    About Frankie Drake Mysteries:
This drama series, set in stylish 1920s Toronto, follows the female-only agency Drake Private Detectives, led by the eponymous Frankie Drake and her partner Trudy Clarke. Incorporating a brand of justice that doesn't always follow the law, Frankie and Trudy investigate mysteries and crimes that either the police refuse to take on, or that their clients cannot take to the police at all. Against a backdrop of social change, radical politics and jazz music, the series is immersed in both the real Toronto of the 1920s and the world of mystery and suspense conjured by creators Carol Hay and Michelle Ricci.

Love this. Easy way to get into it. I hate how modern competitions enforce all kinds of bizarre and unnatural body positioning "For the Judges".... Sounds like we need more real judges who actually dance, and not just sit around nitpicking at people.

I wish someone would do one of these with 1920s music, but still, great! Love it!

Slow/slow-quick/quick in a 'straight 'line (around the dance-floor) is one form of the Texas Twostep (to fast music); which is a derivation of the Foxtrot.

@@facelessdrone um its a stereotypical 20s costume lmao. and it is short for the 20s

@@facelessdrone that is very untrue, that is just what pop culture leads you to believe. While the actual flapper dressed did indeed look pretty short for the time, they still didn’t go above the knees. Hope that helped.

Not for the black flappers of the 1920s

Can we just agree that the dress is a stage costume and that is why it is shorter than the dresses ordinary women wore?
If you watch silent movies from the twenties most of the dresses are about knee length and usually worn by young women. Adults usually wore the longer flowing dresses with sleeves or jackets to match.

The dress isn’t of the period; while the classic flapper dresses were short for the time, it was the 1920s, so, their knees were definitely covered.
