As someone from Michigan and has seen the situation in Flint first hand, I really appreciate you taking the time to put this together 😭 that community has been through so much! 🧡
I went to college in Flint and I'm so happy to see you donating to these kids! They totally deserve it, they were some of the sweetest kids I've ever met. Thank you for giving your time and money to help them.
I loved this entire video but the back to school shopping had me in tears 😭 I work in a district where most of the students struggle financially so to see the effort made by you to pick the “cool erasers” made me sob. Thank you for giving a piece of Hope to these more than deserving kiddos!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I’m from Flint. I remember when it was a busy, bustling city with beautiful shops and lovely families lining the streets downtown. I’ve shopped that Goodwill store more times than I can count and worked at Genesee Valley Mall. It makes me so sad to see all the poverty and blight that now exists in my childhood home. I spent many years running a summer feeding program in a downtown park and working at an after school program at The Salvation Army. There will always be a special place in my heart for Flint.
I am born & raised & currently live in Flint, MI. My eyes got so wide when I saw you had visited. Wish I would've known so I could come say hi. Thank you for bringing light to our city. And thank you for donating
You should be upset she painted it in such a bad light. Stood in a parking lot of an open movie theater, just the closed parking lot. I'm thankful for her donations but the overall way Flint way portrayed was shameful. We ARE struggling but we need respect not "look how poor they are"
Thank you Hope for helping children of Flint, Michigan! Being a native Michigander, I appreciate you sharing the need in Flint and supporting children with supplies for back-to-school.
My parents grew up right in flint. I visit there often. It is very sad because you can tell it use to be very nice. My parents still know where everything is. It’s unfortunate.
One thing I constantly see in Hope’s channel is her giving back to her community all the time. Thankyou for donating to the cause. May God bless you abundantly Hope and family ♥️
the FULL backpacks were an amazing and very heartfelt donation. i actually cried. good on you guys for doing this and doi g the research to give to an honest organization that truly helps!
Hope, thank you. I'm a single mom of 2 on disabilty and struggling monthly. We've had school supplies and Christmas donated to us on several occasions. I can't tell you how much of an impact it makes on families like mine. ❤❤❤ keep doing what you're doing. Youre making such a difference
Wow. Can I tell you how much I admire your capability and struggle. It most be hard. Sending you the biggest love to you and your family. Do you have any help from relatives/friends if I may ask? ❤❤❤ all love- M
As a Michigander, thank you so much. Flint has been through so much & no kid deserves to go back to school without everything they need to learn. I'm sure this is more appreciated than you'll ever know.
Thank you for continuing your frequent giving to children in need. You donated a bunch of items to my classroom (self-contained special education in a low socioeconomic urban city) two years ago, and those items continue to be of use to my students today. You're amazing!

This is why I love Hope. She is always giving back. And it shouldn't matter where she got the shoes that she donated. All thise kids saw were new shoes for school.. Thank you Hope for being so giving and caring!!
I love these types of videos!!! I was an Angel Tree kid and now my brother is one, so I'm really grateful for all the people who spend their hard-earned money on helping our most vulnerable communities.
As someone from Michigan, who has been in the same situation as those children, I just want to say thank you for donating. I know when I got things donated to me. It was the happiest day/holiday of the year. For around Christmas time you should check out sponsoring families for Christmas someone did that for me and I will be forever grateful
I grew up and lived for many years in Michigan, and I've seen the struggles of cities like Flint and Detroit firsthand. Thank You Hope for your Magnificent Support of these areas! You are a Blessing to us all!
I live in Michigan about 45 minutes away from flint, and that is so sweet that you gave to truly needy and worthy children!! I already loved you before this but I love you even more!! You are an actual angel!!
