Rarity usually means value. Our citizenship as Americans should mean something and have value. I live in China currently and their citizenship means something and is not something easily obtainable. It is almost impossible to work here without a a degree, a health check, and a criminal background check. I was tested for almost ever disease currently known to man. My wife came in legally and to date it has cost us over 5K to get her marriage based green card. That is lawyer fees, immigration application fees which were $1500 and $800 respectfully, medical examination, shots, blood work etc... is around $800, biometrics $80, and I am forgetting some I am sure. We have went through all this and she still hasn't gotten her green card, and yet they come over illegally and pay absolutely NOTHING, they are connected with an immigration agent who helps them, this is not right.

Steven A. Smith must have grown up in a predominantly white neighborhood if he's never heard black folks complain about immigration, or he's lying. Because I've lived in both white and black neighborhoods all of my life for the last 45yrs, and I can honestly say without a shadow of a doubt that I hear them complaining the more about this subject than anyone else in the country. They cannot stand Mexican or South American people coming in and taking what they feel is rightfully theirs or taking their spot as the top minority. And they are very open about this. The problem is that they ALL HAVE SS#’s. That appear legit and are “operational”. Many are stolen, while others are generated but the bottom line is that employers can’t be the ones in the end held responsible for a broken system. I’ve personally dealt with this issue for decades on both the employer side and also having our SS#’s stolen in 2014…what a clusterf*€k of BS the entire system has become. Things need to change at the Dept of SS p and IRS with measures taken to combat identity theft.

My family and I live in El Paso Texas, things here are so bad, and have been so bad that it almost seems normal. We have been overrun with illegal immigration. My wife who paid her fees, waited her turn in line, went to all of her appointments is now a Mexican American, she is also a director at our local hospital. Now the point is her brother who runs a manufacturing company, can not process his application to become a US citizen because of all the illegal immigration. BTW they move all the people at night between 1130pm and 330am to hide the vast amount of illegal immigrants.

Now I am 64. When I go to the VA for a physical, the waiting room is full of "migrants" that get free health care while I pay about $750 per year for a physical and some blood pressure medication, they refuse to provide dental so I've had to pull 3 teeth at home over the last few years.

I just did my taxes. It makes me sick how much I (a middle class worker) pays in federal and state taxes since I live in California. People left the security of a country to venture off into the new world due to overtaxation. To think my hard earned money is going to all the social programs I don’t agree with infuriates me. The millions of Americans who rely on social security should pay very close attention to this, but of course they won’t. The little old ladies who have there old sons living with them huddle in front of TV’s with CNN on believe differently. If this country sees another Biden term, we will collapse as a country.

I talked to my buddy on the phone two days ago, he's out there in Commiefornia, mostly due to family. He's kind of stuck, though, in part because his son has a good job, yet is nowhere near being able to afford his own place. He is very unhappy about how much he struggles compared to his parents and now how much his son is struggling compared to him. I'm becoming increasingly convinced Boomers in power, along with illegals, are intent on fleecing this country and destroying the inheritance of millions of citizens before it all falls apart.
