Doesn't Kearsarge inflict a special burn on everything with her airstrike as well? Kear airstrike + Pitts 10s barrage right before your BBs fire sounds like a heck of a wombo.
Many things sound good on paper, but in practice its a different story. Its not that Pitt (or any other SR for what matter) cant compete, the problem shes having to do it against the hordes of URs in the game. Sure she might be able to put a nice combo together, but what point is it, when you can just throw a UR in her spot and do straight up more damage than it, or much more utility? If that makes sense. That is the current issue with the game. Esp those like me that only care about the top 1% and don't collect.
they really need to speed up DR Fate Sims. If they keep giving us 1 DR Fate Sime Per Year but give us 2 DR per Year i see a Problem. At the current speed Nakimov and Napoli would get their Fate Sims in 5 and 6 years Agir this year Ply next year brest in 2 years Hindenburg in 3 years Kears in 4 years Napoli in 5 years and finally Nakimov in 6 years

This event will be ok. It's the best we can get without a new UR ship in gacha. The prizes they're handing are pretty great, and there's a lot of skins, and free cubes. And there's free stuff in mail too. For those in EN servers is the best event so far IMO. I never expected an UR retrofit, but the rest was pretty much epic, maybe it'll only be smaller than the JP event.
JPs anniversary is the next UR event, correct? I keep forgetting how the anniversarys happen. I do know we usually have the CN anniversary very early in the year. We should be getting 2 more URs this year unless they do the 2 URs per event. One gacha and one "free."
call me crazy, but i'm calling it here 1 day USS Indiana will get a UR Retrofit to upgrade her to the BBV type that she was later retrofit into as a test bed for aviation BB's in the US fleet
Idk why but I have a feeling the JP anniversary will feature the first Type II Sakura girl, with how the story is currently going and I'm feeling it's either Amagi or Zuikaku considering how much both have been the center subject for the past few events
Pretty sure the IIs won't apply to the Sakura girls. The IJN didn't manage to build ships with the same name as a ship that was sunk during WWII. There may be some but they will come when Azur Lane get to the Post WWII ships
@@SenkanYamato39 we got bismarck zwei so i won't be surprised. actually, playing through the event, masked amagi seems to be a corrupted spectre of amagi tied in with the "illusion" from the past event. They could definitely push for that option. It somewhat makes sense in the story given how much amagi is being given so much screentime in the past events. I also think that it'll be a good way to reunite the sakura empire and calm down the crazed Akagi who seems to be doing exactly what she did in the anime. 😅
@@SenkanYamato39 However, the Amagi we have in game is the Amagi-Class Battlecruiser Amagi, the one that was never finished because of the Washington Naval Treaty and significant damage from an Earthquake. Japan did however later build the Unryu-Class Aircraft Carrier Amagi, which we could absolutely get as Amagi II. She didn't really do anything before being destroyed, but that isn't exactly an obstacle for Azur Lane.
Amagi makes more sense. It's very similar to Yorktown 2 and Bismarck Zwei in the sense that they use it as some sort of plot armor to revive dying/dead ships in the story. Zuikaku, very unlikely as she's just a whistleblower. As soon as Mikasa, Musashi, and Nagato got involved, they pretty much took over. I haven't seen Zuikaku at all in the event.
Just to point out Eldridge's AoA was also upgraded, considering she was the original broken AoA thats pretty good Also can confirm Pittsburgh is Medium armor
Pittsburgh should work well with Alsace and Fargo 8% buff should be good on both CV and BB IMO (work best on Kearsarge since she can benefit from both).

at least this year ship lineup is actually useful. I'm still seething from last year treatment of EN anniv ship lineup which skills are already outdated by 3 years.
I wonder if Pittsburgh’s info has her armor mistranslated. Kinda doesn’t make sense to make her light armor. I wonder what the new UR will be. I’m hoping for Amagi-Ni (II), the Unryū-class carrier. I suppose a destroyer or cruiser is possible (would be hilarious if we finally got Tone, though I think a light cruiser would be more likely since the Sakura have no UR CLs in the game. Maybe Kitakami or Ōyodo).
i been using eldridge for ops since the start, perfect to cheese those boss does heavy dmg to vanguard on auto. There are tones of vanguard does more dmg but i just kept her in the boss fleet cos im lazy. So happy shes getting a retrofit!
The sub bought 2 big somethings.....lmao I think Pittsburgh is worth more. Not too many decent vanguard ships buff the flagship. I think with her sisters that can be a pretty deadly combo. Have to look it up but having NJ in the other fleet, the have Pittsburgh and Baltimore with York2, Essex, Enty, that's a whole ton of buffs that don't over lap.
Its been over a year since new map drop gear, kinds wish there was sometbing here, maybe a gold 76mm, or a Mousetrap ASW rocket, just SOMETHING. Heres hoping JP anniv gets something.

It just goes to show you how the power creep they did with the UR ships pretty much destroyed the balance of the game. Before you used to have hidden gems in the lower class ships , but now when was the last time you saw a new comman or rare ship? They pretty much made the game 2 tiers (UR and SR) with elite taking over the lower tiers and everying in it is trash. It also goes to show how much the URs and DRs outclasing the SRs. We have 2 good vang SR ships but what will you ditch to use them? Pitzberg you can probabbly squeze to buff a UR BB but Fargo? Its actually pretty good ship but it cant compare. Those ships are pretty much to use them 1 time until you level them to 120 and never use them again.
I think Fargo would have see some use. If the hitbox for her cargo package heal is big she could be sandwiched between Hindenburg and Unzen in Opsi mob constantly healing both since they both wasn't the tankiest in their class.
A simple question for you ALM: Which nation do you think will get the UR event for the JP 7th Anniversary? And what ship do you think will be the UR for that nation?
My guess is Sakura Empire for the nation & Yamato for the UR. For another nation that isn't SE, I'd stay Royal Navy for the nation and Indefatigable for the UR.
@@liladoodle Agree on IJN, but I think it will be a CL. We only have 2 UR CL's in the game currently. 1 is a DR ship then other is a Retrofit. None are from events. Were already pretty top heavy in the main fleet on UR's. Not to mention we already have 2 Yamato-class ships in the game already. IF we do get Yamato herself, its going to be a long time. We only have 1 Iowa-class in the game. I would expect we would get Iowa/Missouri before Yamato. Amagi II has also been teased. That could be next UR as well.

Hard pass looks like. Fargo is just a watered down Plymouth and Pittsburg is a aliexpress Guam. I dont see any place for Indiana at all, but that is all to be expected. Oversaturation of UR's have backseated new SR's barring some meta changing gimmick.
Fargo is an SSR plymoth in terms of skill 2 that isn't restricted to buffing BB's. She'll be a great addition to Op-Si fleets where she can buff specific ships like Hakuryuu while also giving the fleet healing. It's not a ship you'll put everywhere, but its a good ship.
I really wish they at least removed the "on cooldown" stipulation on her skill. It really wouldn't break anything considering she is still squishy and PVP damage is just stupid between IJN BBs and IJN (META) torps. Not even Anchorage really survives anymore.
the uss pittsburgh in this game was renamed the USS Canberra before launch in 1943 in honor of the HMAS Canberra which was sunk during battle near savo island. Shes the first ship that was named after a foreign city she should be called uss canberra

I feel like Eldridge will be a great compliment to Kearsarge since she will trigger for both Kearsarge's airstrike and barrage.
Assuming you time them 5s apart which seems not worth it.