I shopped at a thrift store in a city called Hemet. It's a desert city in Cali. I found 2 paintings of Angelina Jolie. They were huge paintings in gold frames. They were painted by a popular artist who draws portraits of celebrities. Just a plain painting goes for $500. One of them of Jennifer Love Hewitt went for over $10k. These paintings has to be worth a couple of $1k or even more. People were following me asking if I was going to buy them. They were extremely heavy and I was carrying them as tight as I can. I still own them to this day and refuse to sell them.
Did anyone else feel some of those shoes were unpractical? 😅 The backpacks were amazing! That was perfect! And the Flint store at the end was so amazing!
As somebody that lives right down the road from the Flint goodwill, I appreciate everything you were able to do for the community. It is so run down and the youth could really use some love!
Love this video so much. I love thrifting but especially when the store has a purpose. The joy you brought to those children 🥹💜 Thanks for what you do!!
Thank you so much for helping the kids of flint. I grew up a couple hours from flint and a lot of the stuff that has happened there over the years has absolutely broke my heart.
This video inspired me to thrift denim pieces, paint them and re-sell them for a little profit. I used to do that in my 20's and I completely forgot about it. I am living paycheck to paycheck and really struggling skipping a lot of meals, going to sleep hungry lately. Thank you for the inspiration!
Hope I think what you did for the children in Flint Michigan was great. That city has gone through a lot over the last few years with the water issue and you doing this. Hopefully will show other people how important it is to think of others. You’re the best.
I am from Flint Michigan, I was born there in 1984 shopped at that goodwill hung out at that mall. Sad to see flint so crappy it's like the because flint ran on the big motor companies and they closed and then a water crisis since the 80's. As a child who lives in a poor area who lives paycheck to paycheck seeing you spend more than you had to especially to get the "cool erasers" has literally made me sob uncontrollably bc having to rely on school pograms like the back pack program and free lunch really makes you feel horrible but receiving something like what you gave would just bring a smile to any childs face I just wanted to say that I can promise you that you changed the life of those children living in poverty really does feel hopeless and knowing that someone cares really does make a difference
that is so lovely of you and your team to donate to the kids in Flint. I live in New Zealand and even I have heard of the hardships that Flint has suffered over the years.
I've definetly noticed a rural/urban difference in price and brands for 2nd hand. Where I live (big city) you can get an H&M shirt for 5-10 dollars/Euros, but if I visit my folks in the country side I can pick up the same shirt for 4 dollars/Euros, or find it in the pay-per-weight section for like 1-2 dollars/Euros.
Before thrifting and flipping thrift store finds became popular I found some wonderful brand new with the labels still on clothing at our good will and thrift stores. My favorite light jacket that I found was my Eddie Bauer green wool zip up for $4.99. Tags on. I love this jacket and the way its held up I was going to order a new one in a different color brand new from the store it is $129.00😳 so that was a nope. I also found a new kids coat for my grandson for $4.99 and it was a north face brand new coat. But now if you go goodwill and Mel trotter both bump up the prices so high they cost more than they originally were bought. Like 12.99 for a tank top from the gap that was $6 brand new. I don't shop thrift very often any longer. I do yard sale occasionally tho.
We have Value Village in Canada which is a huge chain of thrift stores and then the small charity thrifts. Value Village is so expensive for clothes that are all donated. You literally could buy new for less in some cases, corporate greed at its finest. The small ones are always well priced
Ugh I love you hope, I truly wish you never stop, you stay safe and happy and healthy! You are such a joy and genuine character that it be a true shame if you didn’t influence all these young woman!
I love watching you thrift for the items you want sustainably and take the time to support people who need help. I also have some family in Michigan which makes this video extra special to me. Thank you!
Giving back is lovely but did you really need a gray/washed out “poor” filter after the bright and colorful New York images. People without a lot of money still see just as much color as the wealthy.
