Mine arrived today.. so of course i had to try it out.. Im impressed.. although i do need to invest in some chaps and face protection before i get too ambitious.. Great product...
Just got one yesterday Calvin fitted to my Stihl FS100, I have some very tall and tough brambles to cut, not overly impressed with it on the brambles but it's brilliant on rushes, it mulches up the old stump of the rush bush no problem, the brambles I'm clearing are in a grove of trees and have been growing wild for about 10 years, they are growing up through the young trees up to 8 or 10 ft high, like a bloody wilderness!! I have plenty of time though to clear it up now with the lockdown.
Been using one of these blades (and 2-tooth) quite effectively for a few years on 25 cc Husqy & 26 cc Tanaka. I'd strongly recommend using a harness, to support the weight, AND keep the blade from kicking back at you, besides using flat and 7/32" round files for sharpening (round for inside the bends). Mine needed static balancing- smoothed operation a lot. Next test: run it on 45 year-old 21 cc Echo, besides the 2-tooth. About 1 hp seems to work fine.
Hi. On mine the back plate with the hole in to lock the spindle is the correct size for the blade . then I just put the husqvarna blade adapter ( washer ) bump ring and nut. Yeah I rather use the silver bump ring. it saves the nut from digging in the ground. Cheers. Calvin
Nice demonstration calvin . I did start by using my petrol strimmer with blade attachment to sort a large area of brambles but with the thickness of the brambles it was taking to long & jamming the blade so i ended up using my old petrol hedge cutters and it worked out fairly good keep them coming cheers Garry calvin how about a quick review of your 90 land rover 👍👍👍
Many thanks Garry. I will do a quick walk around on the land rover in my next yard vlog. (16) I'll do it this week coming. Keep a look out for it. All the best Calvin
Hi Road Warrior. This is my sander. ( Its a long link. Any little air sander or a 90 degree die grinder will do it. I use 50mm roloc Discs. Cheers, Calvin
Great Tutorial. But, I'm out of luck. I can't find any reliable source where I can purchase either the Oregon 2 or Oregon 3 Tooth Brushcutter Mulching Blade to be shipped here in Greater Atlanta, Georgia USA. Any thoughts? Posted Question on Thurs April 16, 2020
Calvin Thomas you're right. That thing comes off and 1, who knows where it stop. 2, what would stop it. Just looked on eBay and their £13 for a two tooth blade. Hardly seems worth trying to make one. Good review and look forward to the next one. Cheers mate.
You play very nice... But I have something to ask you: Why you shake your back if you don't f...k? I think the land suppose to remain VERY clean after your joke with your toy! Agree? Anyway, you look in the minute 13.42 like Rambo with some huge machine gun...

Hi. Yes They do a good job. Cheers, Calvin
I would be inclined to recheck the fitting and tightness of nut every now and again, and keep head gearbox well greased.

You didn't have to put the little silver ring on there? How did you center the blade, since the hole is much bigger than the threaded stud?

@@CalvinThomas05 Thank you.
Great work.
We also have 3 tooth/blade brushcutters at the golf course and they are much better and more efficient than the circular saws./ ZEG :-)
Hi ZEG8704. Thanks for the comments. Yes I also like this blade it does a good job. Cheers Calvin
Where exactly did you get this blade? I like the downward tips it has
i think 25cc is too low for this blade, strange think i dont found in the Oregon site but for me need 35cc for a good and safe work
Hi Simone. Yes I agree with you 100%. 35cc would be a better size for this blade. Cheers Calvin
Great piece of kit that👍🏼
Hi. Hooper’s Garden Maintenance Yes it works great. Actually better than I thought it would. Cheers Calvin

Hello, I know it’s 2 years later, but I just ordered both the 2 point and 3 point Oregon mulching blades for my Husqvarna 545FR on Amazon. Good luck
Which one was better to use, 3 or 2 blade ?
I wonder if you could make one? Or is it worth it? Probably not!
Hi bobbelsekwol. I did think about making one but I thought it could break so I bought one instead. I expect you could make one tho. Cheers Calvin
