Just wanna put it out there: For me, personally, the intricate look through each other's decks didnt seem like a waste of time at all. I found it super interesting and fun, so I wouldnt mind if you took more time to do it in another episode. Just my two cents, though, great video, so far. Quality content as always, I can't wait to see who takes this one!
honestly, at this point, I feel like the wheel can say goodbye, I really wanna see Burn/Mill in action instead of the same control/beatdown decks with slight changes over and over every week.
Well, seeing one of these videos go well over an hour makes me think that my consistently hour-long Pokemon TCG Progression isn't a bad thing. Can't wait for more of these and Progression for sure!
I know these episodes are already super long, but I'd be really interested to seeing the thought process on side decking during these type of videos because theres a lot of adapting that goes into it and I'd like to know what the thought process is.
If the opponent has 2 cards left, you friggin Delinquent Duo man... Destroying 100% of their cards is waay better than increasing your hand size by 2 when you already have 4. Game woulda been over 20 minutes sooner.
I really enjoy that they are taking time to ensure that they are using a different strategy (not necessarily of their choice either) to show off multiple different play styles and deck types. That’s something really interesting to look at on the grand acale

You know, even older players can benefit from watching this. Even though I'm only playing Link Evolution on the Switch, this series - and the other one - are making me think more about the plays I'm making when I'm on that game. It's helping to sharpen my skills and think more about the theory of the game.
In game one, cimooooo should have lost 300 life points when tomato went over his witch. This mattered at 29:32, when MBT could change of heart Dark Elf for game. He only didn't because he thought it wasn't lethal.
Does mst negate the activation of a trap. For instance, if my opponent uses trap hole on my normal summon, can I use mst to negate my opponent’s trap hole? In certain video games I’ve lost the mst and my normal summon instead of the mst negating trap hole.
MST doesn't negate, it only destroys. However, MST can stop continuous effects that must be faceup on the field to resolve from applying, so it effectively can negate a continuous trap or a field spell.
Honestly, they should use an automatic dueling system because they make SO MANY MISPLAYS because they don't red or don't understand the cards. Let the machine do the job for you.
Suggestion: How about both players bring 3 different decks and if you lose a match you may no longer use said deck? That way we might get to see more deck veriety per game and later on it might stop mirror matches between the deck that was clearly on top for that meta.
Honestly, it doesn't matter what the wheel says, BOTH of you will just bring a CONTROL deck to the game and say it is "Beatdown" because control is just sooo much better with lots of removal. With the way this is going, you guys may someday do a Witch/Sangan "beatdown" deck because of how strong the removal cards get. A beatdown deck where there are more removal than combo pieces needed to OTK your opponent just doesn't feel like beatdown at all. It is just control deck with good level 4 monsters
when someone activates heavy storm, can you activate call of the haunted in response to bring back a sangan/witch, call gets destroyed, they pop and have their effects activate? or am i wrong? :)
Paper strategy works for MBT this time. Maybe it'll work again next week that is unless cimo learns to go scissors! It will be intense either way! Here is the score: Cimo: Matches: 6-4 Games: 14-12 RPS: 4 MBT: Matches: 4-6 Games: 12-14 RPS: 6
What happened at around 33:00? Did I just see MoF get on the board without being set in the first place or even have its flip effect resolved? Am I missing something?
Ok this sounds bizarre but I think MBT forgot to put MoF to hand instead of sending it to the grave. No Flip effect was resolved. I just got the clarification after he normal summoned Sangan. Nevertheless, it was a weird occurrence to me at least seeing play pan out like that. Most importantly, I think it's better to stay vigilant otherwise errors may be caught during these duels rather than slide it off as some oddity.
MBT assumed cimooo would give him the MoF and preemptively added MoF to his hand, then he put it on the bord to not forget about it (he should have put it directly to the grave imo) then put it to the grave anyway after cimooo finished to chose.
@@laytonjr6601 Wait so I was doubly incorrect? I might be seeing some illusions here and there but thank you for shedding the light on the situation. OMG WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH THIS GAME!! Witch of the black forest adds TWO cards now? tomato and mof??? painful choice dumped only 4 cards!??!?! PTSD CONFIRMED
End of game 1 - If he woulda Change of Heart your Dark Elf, he coulda attacked for game. Cuz Cimo was actually at 1900 LP (not 2200LP) - due to forgetting to calculate the 300 lost from Tomato attacking his Witch near the start of Game 1.
Cimo missed taking 300 damage during the Mystic Tomato train when he special summoned a Witch of the black forest in the first game! And MBT missed 450 damage in another Mystic Tomato train in game 3! Also in the first game, Jinzo and Torrential Tribute should`ve gone to MBT`s hand because of Cyber jar!