Really??? All the love, kindness and hope in this video and all you can do is complain about an editing choice? Get off here and go make a positive difference in the world... Wow Hope, you are such a generous, kind, humble, caring and giving person, thank you for doing such amazing things for people. Your Pinterest outfits were so good. The jeans are going to be so cool, can’t wait to see them finished. ❤

@nattyboy5720 yeah but she literally put so much effort into going into multiple thrift stores, bought a bunch of school supplies, and backpacks to give to needy children. And there were photos, so its not like she didn't give it to them. Its just so kids click on it.
As someone who lives not far from flint and has done lots of community outreach in flint with my church to help the community it was awesome to see you donate all that to the kids! And I cannot tell you how much my students would appreciate something like this -- not too different from the kiddos in Flint. This is the best idea for giving back and hopefully will inspire others to do the same. I'm gonna show this vid to my students in my Environmental Solutions class here in Cambo!!! May I say, your an angel, thank you so much for doing so much for others. We have a young bus driver who goes out of his way to help what he calls his bus family. He will even carry your shopping right to your door senior citizens or not. And many of the taxi drivers are just as helpful. Thanks to all our angels with big hearts. This video brought me to tears.
Ugh those smiling kiddos made me tear up! Hope this is truly the sweetest and is a true testament to your amazing character behind the screen as well as in front! Favorite video I have watched in a LONG time!
THANK YOU for coming to Flint. ❤ 06:06 LOL well actually that outfit fits rather well because in MI this time of year is all about layers. There's always the first time at the end of summer when the flannels get brought out...
I’m not sure if this is mentioned in the video but most goodwills don’t source 90% off there things from where they are located. A lot of stuff is transported to locations from the closeted largest city with the most goodwill donation hubs. Smaller towns often have better things because of this!
Please don’t advertise “poor” as gross and disgusting and dirty. I’ve been growing up in a house with little to no money, we shop at value village often, and there are a LOT nice stuff there ! not everything is just a big pile of garbage.
This made me tear up a little. I was very poor growing up & if it wasn't for hand me downs or yard sales, I wouldn't have had anything to wear. I often wore shoes that were way too small & caused corns & sores on my feet. My dad was disabled & my mom had just left us behind one day. It was rough but honestly it made me appreciate things so much more. I love to donate all that I can to a local place that helps local families. There's been a few times where I think I'll sell my stuff but i just can't do it. I donate it instead. My kids do the same. Thank you for thinking of others in need. Big hugs!!!!
Another Michigan fan here! nothing new to say, just another thanks for using your platform to help Flint in anyway you can. Donations like yours are so great for practical and psychological needs

So happy to see you helping Flint. My husband grew up in a very poor part of Detroit. Those house are sadly everywhere. It happened to the house he grew up in. He still has family in Michigan. Last year we went to a graduation party, close to Flint. We ended up with a ton of food left over and a huge cake that wasn’t touched. We took it to the homeless shelter in Flint. So sad to see all the families. One kid was so excited when they saw the cake. He was around 5. He said “I have never had birthday cake” I cried so hard.

I work in Flint. Thank you for doing this. The people of Flint are the nicest people I have ever worked with.
If you can avoid it do not shop at Goodwill They pay their CEO insane amount of money and their special needs workers make as little as $4 an hour! They've also started to send 90% of their good stuff in to be sold at high end prices on their website they're no longer a good company to support.
She does not care unfortunately
Yeah 80 for an outfit from a thrift store is crazy
Love a UA-camr that gives back. You’re such a good role model and inspiration for other UA-camrs to follow!!!!! Love you and your channel!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
did anybody just randomly come across hope one day and now is obsessed with watching her videos?
Isn’t that how every follow works though?
