Hello I have a sailing yacht. With a lead keel dose it need to be bonded To the Anode . And is it best to link the engine to the prop shaft because the anode on the prop not lasting long thanks john
General advice here John, all boats are individual. However, generally do not bond a keel - it must be 100% electrically isolated. No anodes either - reliance on excellent epoxy coatings is best practice. Rapid anode consumption on the prop could be an indication of an onboard stray current or no galvanic isolation on the shore power. There could also be bonding to the prop that the anode is too small to protect. Either way, would be best to get more specific info to the professionals!
