Children are fenced or housed in all the time Hugh to keep them safe from traffic all around the world, how is this any different? Especially with heavy trucks right at their doorstep. Plus with 2 other children under the age of 3 living there it is a great relief to the family. They can go about their daily chores without having to be continually watching them. No different than the big fences around children's day care centers. Also, it isn't just a fence that we're providing.. this is just the start. Keeping him safe.

Todd, you have brought together a team of many, in all shapes and wonders. You are a man of mystery, an Australian man, that doesn't fit the description of the caring human being that you are or became. I say this in great spirit as not many Aussie blokes have what you possess, so many happy people benefitting from your travels. Great respect.
Congratulations to all for helping these people, wonderful work. So many beautiful people helping where they can. Glasses for the old ladies, the smiles tell it all.
Todd, by far the best montage of black and white photos. Sorry that I didn't catch the episode earlier, but life happens and whatnot. You all are doing a charitable and kind thing for this young boy, I hope to see him get the therapy he needs so he can someday be independent. Thanks again, Todd.
All of you guys who are there are a God send. To be there out of the kindness of your heart. You guys are amazing . May you blessed with Good Health and Good Fortune to carry on this very important mission. Thank you so much Todd for bringing us along. All the best mate 🙏🙏 Jim and Harriet
Todd, you are a champion, the help that you are able to provide to these mountain villagers is incredible. Do they have a school in the village that these children can go to? Is there anything that can be done to assist the disabled girls that were in the video?
Appreciate you and the team Todd. I lived 5 years in Thailand and this past year I lived in Laos. I've been on teams who helped install a water system and other projects in northern Thailand close to Kunming. People giving advice or criticisms about what needs to be done, may be sincere, but because they've never been to these areas, there is so very much they don't understand about people's circumstances, resources and, as importantly, their culture. Things that seem obvious are often not an option at all. What would make sense or would be possible in some middle class suburb is not at all possible in many of these places. And that's just in regards to resources and logistics - when you add in cultural factors it gets even more complex. You know what you're doing better than people a world away with no real understanding. Just stay the course mate. You're in a different league than the self appointed critics.
Thank you. What you wrote is very true. I was on the team. I assume that the pluses and minuses of living in Lao has balanced out to be positive for you. It has for me.
Todd, you did it again! Sitting here with tears rolling down my face. My prayers, and I am sure many other peoples prayers are being answered. What a great team you have assembled who together have come up trumps and sorted out protection for this boy. In addition, it appears that not only him but other children in the village are going to get free therapy for their disabilities! Words alone cannot express how I feel and how blessed this village is to have you as their friend. The photography at he end was some of the best ever! God bless you and all those involved in this excellent project. 😀❤🙏
It's so amazing how one scene in one video created the spark to transform all of these lives! I sponsor the education cost for a young Hmong man in Laos and in January his 2 year old cousin was crushed to death on the road by one of the big trucks. These roads are wickedly dangerous for children and they are safer behind fencing. One thing I've learned from traveling is not to judge others through my Western values and eyes. Congratulations and thanks for the good work you are doing and for bringing us along. ❤
Great job Todd, bloody awesome for Aussies to contribute towards making life better for locals in the country's that we choose to retire in. A true legend ambassador mate! Good onya, not much of a donation, should buy a First Aid kit though. Cheers Simon
Thanks Todd Great video . Probably the most footage time Ive seen,of our little mate . The little girl , that has a disability is lovely also. Can’t wait to see the completed enclosure.. Kenno
Yes that is great news. Yes, you can take a lot off credit for all the other's helping . You and your family. And off cause all them helpers are legend's thankyou for what you do for so many
Easy to be a critic. You and friends are trying to help these families. With this family it's a lot about the disability. And location. Yes he has been lucky so far. But only one truck loaded and not paying attention 😕😕. It's over. Do your best now. Awesome start with Grandma making decisions. Great b&w's. Along with other's receiving help.
you do amazing work, Todd you say it not just you that may be true but without you most of us would not know about this and could not help so you are just as much a part of this amazing work well done mate just think how much better the world would be if everyone helped the less fortunate like this
That's great work for others no doubt, so well done to all of you, but the kid's gonna bust out, and you that's says a great deal about us humans, what if all of us applied ourselves like him, don't think I could, PEACE!!!
His grandmother is his main carer but even she has to work the fields. No mother, and his father has addiction problems. His uncle who lives there also has 2 children under the age of 3, is the local school teacher. His aunty, barely 15, was the girl lighting the fire and cooking.
That young lad is well grounded and is street wise, more than anyone thinks, he will either climb over the fence and probably cut himself or dig under it mate.. I know it is a wonderful thing you guys are doing, but damn mate, don't you think new cooking pots and blankets-bedding would of been more appreciated.
No.. I don't. This is what the grandmother asked for to help save him from losing his life playing on the road, she could've asked for pots, but didn't. If you weren't so focused on finding something negative to say, and listened, you would've learned it isn't the only way we're helping him and the other children of this village. Focusing only on negativity is good for nobody Jonathon. Apologies to anybody thinking this reply is a little harsh, but when you continually receive comments from the same person who only comment negativity.. it just gets a bit much. There is so much more to life than trying to bring others down.

cant somebody be assigned to making sure hes safe on his adventures, he's not an animal that has to be fenced in