That’s real
@@SQUIDELIZAI
Ya babes that’s how UA-cam works
YESSS! LITERALLY I HADNT SEEN ANY OF HER VIDEOS BEFORE AND WATCHED ONE AND NOW I LOVE HER CHANNEL
Wow Hope, you are such a generous, kind, humble, caring and giving person, thank you for doing such amazing things for people. Your Pinterest outfits were so good. The jeans are going to be so cool, can’t wait to see them finished. ❤
Thank you, Hope, for your generous donation of shoes for children in need in Michigan. Living just an hour away from Flint in Eastpointe, I truly value your kindness and the positive impact you're making in our community.
as someone from Michigan THANK YOU for giving Flint the love and visibility they deserve 💗 they have experienced so many hardships firsthand, including the poisoning of their water by the government. Michigan has so much to offer and will forever be my heart 💗
Why is the “Poor Hope” in the thumbnail dirty :(
I was thinking that too… not a very thoughtful or aware thumbnail
Because that’s how she sees people. She’s just trying to cover it by donating 😂
@nattyboy5720 yeah but she literally put so much effort into going into multiple thrift stores, bought a bunch of school supplies, and backpacks to give to needy children. And there were photos, so its not like she didn't give it to them. Its just so kids click on it.
yeah but i dont think she made it
@@ITSLILYUH she approved it
This made me cry. I wasn’t sure where this video was going to go but it was the best! You did a great thing. The kids reactions mean everything!
So geeked u came to Michigan! Born n raised--Currently live about an HR South of Flint! Thank u SO much for your support!!💕
As someone who lives not far from flint and has done lots of community outreach in flint with my church to help the community it was awesome to see you donate all that to the kids! I also love the hands of hope thrift store and their mission, I definitely stop in there whenever I’m out thrifting to see what they have! Carriage town is also a great place to bring donations!
I’ve been watching your videos for ages and I love you. But today, I just so proud to be your follower. Thank you for doing so much good in one little video. For sharing stats about Flint and for being a kind person. More of this please!
Thank you Hope for helping all these children. 😊❤ You're amazing!
Oh Hope! You truly live up to your name! I'm from a town between Flint and Detroit, and lived in NYC for 8 years. Now I'm a teacher in Cambodia! And I cannot tell you how much my students would appreciate something like this -- not too different from the kiddos in Flint. This is the best idea for giving back and hopefully will inspire others to do the same. I'm gonna show this vid to my students in my Environmental Solutions class here in Cambo!!! I love you 10000000 times more than before.. and that was a lot girl ❤❤❤❤❤ you're the best!!!
This completely made my week and it's only Monday here. Ahhh! YES! I hope you see this ❤ shoutout to cute Leo, Tyler, Anna, Aspen and all your awesome community. AhhhHHH!
Hope! you have one of the most beautiful hearts ive seen in anyone online..i love ya girl!
😊❤😊
What??? She never said it was bad…
Girl she never said it was bad💀
girl did you even watch the video
Thank you❤😊
Flint was my home for 10 years. Was awesome to see you do so much good for those kids. ❤
Hope, as a kindergarten teacher aide we see kids in and out of foster care, and kids whose families just need some help. This is amazing. I love what you do and what you stand for. You’re so amazing. This video really touched my heart 🩷🩷 thank you for helping schools make sure their kids get what they need to succeed in life. You have no idea how much of this these students will keep with them. ❤
The overall message of this is commendable, but the thumbnail is pretty questionable.
It feels like poverty click-bait...

1:31 NOT THE PIZZA WEDDING DRESS
I've just gotten emotional watching you give so much back to the kids. The world needs more people like you Hope!
Hello from Michigan! Your video literally brought tears to my eyes, thank you so much for coming here and helping our children.
As someone who grew up in Flint's backyard, yet went to high school in Flint. Thank you! That community deserves the world and so do those kids. So again, thank you Hope and Tyler:)
Such a wholesome video 🥹 Glad to see how much of a blessing you were to those kids!
As a born and raised, lifelong Michigander, thank you for your kindness to the city of Flint. I lived there briefly when I was a kid. That city and its people have been through so much. You are an angel.
I love your videos so much. I had a rough day today and I'm gonna feel so much better now! ❤
Thank you for supporting our hometown, Flint, Michigan! Hand of Hope is great & the people are even better!
0:12 who else was reminded of the show "2 broke girls" when hearing that name 😮?