We need an episode 10.5 due to the big game changing mistakes in this episode. MBT should get to play a burn deck in this episode as punishment for Cimo's transgressions.
I keep mentioning it since a couple of episodes ago but they should just switch to EdoPro instead of continuing with duelingbook. EdoPro also has all the pre-errata cards but also let's you choose the Master Rule. Plus, you can just turn off the ban list. It would be perfect for this series but they for some reason insist on continuing with duelingbook
@@pandaman1331 I seriously don't get the point of why you do a series like this on dueling book is it to make sure every episode is over 30 minutes long I genuinely don't know
The fact that Cimo and MBT played almost the same deck despite rolling what should be completely different decks makes me feel like the spirit of the wheel is being pushed to the way side. When I think beatdown, I think big beaters with cards to help you break through, or an equipment strategy. They both just played control...
I'm actually shocked they haven't started realizing Trunade should be in the main deck instead of the side deck yet. Look it was used to reset Swords, Snatch, Premo, Call, equip spells and more. The fact that you got to remove opps cards like Call, swords and more was a huge swing alongside having the ability reset your spells was crazy. Say ok Swords is about to expire Trunade to reset it or Premo into doing that again since Premo only destroys the monster when the card is destroyed and not if it's returned to the hand.
These two wouldn't last 5 minutes in a city card shop. They would be torn apart by all the illegal plays and would never recover from it. Playing like children that say Charizard wins because it's Charizard smh 😔
10:58 - I remember when I first got into yugioh and didn't really know the rules and mostly played like the anime "500 for a summon? that's dumb, why would I do that?"
Really not sure how Cimo thought it was close between Duo and Pot of Greed in the first place; you should %100 take the Delinquent Duo in that situation. Leaving your opponent with no options is so much better than drawing deeper when you already have multiple normal summons in hand(and it's just kinda funny he got punished with the top cards being *both* 1-of Jars). Kinda the same outcome though with MBT setting his whole hand when Cimo didn't have a set monster that could possibly be Morphing Jar or any way to play his hand out next turn.
This is why we don't want the wheel. "Hope I get burn, I have a great deck for it" "I hoped I'd get control, I had a fun deck for it" then just play what you want to play!!
Man, Cimoooooooo's "beatdown" deck is more control-oriented than MBT's control deck. He can't seem to break out of his own playstyle. I mean NO equip cards? No tutors for Tribute fodder? Why is he running Nobleman of Crossout and hand ripping? Edit: MBT even calls him on it at 15:48. Hilarious.
I'm not sure Cimo could've seen MBT's deck after using Nobleman game 1, all 3 copies of Magician of Faith were banished already, so there's nothing to verify
Control and beatdown aren't really different enough to be considered different decks. They both run goodstuffs and win via battle damage. You could even argue that tt could be good in beatdown and uo could be good in control. I feel like the wheel should be burn/mill and goodstuffs. That way each week wouldn't basically be the same matchup over and over again. Love the series regardless tho, keep up the good work!

"Will you be paying for Imperial Order?" sounds like the greatest out of context text to be put on a t-shirt. It sounds so forceful it's perfect lol
DRAW FOR TURN! :D
Anyway love the series! I love that people got to see that intersting gameplay exists in theese formats too! Because it is! Even more intersting than nowadays in my opinion...
MBT communicating with the audience via camera is pog
Just wanna put it out there:
For me, personally, the intricate look through each other's decks didnt seem like a waste of time at all. I found it super interesting and fun, so I wouldnt mind if you took more time to do it in another episode. Just my two cents, though, great video, so far. Quality content as always, I can't wait to see who takes this one!
I love how the start of each game makes it sound like Neo and Trinity are about to shoot up an office building.
When MBT wins next episode I want him to immediately take off the Shirt of Shame and do the post-game commentary shirtless.
honestly, at this point, I feel like the wheel can say goodbye, I really wanna see Burn/Mill in action instead of the same control/beatdown decks with slight changes over and over every week.
Cimo Not taking that first 300LP damage in the beginning ASAP made me yell at that screen... lol
Setting morphing jar #2 off of cyber jar was the fatal mistake of game 1
If the opponent has 2 cards left, you friggin Delinquent Duo man... Destroying 100% of their cards is waay better than increasing your hand size by 2 when you already have 4. Game woulda been over 20 minutes sooner.
I really enjoy that they are taking time to ensure that they are using a different strategy (not necessarily of their choice either) to show off multiple different play styles and deck types. That’s something really interesting to look at on the grand acale
2:35 Huh.... The Wheel just doesn't want Burn / Mill
13:05 MBT keeps flexing With the Sleeves
15:50 Cimoooo's Beatdown Deck proving is just Control disguised
23:40 Cyber Jar! DO YOUR THING!!!
