Wow, what a unique hammer and crane, friend, this kind of hammer is very accurate for driving pipes of this size, really top notch, good luck and don't forget to take a break for a coffee, friend.
I see that who ever set the checker to the pipe pile using a shackle didn’t pay attention during his/her rigging training because if they had they would have placed the shackle pin through the eye of the sling rather then the live end of the sling cable. That way you would eliminate the chance of the sling back spinning the shackle pin.
Lovely video. Can I have permission to use about a 10 second clip of this pile driver in action in one of my own videos? It would really help with an explanation I am trying to create. I will of course credit your channel.
FOR PIPE PILE ITS A TWO INCH FLAT PLATE, WELDED ON. FOR H-BEAM ITS A HARD CAST POINTED WEDGE, WELDED ON. DRIVEN TO REFUSAL, WHICH IS TYPICALLY, THREE SETS OF TEN BLOWS, AT LESS THAN AN INCH EACH TIME.
i remember my childhood. i was watching the hammer work all day long and wondering why the hammer keep working. Today i got to know it is engine and the hammer itself is piston!

Amazing pile driving process
Functional machines are beautiful. Enjoyed it. Thank you from Japan.
This is the video that appears on Wikipedia, except that this version doesn't get cut off before the actual pile driving starts!

VERY interesting .... with just the 'naturally' ocurring sounds = [no music].
i love this place the hammer rocks
it seems like it's having a differential as the pipe goes through the ground
Pile driving is a nightmare is it's done within hearing range to your house... and you work from home.
Is this a diesel hammer?
Yes it is.
How much diameter of casing inserted and what is the value of soil....
Nice video!
