“If I fall, if I fly, would you stay by my side, like you said/Guess I’ve got to roll the dice, risk my head, not my heart,” Nayana IZ (Eye-Z) wistfully sings over plaintive keys on confessional new track ‘Breaking Point’. What was first an ode to her boyfriend, manifested into something far more profound; the world-weary consciousness of a British-Asian woman. This bruised vulnerability serves as both a rebirth and a prelude to a new era for the singer-rapper: “These are the songs I’ve felt strongest about. Going forward, I’m thinking consciously about how I can make a powerful impact as an artist. This is the new phase,” Nayana affirms.
