium? I know they did major renovations about 30 years ago, and now they are shoring up the foundation. This must cost hundreds of millions, if not billions of dollars. Sounds like the original design couldn't last the 1,000 years it was originally said to.
And I don't want somebody saying this is part of the lords plan. Just stop with justifying your blind faith. It was said to last at least 1,000 years and it hasn't.
I do think it should be perserved for it's historic value and content, but this is another piece of evidence that morminism is a farce.