I was thinking the same thing!!!
SOMEBODY ELSE WATCHES 2 BROKE GIRLS???
@@Mazeemaireewhy are you acting like it’s some undiscovered show? The first episode got over 19.1 million views.
@@llanadellrey nobody said it was undiscovered babes all I said was I’m not used to someone actually taking about it just because it has 19 million views doesn’t mean it’s not underrated 😂😂
I am in tears, thank you for helping and supporting someone's hope.
I live about an hour from Flint. I think it's really great of you to donate the shoes and school supplies! ❤❤❤
THE MICHIGAN ONE WAS GIVING FUN SOCCER MOM!❤
Lol
It's true though.. When it's cold you gotta throw on a coat over a cute outfit
You came to my home state of Michigan. I grew up in Flint. Thank you so so much for all you did for those kids. 😍😍😍
as someone from Atlanta Michigan, thank you HOPE!! That is so thoughtful and kind to do that for FLINT!!
14:47 oh my goodness! That little lady is so cute!!! I bet she’s the sweetest! Reminds me of my grandma SO much!
i really enjoy your videos. you’re so selfless and really care about helping people. i’m glad you use your platform for good.
The way HopeScope ALWAYS does something Nice in her videos like donations or giveaways is so kind and needs to be more appreciated 😭💗💗💗
I’m not lying when I say I BAWLED watching this video (seriously my husband was concerned). With all the negativity I see everywhere I go, this was such a breath of fresh air. Thank you Hope and Co for doing something so amazing for the community of Flint. ❤
Best Hopescope video I have ever seen. Bringing hope to the world! Thank you for giving back to the community. This is absolutely amazing ❤ You have come so far in your UA-cam career. I have watched you since the very beginning and your growth is so incredible. You have such a big heart. Thank you for your videos and everything that you do ❤
Aww! The kids with their new stuff 😭Hands up to you girl for helping out. Thrifting is so much fun. I’ve been having to be budget conscious this year and I’ve found so many cool pieces from goodwill and thrift stores. Thrifting and helping others out will always be on trend 💯
I’m a Michigander and seeing what you did for Flint made my heart explode 🥺💖 they have been through so much, I know for a fact you brought light into those kids lives 🥺 thank you so much for doing that, Hope 🥺🫶🏻
The beauty in your joy to give to those in need had me tears. God bless you and Tyler!! ❤❤
This video made me cry happy tears 🥺🥺 You're such a kind human and an inspiration! It's my goal to be able to give back like this 💗
If you're looking for someplace local in Utah to support, I really recommend The Other Side. Their organization supports people coming out of substance abuse recovery, as well as working to end homelessness. When thrifting here I always go to their stores first!
This made me seriously tear up! I am a HUGE follower of yours and I live just out of Detroit, this just solidified my heart to you! Thank you so so much for what you do! So proud to be a follower of you!!
I just LOVE that you give back to the less fortunate. The world needs more "Hope"
Goodwill absolutely does NOT have universal pricing. The GWs here in Northern Indiana are more expensive than the ones in Southern Ohio, for example.
I live in San Francisco, my mom lives in West Virginia. Hahah universal pricing? On the other hand when you find something amazing in WV, it's usually REALLY amazing.
4:18 the hat is everything it’s giving eras tour ❤❤❤❤❤

This video made me cry! I feel moved and inspired by what you guys did for everybody. Love you, Hope❤
15:32 that brought tears to my eyes. True words were spoken there, God bless you and your husband ❤
I didn't plan to cry by the end of this video, and yet I'm covered with tears anyway 😅 I'm an educator at a district with majority low-income families and imagining the impact of the items donated to these students to help them focus on their learning and worry less about the materials they need to get through each day, along with imagining the excitement on the day they all received them made me overwhelmingly happy. Thank you!
I love you girl but tht thumbnail is not it, its very troom troom
I thought it was really strange too
