  • Step into the mystical world of Kurma Gram, a 200-year-old Vedic village in India where ancient traditions and self-sustainability thrive. In this unique community, life operates on a barter system-no money, just pure cooperation and shared responsibilities. The village is led by a revered Guru who assigns daily tasks, from organic farming to self-cooking, creating a harmonious way of life that reconnects with nature. At the heart of Kurma Gram is its devotion to Shri Krishna and Radha Devi, with ISKCON temples serving as spiritual centers. Experience the revival of Indian culture, where every aspect of life-farming, cooking, and work distribution-is deeply rooted in the Vedic way. Journey back in time and discover how Kurma Gram embodies true sustainability, organic living, and divine devotion in this rare glimpse into an ancient, moneyless society
Welcome to Kurmagram, a 60-acre farm community situated near Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, committed to reviving the Vedic way of life. Created in 2018 by the Nanda Gokulam Goshala Trust and guided by the teachings of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Kurmagram follows the spiritual direction of His Holiness Bhakti Vikasa Swami Maharaj.
Kurmagram is not just a village-it’s a shining example of eco-conscious living. The residents have chosen a lifestyle free from electricity and modern materials like cement, relying instead on sustainable, natural farming. In doing so, they address today’s global problems such as environmental degradation, climate crisis, and job scarcity. By returning to a simple, nature-centered way of life, Kurmagram demonstrates how traditional wisdom can meet modern challenges head-on.
This community also provides vocational training, youth engagement programs, and cultural preservation initiatives, all contributing to the holistic development of its people. Could Kurmagram's way of life be a blueprint for the future of eco-friendly living? Discover it for yourself!
