Hal-Ca/guitar wrote this song when she was 12!! Here she is 16 and Miyu/bass is using a 7 string custom made only for him by ESP and he is 17! This is the best trio since Cream and will surpass them before they are done. The 7 string allow for the full sound and he is a beast. Check their SRV cover of Scuttle Buttin LIVE in Texas when they were the ages, high school kids who are generational talents!!
This song was written by guitarist hal-ca when she was 12 years old, now she is 20. I recommend《dawn》live, she wrote it when she was 15, and she's 16 in the video.
miyu uses 7 string bass because he needs to do the bass part and some rhythm guitar part at the same time(not this song), which is not easy, and his playing is actually very complicated, not just some simple rhythms, they are a 3 piece instrument band, But because of miyu they don't sound like a band with only 3 members. This song is their very early work, there are some things that can be improved, maybe you should check out their music for the past 3 years
I think in your last Asterism reaction video I also recommends you to check he playing 7 strings bass, but I believe I recommending their newer song, this one is their old song that written by the girl guitarist when she was 12 year old
It takes WAY more skill to play a 7 string bass than a 4 or 5 string bass, NOT LEAST OF WHICH is because of how wide the neck is. They played this SAME song when they were 12, 13 and 15 and was playing the 7 string bass even then.
@@JustinPanariello well, try the two and then do a video of how it felt. Another reviewer/reactor commented on playing his 7 string bass and how wide the neck was and the complications of playing it vs. a 6 string, and he's a professional bass player.
@@grantg98 ive been playing pro 20 years. And know tons of pros. 4-5 is all you need. 6 or more strings is super niche and not necessary to making a living or making great music or playing bass great. Jamerson had 4. Jaco had 4. Sheehan has 4. All do more on 4 than this kid on 7. Not to bash this kid at all, just making a point. Also if you want to buy me a 7 string so i can make a video on it be my guest lol.
@@JustinPanariello ok, point taken. But howany high school ages "kids" have you heard play like that? The ONLY time I've ever heard teenagers play THAT good was band called Bad 4 Good, produced by Steve Vai. It's one thing to be a great musician if you've been playing for decades, but I have a special fondness for young musicians who play far beyond what kids their age typically play at. Watch them play that same song when they were 12, 13 and 15 and tell me they don't play as well as most other bands far older. Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/BMMZB4U_mEk/v-deo.html
I'll agree with others. You haven't seen what Miyu can do even in the slightest. Neither of the videos you have seen are ones where Miyu really shines. You haven't heard much so we won't roast you too much but you have seen two of the band's earliest songs, written and performed when they were literally children. Work through Guernica+a and you might have a different opinion.
They have plenty of variety, so one hour of Asterism is no problem at all. Especially once you reach their second album (Guernica + a, 2021), which is more progressive than their earlier stuff. And "Rising Moon" is one of their very earliest songs. Their second one, to be exact. Haruka may be 15 in the music video, but she wrote the song when she was 12, and recorded the album when she was 13 (which is the audio you just heard in this video). I don't consider it one of their better songs, but it's OK. I actually think that "155", which she wrote at 11, is a lot better. But what you should listen to next is "Dawn", from when she was 15. She is not only a world class guitar player, her song writing skills are up there as well: ua-cam.com/video/buQPvINJcA0/v-deo.html Then we can move on to "Church" and the more progressive stuff 🙂
Guernica +a is their third album, 1st is Ignition, 2nd is Guernica and 3rd is now you know. plus they have 2 EPs Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, in any and all Dawn videos she is 16 years old as well when they toured US
@@salsaucedo Guernica is generally considered an EP, as it only had 6 tracks. Then they added 4 more tracks, for a total of 10, and released it as Guernica+a. They've made a bunch of awesome songs, and released them in various ways, but even though I bought most of their physical media, I guess we all mostly listen to them in the form of digital playlists :-)

Been listening to them since your first reaction. So far there have been no songs that I haven't liked (playing random on amazon music). Guittar player is like a mash up of Satriani and Petrucci. I like the sound and even though it is not pushing guitar playing like the guys in Polyphia (as an example). I think this classic metal/hard rock playing is missing a lot these days so I am into it. The bass player has some really nice things I have heard on the songs so far. agree with you on the strings though. It begins to sound more like a guitar than a bass. The drummer is doing a great job but clearly is way more capable than what we heard here. I can appreciate a rhythm section that does what fits the song and does not show boat until it is appropriate. Hope you have more of this band lined up. I heard some synth type mellow songs while playing them. Don't know what album though. But was not this heavy fast shredding stuff so perhaps they give listeners a break when going through an album.

I've seen these guys in action before & they are pretty sick. Bass player is ridiculously good.
Very talented trio.
You telling a Miyu Yoshinaka to get his chops up and doing better is like a mouse telling an elephant to gain some weight 😂
