Today’s episode is all about deciding whether to wear a can-can under your skirt or not. Should it be a soft can-can or one that makes your skirt look like an open umbrella? Should you choose a detachable can-can or have it sewn into your Lehenga? And how much flare should your skirt have to add that touch of drama to your Lehenga?
After working in the wedding industry for over ten years, I can confidently say that the importance of a can-can is often exaggerated. I’ve had to remove and alter can-cans a lot, not because I wanted to, but because I had to. What’s most important to me is making sure the bride feels light and comfortable on her special day. It’s sad to see brides weighed down by heavy clothes, especially on such an important day like their wedding.
I think it’s time for us to focus not only on how an outfit looks but also on how it feels. Let’s think about the weight of the outfit as well as how it looks when planning wedding clothes. My aim is to help brides feel not just beautiful but also comfortable in their wedding attire. I hope each episode helps you sensibly plan your wedding outfits.

Totally relate to that...I bought a reception gown from Mumbai for my daughter...shipped it from there. It had 4 layers of stiff cancan ...no way my daughter could carry it so removed 3 layers ..Detachable is the way to go.