1:01:55 Poor MBT
You know, even older players can benefit from watching this. Even though I'm only playing Link Evolution on the Switch, this series - and the other one - are making me think more about the plays I'm making when I'm on that game. It's helping to sharpen my skills and think more about the theory of the game.
Cimo is so great at the game that he forgets to take tiny damage or LP cost and thinks that the viewers won't notice
40:30 THIS IS WHY YOU RUN TRI-HORNED DRAGON!
Is it just me or could have won quicker if he just kept Jinzo, summoned Dark Elf, Monster Reborn a 1850 beater then Raigeki?
are we going to ignore how mbt won game 1. cimo did not take 300 from tomato on witch so the dark elf could not go for game 18:30 30:00
i mean if you dont get caught cheating by opponent i guess its fair game xD
It's all pretty unintentional and can be easily avoided by playing on anything that isn't dueling book
Honestly, they should use an automatic dueling system because they make SO MANY MISPLAYS because they don't red or don't understand the cards. Let the machine do the job for you.
Congrats, Cimoooooooo on 250k subscribers!! JUST WOW!! Come to this far on your journey.
Suggestion:
How about both players bring 3 different decks and if you lose a match you may no longer use said deck?
That way we might get to see more deck veriety per game and later on it might stop mirror matches between the deck that was clearly on top for that meta.
I like MBT always makes a play and then immediately reverts it, brings me back to all my dark hole activations
Overdue comment, but shouldn't the milled Jinzo and Torrential from Cyber Jar in Game 1 have gone to MBT's hand, not grave?
Here is the score:
Cimo:
Matches: 6-4
Games: 14-12
RPS: 4
MBT:
Matches: 4-6
Games: 12-14
RPS: 6
I was honestly confused as to what MBT was doing and the play could've been more organized. However players may usually grow tense in a certain position so I can understand. It was a good game nevertheless and an exciting venture so far into the series!
OMG WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH THIS GAME!!
Witch of the black forest adds TWO cards now? tomato and mof???
painful choice dumped only 4 cards!??!?! PTSD CONFIRMED
Joseph didn't add jinzo and TT after cyber jar resolve?
Oh come on.. just make it so the winner chooses his playstyle, instead of having a second spin. : /
We have to teach these boys to play yugioh, how to draw cards and take damage, before long they'll forget you only get 1 normal summon
This format was actually the most fun till now
Funny how pot of greed wasnt so absurd in this context
Cimo missed taking 300 damage during the Mystic Tomato train when he special summoned a Witch of the black forest in the first game! And MBT missed 450 damage in another Mystic Tomato train in game 3!
Also in the first game, Jinzo and Torrential Tribute should`ve gone to MBT`s hand because of Cyber jar!
my favorite part of any history talk is when they take out the game show-esque wheel
Aw I miss games of yugioh going more than two turns
We need an episode 10.5 due to the big game changing mistakes in this episode. MBT should get to play a burn deck in this episode as punishment for Cimo's transgressions.
I love these videos, I just wish there was a way to prevent game-changing mistakes/rulings 😭 it feels bad watching knowing someone else should've won
they need a judge
I keep mentioning it since a couple of episodes ago but they should just switch to EdoPro instead of continuing with duelingbook. EdoPro also has all the pre-errata cards but also let's you choose the Master Rule. Plus, you can just turn off the ban list. It would be perfect for this series but they for some reason insist on continuing with duelingbook
@@pandaman1331 I seriously don't get the point of why you do a series like this on dueling book is it to make sure every episode is over 30 minutes long I genuinely don't know
@@oceanoccupant1761 Its so they can manually change shit
@@skeletonwar4445 fair enough
we stan MBT regardless of any plays or misplays he makes
MBT: I'mma have to do Laundry at some point.
The Dragonmaid? You live in the Dragonmaid Mansion?
You guys need to throw the wheel out and just run burn/mill already!
I forgot you also wanted to include Dust tornado in the main deck as that was your out to order and was still useful as spell and trap removal.
In duel 2 @40:50 does imperial order not negate the active premature burial sending the equipped monster to the grave?
Alex breaks Tom's win streak. Tom wears The Shirt of Shame again.
Guys I think you messed up in game one a lot most notably the cyber jar play at 25:00 MBT Jinzo should be in his hand not graveyard
I think goat format should get more than one episode or an extra long one.
I haven’t watch all of it yet but I know I will love it
Control and beatdown aren't really different enough to be considered different decks.
