Thoughts on sync button issues? I just replaced 3 xbox 360 controller shells to chrome, neither of them will stay synced to xbox for more than a couple seconds now...

I got a controller with my gamestop refursed xbox 360 in 2011 and my older brother bought an additional one for my twin and so I had one new one old remote and the old crappy refurbed one has the left analog dead pratically and im not sure whether to buy an analog replacement and a custom case as the current one is chipping badly or buy a new controller. yet I already know how to solder just dont have a security screw driver with the little ball inside for the damned remotes.

hahaha dont worry if you do it care fully your fine ok and you dont have to do the triggers or dpad or buttons just put the case thats easy putting the case but not the bumber and othere things you know

love how he didnt do anything with the sync button, these are notorious for getting stuck, jammed falling out etc.... some will clip in an be tight and it will be fine, but more often than not they are not, sync button fail vid

Oh yes... I did do something with the sync button after I made this video. Push it in all the way and then add some superglue to where it connects with the rest of the case. This should prevent it falling out or jamming.

thesmf1210 did you ever make that video? I just replaced the shells to chrome shells on 3 xbox 360 controllers, and all 3 now have issues staying connected... Is that the issue? I feel like the little prong on the chrome sync button was longer than the original, i shaved it down some, but maybe not enough, is it constantly pushing the sync button, causing it to disconnect from the console?

Joshua Keelin possibly yes, there should be some movement, best bet is to mess around with the controller open and see if it loses sync, as for the vid, i never bothered in the end
